Ruby Tuesday PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Wait staff have gotten much better since my last visit but food not really improved. I just find it a very boring menu and the flavors to match. Salad bar is small and doesn't have many choices. Sneeze guard looked dirty. Just not my thing!

Hadn't been here for a few years and not much changed. Had the garden (salad) bar which was fresh but limited. For my entree I had the Blackened Tilapia which although was a bit dry was quite good and offered as a fit fair meal. Server was kind of cold and not very friendly. Atmosphere is quite good but did smell a little stale when I first walked in.

I have to say that the food here has definitely improved since our last visit a couple of years ago. I had the Salad Bar which was quite fresh although still limited, and as an entree I had the Bourbon Pork Chop which was tender and flavorful. We were originally seated in the bar area but it was dingy and musty so we moved to the main dining room which was better. Service was slow and she acted like she didn't want to be working that day. I think they have worked on the food but the decor needs a freshen up especially the bar area and staff better trained.

Stopped in while waiting for tires to be be installed next door and wish I had gone to Houligan's instead. Atmosphere is dreary and server was just not home. She was slow and just didn't seem to want to be working that day. Food fell short too and tasted like it was made with no passion or care. I ate quick and left. Below average all around.

Highlight of visit: The exit!

I'd like to follow up on a negative review that I had written in the last month. The Manager Phil called me personally. I've been back and all has been great.

This was not a good experience! It feels very dated and stale with the least enthusiastic staff imaginable and flat atmosphere. Ruby's used to be a good chain but it appears like they stood still several years ago and never updated their menus or attitudes. The server could not manage a smile and was absolutely awful. Salad bar very limited and even the drinks were weak and tasted watered down. The overall experience here felt like we visited a restaurant on its last day before closing its doors, as no one cared and food was just given without consideration of us ever coming back. Which we won't be! Very sad.

I had a full rack of ribs classic style. The best I have had since I left Chicago fifteen years ago. I was actually shocked at really how delicious they were. We now use their pick up service about twice a month . The service is outstanding and again..those are some mighty fine ribs.

I was impressed with the very patient waitress as she dealt with two very picky elderly people. She was friendly and kind. Meanwhile the food was good as well.

My wife and I like going to Ruby Tuesdays for both lunch and supper. On one occasion (several months ago) the salad bar was a mess even though the place wasn't crowded and there was enough staff to clean it up. I wrote a letter to the corporate office and someone called and thanked me for notifying them and assured me it would be resolved. Now when we go we find the salad bar to be managed better with someone cleaning and re-stocking. As for the meals we've NEVER had a bad meal there. We've ordered several chicken, steak and seafood items and have always been pleased with the food, service and atmosphere.

Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. Girl behind bar was friendly and service quick. Had the Green Bean appetizer which was excellent and a sandwich. Would like a better beer selection especially how so many of the other restaurants are offering a much larger selection of craft beers. Overall though, a good lunch.

They do not always open on time, leaving many customers in the burning sun waiting to open at so called 11am? We have eaten here several times, as there is not many places in the Palm Coast area to eat. The biscuits never are ready to serve, so days they are not even ready and we have eaten and left. Salad bar is very good. The chicken bella is half the size of the other Ruby Tuesdays we haven eaten at in Florida. Honestly is is OK, but not the best one by far.

Ordered a burger, medium. Received the burger with fries. Started eating the fries and by the time I cut into and started on the burger, the bottom bun was saturated with grease and blood and running on my plate. Showed the wait staff and they apologized and said they would bring me a new one. After a while, the on-duty manager returned with my burger and informed me that there was nothing wrong with the first one. It was my eye sight and the lighting in the restaurant made it look rarer than it was. Not very intelligent to say the customer is wrong and the establishment you work for is at fault. I asked her about the soaked lower bun and the blood on the plate after I cut into it and was told she never saw any thing like that. To tell a customer that he has bad eye sight and then lie about seeing it on the plate is just crazy. The wait staff was fine. The young lady who greeted us was excellent. She has been there when we were in before. Very nice. The lady manager.... what a waste!

The steak here is a swing and a miss. Ordered steak twice in two successive visits and both times it was a mess. The first time it was almost raw. Second time it was stringy and rough. Yikes. If it is on the menu, please learn how to cook it properly. Waitress was extremely sick; this is also not an isolated incident. Maybe I have terrible luck here, or maybe Ruby Tuesday's has just gotten this bad. The salad bar was the one high point...but it's a bit difficult to mess that up. Atmosphere is nice, but looks like it is struggling to achieve an identity. I might return, but it will be awhile. A long while. I definitely would not recommend until things change... a lot.

What is with the service here? It seems friendly enough but very slow and not attentive. They have quite a good selection of items on the menu. I just had a burger and the garden bar... the garden bar was messy, burger was OK but didn't like the fries much. If they work on the service in here they may be worth visiting again. Also quite pricey!

We have come here on several occasions, and each time we vow never to go back. It's consistently awful--everyone who works there is extremely rude and off-putting. The service is always terrible--several times our server has simply disappeared. Food usually makes me sick and they keep cutting the portion size back. They play terrible pop music SO loud! We find it hard to hold a conversation over the terrible music. Seriously, never again.

We must be eating at a different Ruby Tuesday in Palm Coast than some of the last few reviewers. Every time we visit Ruby Tuesday which is about once a month we are pleased with the atmosphere, service, food and the prices. The salad bar has always been clean, fresh and well stocked and is better than many salad bars at other eateries. The service has never been slow and the servers are always attentive asking how we like our food and if we need anything and the food, while not fine dining, has always been served hot, fresh and tasty so I'm at a loss about some of the other reviews which complain about everything. It is possible that at the time of our visits (usually around 5-6 pm) the service is better than when the restaurant it packed with patrons but even when the tables are almost full, we've never had a problem.

Just went last night to try the new menu after not visiting in years. I'd thought they may have improved but was clearly disappointed. The food was just OK, broccoli that came with my meal tasted as if it was re-steamed many times, old and bland. As we were eating, the staff was vigorously vacuuming and cleaning the dining room as if they were closing soon. Asked the vacuumer when they close and it was not for another 3 hrs. Please wait until guests leave the area to clean! That was the most annoying sound!

I will never go this restaurant again. This restaurant was just one disaster after another. Bad service and bad food were the only consistent things about this place. The "manager" could offer no explanations for his lame restaurant and staff. He just stood there staring at us when we told him how unhappy we were with the whole experience. If I was in Burger King, I might understand his mentality, huge error made when hiring this man as a manager, no communication skills. This place is a big THUMBS DOWN!

have been meaning to send this email for a long time, but never seem to get around to doing it. However, I wish to voice my complaint of the odor that one smells as you enter the restaurant, which is so unappetizing that on my last visit I simply turned around and left and have not returned again because the odor was so unpleasant. I can not understand why no one has noticed this unpleasant smell of stale food, cooking oils and god only knows what else. Please I beg you to correct this problem as I am not the only one who notices it and as of a result do not attend your restaurant. In short the place stinks. Thank you. GH Palm Coast, Florida

I vowed I wouldn't return here after too many bad past experiences, but I reluctantly visited after being persuaded by family members. This experience, I must admit, was better than my past experiences, however, it still left much room for improvement. The place was not busy but service was still slow. It took forever just to get our water but the staff were friendly.

I ordered a lunch special of two mini turkey burgers with the salad bar. The salad bar items seemed fresh but everything lacked flavor. The potato and pasta salads lacked seasoning and even the veggies had no taste. The turkey burgers were small sliders and were okay. Again, not very well seasoned or flavored and overall tasteless. The fries were just like the store-bought frozen variety. Skimpy on the ketchup... they won't give you a bottle of ketchup, just a tiny little cup.

For $10 it was okay and although I found most items to be bland, it is a nice restaurant inside and if you're not in a rush you can have a reasonable lunch here.
