We thought the restaurant was quite nice inside, but the service was terrible and the food a big disappointment. The flavors just didn't have the richness or boldness and I wasn't impressed with the stringy pieces of duck meat. Portion to price ratio was off! Very little rice. Soup bowl small. I know we're all have to watch $'s with this lousy economy, but at least make it worthwhile for me coming back and having the food taste better.

We have been visiting Thai by Thai since it was in its original location, but lately the food has been inconsistent. I don't know if it's different chefs but some dishes taste like different recipes. Portion sizes have shrunk, which I'm sure is their way of not increasing prices, but how small can you go before entrees become appetizer size? We always laugh at the owner who shuffles around looking pissed off all the time, but the atmosphere is quite nice.

A very mixed experience. Service is very efficient but not friendly. The calamari starter was excellent especially the dipping vinegar. The pad Thai noodles were congealed with very little meat and didn't taste as good as any I've had before. The red curry with beef was ok with a good sauce and tender meat. Portions were smallish for all dishes and presentations lacked the usual Thai flourishes. Nothing really wowed me here, and I don't think I would go back.

Everything from the service to the food is hit or miss here. The service seems to depend on the owner's mood, which in turn affects the atmosphere. The food is usally very tasty, but some dishes can have overcooked noodles and undercooked vegetables. Portion sizes have also become smaller, which I assume is their way of not raising the prices, but I feel a meal here no longer fills me up (I'm a big guy). Thai and I is a good alternative to here, but often after work I'm not in the mood to drive to Bunnell and back.

My first visit here and I thought the food was tasty but the portions were small for the money. My red curry had good flavor and the squid appetizer was very good. Service was 'direct' but very efficient and I thought it had a nice atmosphere and was suitable for lone diners. I would visit again.

My wife and I love the food here, and although the service is very efficient it's not always the friendliest. The ambiance is a little frustrating, it could be a very nice restaurant if they decluttered the dining room, played more traditional music, and staff didn't look so ragged. But it's the food we come here for and we can't fault that.
Highlight of visit: My favorite is the Massaman Curry and my wife likes the Pad See Ew.

The food here is usually very good and I like their curries, but today I was recommended a noodle dish which wasn't that great. The flavor was ok but it missed that Thai taste and the smoky wok flavors they usually get here. I'll stick to my favorite curry here from now on.

We were not so impressed with Thai By Thai. The food portions small with more sauce than ingredients. Duck was boney and stringy. Pad Thai was mushy. One friend did say his curry was very good though. Very strange service from a disheveled older gentleman, but the atmosphere is quite nice. We much preferred the food and service at the Thai place in Bunnell better.

My wife and I love Thai by Thai and we visit often. Yesterday my wife had her go to Massaman Curry and it was as tasty as every, and I went for the Drunken Noodles which was really good. I like the broad noodles they use and they get a wonderful smokey wok taste to the dish. Wash it all down with a Singha and we're very happy!

I've been a customer of Thai by Thai for a long time and although sometimes the service can be off, the food is always on par. I have noticed that the portions have shrunk lately, but I guess it's either that or raise the prices. They have a nice atmosphere and I like the rat pack music they usually play.

Dinner tonight was really good. Massaman curry was rich and tasty, and my wife's Pad See Ew was delicious and had a great smokey wok taste. Our soup starters were excellent and the spice levels all round were just as requested. Service was very friendly and efficient and prices are reasonable.

They no longer serve sushi, but it's the Thai food you want from here anyway. Their Thai curries are awesome, and they do some great noodle and rice dishes as well. Service is hit or miss, but we have never been disappointed with the food.

I had a Massamum Curry and my wife had Pad See Ew and both dishes were delicious. The curry was spicey but full of flavor and plenty of veggies, and the Pad See Ew had that wonderful 'wok char' taste with a nice soy and ginger sauce. We went for lunch and portions were big enough to have leftovers for dinner. Service was very good but getting the bill and paying was hard work! Thai by Thai is consistent and remains one of our favorite Palm Coast restaurants.

Our meal here was exceptional! The best Thai food for miles around. From the soup to apps to entrees, all our dishes were excellent. Only complaint was that we thought the portions were small for the price. Service very efficient and laid back no rush kind of place.

I recommend for the food as it's reliable and tasty, but the staff are very rude. I'd pass on the sushi and ramen but you can't go wrong with the Thai dishes. Curries are very good. I notice the portions have gotten smaller though.

Saturday night and quite busy. Service very blunt and almost rude but still efficient. My Thai food was delicious though but my GF wasn't so impressed with her sushi. It's seems like they added sushi to keep up with the other Asian restaurants, but maybe they should stick to being just a great Thai restaurant.

I learned my lesson not to order a 5 on heat level!!! It was too hot to enjoy or even taste the food. My bad! But before that the starters were all amazing and my friends loved their meals. Decor is nice but the guy taking our orders was impatient. The staff bring the food were cool though!

Review by Nick, Palm Coast 5/17/20243.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
The guy serving us looked like he had just come off the beach in Phuket with flip flops and scraggly clothes and had the people skills of a potato. I had a beef dish with egg and noodles and it arrived quite fast. First thing I noticed was that the portion looked small. It did taste ok but nothing outstanding and I wouldn't bother with it again. My friend had a red curry that he said was good.

Thai by Thai in Palm Coast offers moderately priced Thai dishes with a focus on flavorful curries like Massaman and red curry, and noodle dishes such as Drunken Noodles and Pad See Ew noted for their smokey wok taste. The calamari appetizer receives positive mentions for its dipping vinegar. While the food is often praised for taste and spice levels, several reviewers mention inconsistent quality and smaller portion sizes that may not fully satisfy larger appetites. Service tends to be efficient but can come across as blunt or impersonal, sometimes influenced by the owner\'s mood. The atmosphere is described as comfortable with some enjoying the music, though a few find the dining area cluttered and the staff presentation less polished. Overall, the experience highlights strong dishes but with occasional fluctuations in execution and service warmth.
