I think the other reviews said it all already... good food and strange service! I've had some really good meals in here and some very weird service. I've had servers who just spaced out one, one that couldn't speak English, and the owner just walk away from me half way through taking my order! Later to come back as if nothing had happened. But I go there now expecting service to be off as the food is so delicious! Can be crazy spicy sometimes so be careful.

Highlight of visit: Drunken Noodles are amazing.

People seem to either love or hate this place. I personally love it! The fragrant smell when you enter is awesome and the flavors of the food are amazing. But you have to get past the wacky owner and strange service. I actually think of it as art of what makes it unique. I have been here so many times over the years and never had the same dish twice and rarely have I been disappointed. Portions good and prices very reasonable. Atmosphere is cool and kind of industrial Asian but comfortable. Whatever food you order and if it's spicy make sure you get a Singha beer... it's the perfect complement.

The food was quite good but the service was horrendous. The server was rude and acted like she was doing us a favor. That was fine with me because it actually saved me money... I left a twenty five cent tip on the table... on top of the bill!

Wife and I went here last night for dinner and found the food to be delicious. I must admit that the service was strange but food came out in reasonable time. I had a curry dish and my wife ordered a noodle one. We both ate and loved every bite. Thai beer was good too. Prices right on for value and it has a nice feel inside. We will be back again soon.

I've been coming here for over 15 years since they were in their old location and everything has remained consistent. The food is still very good and the owner is still crazy. Servers are like a bunch on international exchange students but they're efficient. I keep getting drawn back here and it's because the food is so good.

I used to go here for my Asian fix but now go to Mamalings as the service is so much better and there's more variety of food. Thai by Thai does have some good Thai food but the service just finally got to me. Sometimes it's out right rude and even on the best day I never felt appreciated. I recommended this restaurant as a take away only so as to avoid the hassle of crap service. It's such a shame because it's a nice restaurant inside and if they had welcoming and friendly service that smiled and dind't treat you like an inconvenience, it would be an amazing place.

Contrary to what our party of four hungry vegans had been told at a previous visit, a snooty server told us that there are no vegan options because nearly every dish contains fish sauce and/or chicken broth, and, get this, that they usually turn vegans away.

To confirm what she said, I ordered the Tom Kha Soup, requesting that it be made with water instead of chicken broth (they don’t have veg broth) and I can assure you the soup was completely different. Needless to say, we will never step foot in Thai By Thai again.

Highlight of visit: Vegans beware!!

Had lunch here today and it was a very contrasting experience. First off the food was amazing and although a little too spicy than I can usually handle it was very tasty. The service is what made it strange though! The owner(?) seated us, someone else took our drink orders, another bought our drinks, the the owner took our lunch order, but each time he was like a different person! He was all smiles and nice one minute than he just acted like we pissed him off somehow, then he just walked away and came back different again! Don't know if he's always like this but he was odd again when it came to pay the bill. It was almost comical and in a strange way added a kind of quirkiness to the place. But as I said, the food really was good and even the rice was so fragrant. Prices very reasonable too and the decor quite nice. I'll go back again for sure if nothing else to see if we catch the owner on a good day or not LOL

Never had the sushi here but the Thai food is really good. Been for lunch a few times and everything is very flavorful and fragrant. Be careful of the heat though as the chef has trouble knowing the difference between medium spicy and hell hot LOL The owner taking the orders can be cranky at times and the young staff serving the food act like they're on community service or something! But in a strange way it kind of ads to the personality of the restaurant, which is actually very nice inside.

A definite improvement since my first visit. First of all the staff are much more professional with new Thai by Thai shits and looking cleaner. The menu is quite large and unless you're familiar with Thai cuisine it can be very overwhelming. I had a yellow red dish that was very flavorful in a wonderful spicy and creamy sauce. Chicken very tender and veggies cooked just right and not too soft. Hubby chose the usual Pad Thai but he liked it and we had left overs from both for the next day. Our Thai (Singha?) helped to cool the spicy. Prices Ok and ambiance was good but would of been better if there was more customers. The A/C too cold though. Will visit again.

When it comes to the food Thai by Thai is in my opinion the best restaurant in town, but it's the service that brings this restaurant down. The service is not unfriendly, it's just very scattered with most of the young staff looking like students on campus and not really knowing much about the menu or what to do, and the owner taking the orders in a sometimes abrupt way. But the food is amazing and I really like how they are willing to adapt dishes to your liking and to dietary preferences. Every dish I've had here has been so delicious although sometimes very spicy. Portions are plentiful and prices very reasonable too. Atmosphere is nice but lacks intimacy. I just wish they'd get the staff acting more professionally and then this will be a first class restaurant. Meanwhile I'll forgive the service for Thai by Thai's fabulous food.

I wanted some sushi, so I thought I'd give it a try. I asked for a spider roll and a side of Thai fried rice. The spider roll is supposed to be fried soft shell crab. Instead it was imitation crab with a few soft shell legs sticking out that weren't even hot. They were coated in something that looked like sugar, but I'm not sure what it was. The rice was dry and bland. All you could taste was the "hotness." When I asked for soy sauce, he looked at me and said, "Didn't we already give you some." And if you did, am I limited to only one?! I would have been better off at Tropical Smoothie. I didn't even finish it. I just threw the remainder in the trash. I won't be back.

I was so glad when this re-opened but first couple of visits were not good and it didn't taste close to how the old Thai by Thai did, but we decided to give it another go last night and it was awesome! It was as good if not better than before. My wife and I ordered different curries each and both tasted incredible. The flavors were so intense and even the white rice was fragrant and delicious. Service is good and everyone pitches in to make sure you're taken care of. Our only complaint is that we wish the staff would wear some kind of uniform or at least restaurant t-shirts. They are hard to identify as staff and look shabby.

Without any question the best food in Palm Coast. I visited with my husband for lunch and can't say enough about how wonderful our lunch was. The food was amazingly delicious and everything was cooked to perfection. No overcooked veggies, no tough protein, and the sauces perfectly balanced. Service was attentive, friendly and discrete, and the ambiance and decor relaxing and atmospheric. Plus, the prices very reasonable. Don't pass up on this restaurant! It's very worthy of your visit. Enjoy!

This is my favorite restaurant in Flagler County. The owner always remembers my order and the food is awesome! I waited a long time for them to reopen - even tried to learn how to cook Pad Thai... but I could never get to their quality!

Been here two or three times food has always been excellent service was good . I had the yellow noodle with duck which was great, also went there for lunch and had the yellow noddle with meat and seafood special and it too was great.

The appetizers were also excellent. This place is my first choice for Thai food in Palm Coast.

Always have loved the food. New opening - - rumors were that service was bad - - - sadly - - I've never seen worse attention to service. Sad - - will try again because we like the food. Owners- - - be attentive to your diners - - we want to you stay in business....you're losing your good customers and word is spreading.

Okay 'I try to be fair went twice..both times were not good. Food is tasty sushi is not fresh. Prices are a tad high for ratio to portion size. Wine and beer prices are too high.

Service is crazy... what is supposed to be your waiter or waitress doesn't take your order it has to be the owner or some other lady there I guess she's the owner's wife or a relative are the only two people that are allowed too because he or she doesn't allow anybody else to take orders. Then if they have too many people they tell you you have to wait because they've got too many orders to take and this was during lunch at 11:30! And like I stated only the owner and another lady can take over orders so the entire restaurant the wait staff are actually just like buspersons... won't go back anytime soon.

What a joke. Arrived Friday at 8pm. Was told we could sit but it would be 50-60 minutes to get any food. We were going to sit at the sushi bar since we were told we could get food there in a timely manner only to have an employee tell us if we really wanted sushi that we should go to the place around the corner. The owner walked past us 3 times without any acknowledgement. I was really looking forward to the day this restaurant reopened. I will wait a few months and maybe try again. My ratings are based solely on the fact that we did not stay.

Based on what Thai by Thai used t be like this is not quite the same. Long wait for tables and my curry just didn't have that unique taste it used to have before. It's more like a mainstream Thai place like Thai Korner. Sushi seems like an after thought that was not really offered on the menu. I'll let them settle for a while and try again.
