My Wife and I arrived 9/22 around 4:45pm. The food seemed to be left over from lunch, some trays were empty. Guess the change over from lunch to dinner is not a good time to go. The food tasted old and was not good.
My Wife tried to tell person at front desk when we left but that person was not interested in hearing it.
IF we ever go there again we will arrive later.
There is a Chinese Buffet in Spring Hill, Fl. that is always perfect. All Chinese buffets should be so good.

Wonderful! A great selection, plus a hibachi for no extra charge! Everything tastes wonderful. I am a lover of Chinese buffets and the price and food will keep me coming back as a regular customer!
Here's hoping this place lasts longer then the last tenant of their building.

My wife doesn't like buffets, but I finally talked her into trying lunch.Hey Mikey... she liked it. I thought it was great. Nice selection, fresh fruit, real boiled shrimp. The sushi was good. Iced tea tasted like tea. Good service and friendly.
For $20 we both left full and happy.

We had lunch here today and thought it was very good. Not the best Chinese food or sushi I've had but for the price it was still very good. Nice selection and variety and plenty for everyone. Very good price and server was efficient at cleaning away plates quickly and keeping glasses topped up.

We went because we heard they had a hibachi and Mongolian grill cooking stations and found a whole lot more. The restaurant itself is very spacious, bright and looks clean. Staff were all smiles and very friendly. In addition to the hibachi they had some very sushi and a well stocked salad bar and hot stations. Desert selections were good too with about 6 ice cream flavors to chose from. Quality of food was suprisingly better than I anticipated especially for the low cost per person.

Finally a great Chinese buffet in Palm Coast. They seem to be succeeding where previous ones failed. They have a good selection of items and everything I had was very good. Quality and selection are exceptional for the price plus it's very clean with friendly staff. I highly recommend you try it for yourself.

I loved the Grand China Buffet. I was a little hesitant to go there, but my boss was paying so
of course I thought free lunch.... why not? To my surprise I loved it! I will definitely go back for
lunch or dinner. It was very clean, food was fresh and it all tasted wonderful : )

This is a very good restaurant. The buffet is very well stocked and plentiful with a wide selection of dishes and items. They have a large sushi station which is made in front of you and they have another station where you can have your own selection of veggies, shrimp, chicken, etc., cooked to order with tasty sauces. Servers were very attentive and prices are excellent. It is also clean and very spacious. Overall a great place to eat good food at a very reasonable price. 3 adults ate lunch today for $24! It can't be beat.

Big surprise at a small town. This place is at par with some of the best buffet from California. Totally enjoyed the food, which was fresh and tasty, especially the sushi and hibachi. Service is good and the waiters are attentive and friendly. The restaurant's lighting is a little too dark for me, but then I never like dark restaurants to begin with anyway. Will definitely dine here again!

My wife and I visited for dinner last night and found it an enjoyable experience in a very clean and comfortable atmosphere. It's mostly a standard Chinese buffet but it is plentiful, fresh and well stocked and everything tasted very good. Staff all smiled and kept the areas spotless. For around $10 you can get a lot of tasty food. We're glad this place has opened in Palm Coast.

As far as Chinese buffets go, this place is quite good. Not too impressed with the service, but the food was good and I particularly liked the sushi selection. It's nice inside and very clean. Prices are good too.

Redecorated the restaurant and offering numerous seafood and Chinese favorites. Everything fresh with great fruit, and dessert offerings. Sushi and hot grill... what more would you want?
They deserve your business. See you there!

The food is much better than I expected it to be. They have a reasonable selection of items plus an hibachi area and lots of sushi rolls. Everything I tried tasted good except the fish was hard and dried out. The girls on the floor were pretty good but management didn't acknowledge us when arriving or leaving. Decor is pleasant and all areas appeared clean.

I'm not a big fan of Asian food; however, my wife is so periodically we will go out for Asian food. At first we were skeptical to try this new buffet restaurant but thought we should give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. Not only is the atmosphere nice but the food and service was more than we expected. There were lots of selections from which to choose and all the food looked good and tasted fresh. Didn't get to try the Hibachi because we were too full to eat anything more so next time we'll give it a try.

I was expecting to hate it, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Grand China Buffet. I liked that there were unique items, including the sweet bean steamed buns and peach buns. There were also a variety of Asian soups including miso, eggdrop, sweet and sour, and wonton. Additionally, there were several seafood dishes and fresh dim sum and other appetizers you could order at a Chinese restaurant. The sushi was good, more American-style sushi but there was very small pieces of nigiri (raw fish on rice). Overall a pleasant experience with a very nice atmosphere and food you wouldn't expect at a typical Chinese buffet. The only thing I didn't like were the times when it got busy and loud.

The star of the show here is definitely the sushi and hibachi grill. The sushi is plentiful with a good variety. The hibachi has some great selections and the chef added a choice of seasonings. The remaining buffet selection was reasonable but seemed to offer too many deep fried items. Deserts and ice cream were good. Servers were efficient but not very friendly. Price for lunch was about $8.

The best Asian buffet that Palm Coast has ever seen. I am NOT a buffet eater but my other half decided he wanted to go so we did. The service was great and the food didn't taste like buffet food, it was actually very good! The fruit buffet was actual REAL fruit (not that canned crap), and the rice was real rice. The decor was nice and I will be coming back.

The dining area is very nicely decorated and clean. Staff were friendly and smiled every time I walked by and kept drinks filled as needed. The sushi selection was very good and plentiful. Some buffet selections were good but some I tried were disappointing. Desert selection was very good and I liked how they kept the buffet area clean. Overall a good experience but would like to see a more varied selection of dishes.

Today was my second visit and the food has improved. My biggest complain was the hibachi as I had a very long wait until the chef came out. I rang the bell and waited and waited, then when he did arrive he acted like I disturbed him from something and was not very pleasant. Sushi was good and some items on the buffet were good where others weren't worth touching. The price was reasonable and it was very clean inside.

Having resided here in Palm Coast long enough, I have witness the lost of 3 Chinese Buffets in favor of a growing number of Asian bistros and fast food carry outs instead. So the resurgence of the sole Asian eatery offering a sushi bar alongside the usual Chinese oriented buffet was welcomed with mixed excitement by my friends and family.
The restaurant is easily accessible from Old Kings Rd but surrounded by other Asian eateries within a one block radius. Up until its opening, most of us yearning for a good Chinese buffet had to travel to more established eateries in St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Daytona or even Deland. Compared to both food service and quality of Grand China's buffet, up against other similar places we visited, both were just alright. Most folks that I've spoken to during my two previous visits there seem to enjoy the AYCE sushi bar while others that availed themselves of the Mongolian bbq/Hibachi found their meals flavorful but a bit over-cooked.
On their buffet side, their fried fish, friend shrimp, beef with broccoli, egg foo yung and dim sum were a bit on the dry and tough side. Some of the offerings on the fruit and salad bar could use a bit more attention. Some fruits were over-ripe others not ripe enough or had an off flavor. There was a sort of fruit salad on the bar that looked and tasted like a whole lot of mayonnaise over some cut up apples and raisins?! The last time I visited, I invited several friends to have them lunch at the restaurant for the first time and we all agreed that we were spoiled by the larger variety, greater quality and friendlier service from the other Chinese buffets we frequent out of town especially in their seafood offerings so this restaurant would not be our primary choice but will definitely do in a pinch.
The interior space and decor was pleasant and large but a bit on the dark side and the seating too tight. We were a party of eight average-sized 50+ adults except for myself and the only way to accommodate us comfortably was to take two of the larger tables and rearrange them end to end, which at first they were at first unwilling to allow us to do. None of us really found a particular dish to rave about but I was informed previously that some of my family members had had a chance to try the sushi and agreed that it was good. I sincerely wish this restaurant much success and hope that they remain vigilant in improving and maintaining the quality of their food and service.
