Grand China Buffet PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Visited with friends and had a much better experience than I thought I would. The buffet was plentiful and fresh. They have a good selection of sushi and the hibachi station is a nice touch. Ice cream and desserts good. Servers OK but could be more friendly. The restaurant needs a little attention inside. Overall though the food was good and we all left satisfied.

Anytime you see all you can eat you should be cautioned that the food is not gourmet quality... I remember someone telling me about this place. She said, and I quote, "The Food's not very good...But... there's a lot of it". That's all you need to know about this and any other all you can eat restaurant.

Highlight of visit: The soup was not that bad... I went back for more.

Love this place. Very big selection of food. All you can eat sushi is my favorite. The only thing lacking is the atmosphere but for the price, selection and quality that is easily overlooked.

Food was cold and been sitting a long time that a film and developed on the several trays of food... I mentioned to the hostess and she rudely stated no one else complained.... even though the couple next to us left saying that the food was cold and disgusting. I have eaten there in the past and wasn’t to bad but this time was really bad.... health department is way overdue for this place!

Never had a bad meal yet ,food is always fresh.When we get together with friends in Palm Coast it's the Grand China Buffet as our top place to go. When we have out of state guest ,we all like the food here also, Great place!!

The food is here quite good but what lets it down is the condition of the booths. They're most all torn and worn out and not at all comfortable to sit at. The rest of the place seems clean and reasonable though. I like their selection and the hibachi is great value. Good choices of desserts too. Service is OK as they clean away dirt plates, etc. very quickly but never refill drinks without being asked.

Food is not replenished regularly. Food left to get old and cold. Wait staff rude and unfriendly. Girl the replenishes the food at the buffet is rude if you ask her to replenish any food item(s). She will turn her back and walk away. No drink refills offered EVER. New food is poured over old food and then mixed in so you don't know how old the food really is. This is dangerous and can lead to food poisoning. Family owned and operated. Wait staff is very unfriendly. Big ceiling patch in center of restaurant looks like the ceiling will fall in at any moment. They obviously don't put any money into the building and are letting it get very run down and dirty.

This is my husbands favorite place to eat. Lots of good food to choose from and you can't beat the price. I don't really care for the dessert choices but then I don't need dessert anyway.

Quite good value for money. Large variety plus sushi and a hibatchi. It's very clean but some booth seats are showing signs of wear. Service efficient and prices reasonable.

Always have a good selection. Always prompt in removing used dishes. A good deal for $6.99 and plenty of room for seating. I suggest you give them a try.

Dinner at $9.99 offers ribs, calamari rings, and clams and lemon shrimp in addition to the lunch offering.

Where else can you get all you can eat for $6.99 at lunch. The food is good. You just have to remember that it's a buffet and not fine dining. Our family eats there often. The servers are very prompt and courteous. We've had no issues at all. The only thing I wish they would do is offer a better selections of Sushi... but again... it's a buffet. I love the fact that they offer a hibachi grill and will cook for you, that way you have more food choices.

Sometimes I think people who write reviews must have eaten at a different restaurant than the one where we ate. This is not fine dining folks, this is a Chinese buffet, and for the price, the food is better than most.

Servers have ALWAYS been friendly. Has anyone thanked the servers? Sometimes a thank you goes a long way. And, the food, while not gourmet, is constantly kept warm and replenished when needed. There are lots of selections and most of them are very good. They even have a grill where you select what you want and they cook it for you. How much do you expect for $6-10 per person?

Not much to complain about here. You get a lot of choices, most of what I had tasted fresh and the flavors quite good. Servers were on the ball and it appeared clean everywhere. We especially liked the hibachi and sushi selections. Deserts good too. Great value for money and come hungry.

Stopped here on our way back to New Jersey, and really liked it. If we lived closer would definitely come again. Service was great, very clean atmosphere, and fresh food.

This is far from gourmet Chinese or sushi, but it is quick and quite tasty. You're greeted with a big smile and service is highly efficient. The selection is good and I really like the hibachi grill. Deserts are great, too. Overall, you get a lot of food choices for the money in a clean place with good service.

Pros: the price at only $7 for lunch and $10 for dinner it's the cheapest buffet in palm cost that I know of. The restaurant is a real one, not a converted store to buffet, so the decor, while dated is nice. The lady at the front was friendly and so was the server who helped when the main one was on break. The unfriendly main server did refill my water and take my plates quickly.

Cons: the worst food at a buffet I've ever had, I wasn't even full and left early. I lived in Vegas before it went gourmet and tried almost every under $10 buffet in Vegas, this place is far worse than any buffet I've ever had... i never walked out early unfull because I couldn't find anything that was good before. the main server the day I was there didn't even smile once except when she gave me the check then she was the nicest person ever (think tip).

Bottom line don't avoid reading the comments like nothing is crisp, worst food and the server just laughed when told that, and the other comments. Since others are saying what I am saying differently I'll leave it at what I've written. No point in piling on.

Got here about 9 pm, nice people. Food didn't look extremely appealing but was very good, cleaned my plate. Beautiful place and lots to choose from. Would try again.

Nothing extraordinary...but nothing terrible either. The price is right and the selection is above average. My girlfriend loved the sushi while I tackled the many choice chicken and meats. The shrimp could have looked better. The selection is quite impressive and service was attentive. Atmosphere was good enough. I will add this place to my rotation.

Went there for lunch today and it was terrible. The food tasted terrible. It tasted like it was left over from the buffet the night before. We told the waitress that the food was bad and all she did was laugh. Won't be going back there unless the food improves.

Love the food but sometimes the food is cold. Great food and great Atmosphere.
