The food was ok but I thought it lacked flavor. The dim sum and the chicken fried rice we ordered were quite bland and needed more seasoning. Even the egg tarts didn't taste of much. It all looked good, and although it didn't taste bad, it just didn't pack the 'punch' I expected. The lady who took my order was very friendly and answered my questions politely, and their prices are reasonable. Of all the Chinese restaurants we have been to in Palm Coast, Dim Sum Express is our least favorite for flavor, but they do offer some items that none of the others do.

We tried this new Chinese place for lunch today, and although the dining experience wasn't what we expected, the food was delicious. We have been to dim sum restaurants before in bigger cities including Hong Kong and they can be quite an experience, but here it is nothing special. The decor is very bright, minimlist, and not much more than a take out with a few tables, but the waitress was friendly, and our food came out quite fast. We came with friends and ordered a selection of dim sum for the table, plus I had chicken lo mein. The dim sum was all excellent with the chili oil beef wontons and BBQ pork steam buns being our favorites. The lo mein was very good and my wife couldn't stop eating the cucumber & chili oil salad. Although we'd like to have seen a better environment, the food gets top marks.

This wasn't quite the experience I was expecting. The restaurant itself is nothing special and very sparse. The person taking my order wasn't very sure of the menu or dishes and had to keep going back to ask. We all start somewhere but train your staff a little better before they man the orders alone. I liked the spring rolls and the piggy buns, but the chicken wings, beef soup and dumplings were not very good. The wings were mostly fat, the soup was salty and flavorless, and the dumplings were just like the frozen ones I buy. I'm glad I tried it and I wish them success, but I think the food does need improvement. I recommend everyone try for themselves but it will be a while before I come back.

I'm very happy Plam Coast now has a dim sum restaurant now and a very good one too! We have ordered takeout twice in one week here and tried several of the dim sum and found all to be excellent. The soup dumplings are the best and I love the sesame balls. The staff are very friendly and will help you with descriptions.

This is delicious dim sum and better than the place we usually go to in Jacksonville. The shumai and dumplings are excellent and I loved the steamed pork buns. The dining room is basic and lacks atmosphere, but it's clean and the service is very good.

Plenty of dim sum choices with some wok and rice dishes too. We ate in and had good service but it's a very bright plain area with lots of customers walking by our table. We ordered a variety of dim sum and they mostly arrived in metal steamers. They all tasted excellent and we even tried chicken feet, but they were the ones we wouldn't order again! The shrimp shumai were my favorite. Prices are reasonable and they definitely offer something the other Chinese restaurants in Palm Coast don't. I just wish it had a nicer dining room.

The inside is quite simple like a Chinese takeout with a few tables on the sides, but don't expect a traditional sit down dim sum experience. You order by checking the boxes on the menu and hand it to the staff, and pay at the counter after the meal. We had various dim sum (what is the plural? lol) and they were tasty. I liked the steamed bean pig buns which were super soft, but I didn't know they were sweet like a dessert and I ate first 😳 the dumplings were good and the spring roll was very good, nice and crispy, and I liked how they are smaller and easier to eat. The bok choy had a fishy taste that I didn't like. I'm glad I got to try this new place, and I will order from here again but would get to go next time.

We've been waiting for this place to open so had to try as soon as it did... we got takeout as the kids were restless, but the staff were helpful and our order didn't take long... everything we had was very good and tasty and my only complaint is that they donn't have many veggie choices... I'll also say that that the buns and dumplings are best eaten as fresh as possible... the next day they were like rubber.

I had trouble finding this place at first as it has low street visibility, but it was worth hunting down. The dim sum are basically like Chinese tapas or small plates which allows you to sample a variety. I'm not too sure of the names of everything I ordered, but the shrimp dumplings, spare ribs and a bun filled with pork were memorable and tasty. I had one of my friend's chicken wings which were just OK. Overall I liked it and will add to my go-to restaurants.

New concept for Palm Coast with much more than your usual Chinese takeaway places. The wok fried pork and noodles lo mein style were excellent and we had steamed buns and dumplings that were delicious. So far I'm very impressed and can't wait to try more.

Dim Sum Express in Palm Coast offers a refreshing variety of freshly made dim sum with many dishes crafted by hand. Diners appreciate the assortment of small plates like pork buns, dumplings, shrimp shumai, and pork lo mein, with many noting the flavorful fried rice and unique items like chicken feet and soup dumplings. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, with staff happy to guide those unfamiliar with the menu. While the interior is simple and the atmosphere modest, guests often recommend dining in for the best experience and freshness. Prices are moderate, making it accessible for families and groups eager to share an array of dishes. Some reviewers felt certain flavors could be bolder, and a few menu options like tofu or bok choy varieties were less popular, but overall the food and service receive strong praise.
