Review of Margarita Island by Gary and Mary Axe from Flagler Beach
Went with group of 10 friends on New Year’s Eve and service and food was outstanding. All our meals came out together, servers were very attentive to our needs, food was excellent, and price was good.
Highlight of visit: All meals were enjoyed by all. Great food, great service and good value.

Today me and the family went out to this New Mexican restaurant in town that we heard great words around town. Great experience... our server, Melanin was outstanding. Made us feel at home and was super outgoing and attentive even though she was very busy she did a great job. The food came out fast and was very flavorful and fresh. This is definitely our family's new spot. Try them out guys.
Highlight of visit: Diabla shrimp

I don't usually like to visit restaurants when they first open as I like to wait until they have everything figured out and running smoothly, but we ended up here and I have to say you wouldn't know it was newly open as the staff acted like they had worked there for years and the food was awesome with no hiccups. We thought their flavors were spot on, the meats were tender, and the ingredients were fresh. The remodeling job has much improved the restaurant and we wish them much success.

The food and service were good, and the atmosphere and decor were good. The margaritas are not soo good. They were way too sweet and tasted like they were made with the bar mix you buy anywhere. I expected fresh sours and top shelf liquor and triple sec for the price. The food really was tasty though.

Food was very good with nice size portions. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The remodel when transitioning from the previous restaurant gives the dining room a more spacious appearance.
Highlight of visit: Edwin was very helpful and attentive.

We had the pleasure of trying this new restaurant today and we were very pleased with the quality of the food, the attentive service, and we thought the new decor was a perfect fit for Flagler. It has a sophisticated beach type of feel with a varied menu and a range of creative margaritas. The appetizer list is quite small and you won't find all the lunch or dinner combos like at other Mexican restaurants, but they do offer you the opportunity to create your own. We thought we'd try one of their chef specialties and I had the Mar y Tierra which is basically a surf and turf steak and shrimp with a queso and cilantro sauce. The seasonings were very good and had a lot more flavor than I expected. My partner selected the Chipotle Salmon which had a cilantro aioli glaze and she said it tasted very good but the char grilled salmon was a little dry. The margaritas were OK but too sweet for us and priced high. We did enjoy it here and will definitely come back to try their more traditional favorites.

We were there today and absolutely enjoyed the great atmosphere with the light background music. The food was delicious. Hubby and I are picky about the spices and herbs that restaurants use and the chef 👩🏻🍳🧑🏻🍳 cooking technique is awesome in how much spices and herbs are to be used as well as how the food is properly set on the plate in displaying so much quality and color. Large food portions served. We brought leftovers home. We met one of the owner’s and he was so sincere and we hope that they both are blessed in having Margarita Island become successful. Our waitress was totally 💯. She was very attentive to our orders as well as the table behind us. She would swing by to check on us. The owner as well was asking the customers about the food that they had ordered. If they were pleased. Also, we were asked multiple times if we needed anything else. The staff had a smile. We surely will return. The bar area was packed when we left.

Much better than Dahlia was in this location and leaps and bounds above Cinco de Mayo. The second day opened and we arrived early but it was already starting to get busy. Loved the new decor and vibe, especially the lighting and the bar area is amazing with a kind of tiki theme. Big choice of margaritas and a few cocktails, and I will say I like how they offer margaritas in different sizes and a pitcher, but they are on the pricey side. The food was delicious! The Bacon & Goat Cheese Jalapenos appetizer was unique and awesome, and the Carnitas were superb. When we left the bar was really buzzing so hope that they keep up with the quality and good service.

Went for opening night and was very impressed!! They have done a really nice job transforming the old Dahlias with its dull gray walls into a more tropical Cancun type of feel. Our server acted like it he's been working there a long time and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. It seems to be quite a typical menu but the flavors are much better and different and they have their own twist on the classic dishes. They also did some nice plating. I wish them all the best of success. I know the opening night is very high pressure, and I'm sure they'll do very well here.
Highlight of visit: The Surf & Turf Burrito and Verde Enchiladas were both very tasty. Many other choices and can't wait to try more.
