Much better than Dahlia was in this location and leaps and bounds above Cinco de Mayo. The second day opened and we arrived early but it was already starting to get busy. Loved the new decor and vibe, especially the lighting and the bar area is amazing with a kind of tiki theme. Big choice of margaritas and a few cocktails, and I will say I like how they offer margaritas in different sizes and a pitcher, but they are on the pricey side. The food was delicious! The Bacon & Goat Cheese Jalapenos appetizer was unique and awesome, and the Carnitas were superb. When we left the bar was really buzzing so hope that they keep up with the quality and good service.

Went for opening night and was very impressed!! They have done a really nice job transforming the old Dahlias with its dull gray walls into a more tropical Cancun type of feel. Our server acted like it he's been working there a long time and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. It seems to be quite a typical menu but the flavors are much better and different and they have their own twist on the classic dishes. They also did some nice plating. I wish them all the best of success. I know the opening night is very high pressure, and I'm sure they'll do very well here.
Highlight of visit: The Surf & Turf Burrito and Verde Enchiladas were both very tasty. Many other choices and can't wait to try more.

Margarita Island in Flagler Beach offers a lively atmosphere filled with vibrant colors and strong margaritas that many diners enjoy. The menu features creative dishes beyond standard Tex-Mex, including favorites like the surf and turf burrito, shrimp bowls, molcajete, mahi tacos, and Ixapa salmon. Portions are generous, and service is consistently praised for being friendly and attentive, especially near the bar where the energy is highest. While most find the food flavorful and well-presented, a few note some unevenness in traditional sides like rice and beans, and occasional concerns about pricing. The flan is highlighted as a notably smooth and balanced dessert option. Overall, it serves as a fun spot for cocktails and inventive Mexican fare with an energetic crowd.
