Review of Red Crab - Juicy Seafood by Kimberly R. from Palm Coast
Server was a bit of a dud but apart from him we had a good meal here. The seafood broil had plenty of food and tasted very good. Good spacious interior and cool bar area.

Huge amount of seafood and trimmings with great seasonings. Our server was great and he kept checking on us and kept our drinks filled. Kids loved it and the atmosphere is fun. I will say the bill was quite high but the entire family left very happy.

I liked the food here and our server was great. As much as it was tasty it's very heavy and not something i would eat often, and would prefer fish and seafood more on the lighter side. One big negative was how dirty the parking lot was with trash and old diapers etc all over the place. I went to Harbor Freight recently and was noticed how TX Roadhouse had a guy picking up trash in their parking lot and taking care of the grounds. Makes a world of difference!

These seafood broil places seem to be all the rage right now but I must admit I prefer a more traditional seafood restaurant. Nonetheless we thought we'd give it a try and it wasn't too bad, just not something we'd want too often. The seafood seems to all be served in bags and just tastes of Old Bay seasoning salt. It was cooked well and the potatoes and corn were actually the highlight for me. Our server was very good and the atmosphere was lively and unrecognizable from what it was before.

Nice work on the remodeling of this building and we liked the new and lively atmosphere. Food was delicious and we got excellent customer service. Crab legs superb... very juicy and tasty 🦀😋 Shrimp plump and tender and everything tasted like it was fresh.

Leo our server was awesome, he didn't pester, yet met every single need with a smile. The food was amazing, and the prices were fair. I haven't enjoyed a meal this much in quite some time. The whole family cleared their plates and left full to the gills.
Highlight of visit: Leo and or the food would both be worth returning for, seriously couldn't have had a nicer time!

Well my review. The decor was different. My waitress was very good. My food on the other hand I feel could have used help. My wife ordered the lobster roll and seafood avocado coleslaw and I ordered the weekend special. First the seafood coleslaw and avocado this was not worth what they charge. There was only 3 piece of shrimp in there and the coleslaw tasted like its was store bought (could have gone to Publix bought slow and shrimp and would have been better). Nothing special about it. Her lobster roll was OK I guess she never said anything. My order. To me it seemed the crab legs were just sitting around in a warming pot. The meat never came out as a whole. The shrimp was a little on the tough side. Was not impressive.
The drink order. My wife had a long island ice tea (don't know where the tea was) and then our waitress said the cup must have had a whole in it and asked if she wanted another. Give her tips on that. I ordered a beer and a soda. Let her know one of us had to drive home when placing drink order. She did ask if I wanted another beer which I said no. Apparently she thinks that everyone goes out for a good time. We have 3 kids we have to come home to.
I am asked at the bottom here if I would recommend Red Crab. On the fence. I am going to mark no. But it was our first time here so that could change only time will tell.
Highlight of visit: Christina was a very nice waitress. Funny at all times.

The atmosphere and service are very good and although the food is quite tasty, but there's just something not very appetizing about your food arriving in a pile inside a plastic bag! Shrimp were tough and sausage just like any you get at the store, calamari tasted like they were frozen, but crabs were cooked perfectly. I much prefer what I got for much less money at 386 Crab Shack and preferred their seasoning.

They've really given this place a makeover complete with Johnny Depp pirate statue and lots of fun decor items to keep the kids occupied. Staff were friendly and our server was awesome. The food was mixed with some being very god and some not so much. The mussels and oysters being the not so good... tough and no flavor. The crab, shrimp and sausage were all tasty and the sides, and especially the slaw, were all delicious. Drinks seemed a little weak and our final bill was a bit of a shocker! But I understand market prices are steep right now. I'd go again knowing what not to order next time.

Not quite what I expected but food was quite good although we left with quite large bill! Our server was awesome and we liked the atmosphere. Little on the greasy side so would maybe order more steamed next time.

Different to other seafood restaurants we've been to and although most of the food was good, there was a couple of misses. The oysters were the biggest miss which were dry with no flavor at all, but he crabs were cooked perfectly. Food came out very hot but you taste the seasonings more than the seafood. Portions could be better for the cost too. Staff very nice and the restaurant's makeover is excellent form what it was before.

Apart from being expensive we couldn't fault the food or the service. Atmosphere was lively too. We made up our own combo and everything on it was perfect. Grandson had a Po Boy and he ate every crumb. Server was very helpful and efficient.

Very pricey and poor quality of seafood. Served appetizers and have us use paper plates . Long wait for certain side orders. Finished our food and then brought us French fries (too). Shrimp Salad / 5 shrimp on a scant bed of arugula. No description of salad cost was 9.99.

We enjoyed it here but wasn't as good as we expected to be. Firstly the menu was confusing but with help of server we figured it out. Food looked amazing when it arrived but didn't taste as good as it looked. It lacked flavor and was also on the greasy side especially the fried tilapia and onion rings. We did like how they transformed the place though and our server was excellent.

I had the haddock and shrimp Po-Boy. It was very good. There was a bit too much bread for me. I would have it again! My companion had blue crab, mussels, and clams. Was ok except that the two blue crabs were very, very small.

I was impressed with their crew who worked like they had been open for years and not days!!! And Even though it was crazy busy too!! Menu is a bit overwhelming but with the help of server Elvis we managed to get a good broil together which was really awesome! First time having one and was very impressed. Hope they keep up this high level of service and quality of food.

My wife and I went for dinner. Not understanding the broil menu we decided on seafood baskets. Fish and shrimp... 3 pieces of fish and 4 shrimp for $45. Not worth the cost.

They're off to a pretty good start! You can tell the crew are new but they did a decent job considering how busy. The menu is a little overwhelming with a lot of create your own options but you basically choose your seafood then add the flavoring or sauce and finally how spicy you want it. Everyday has a special which is nice. The flavors were very good and to be honest i actually liked the veggies better than the seafood! Only let down was the crab which had no taste. Overall it was very god and in time will I'm sure it will be one of Palm Coast's top restaurants.
