In town for a long weekend and was recommended we stop in at the Funky Pelican. Service is very attentive and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. It's right on (or above) the beach and closest restaurant/bar we could find to the ocean. We all liked our food and I was very pleased with my Chimichurri Surf & Turf. Drinks were tasty and they have some funky cocktail creations that were fun to sample. We had a great few hours here and glad we stopped in.

Great location and views and vibes that is best appreciated on a warm sunny day... had some great meals here but a couple I wouldn't get again like the jambalaya which was watery and salty. The shrimp with grits are very good and the crab cake sandwich is excellent. Staff are great and portion/price on par.

The Funky Pelican is our favorite spot for brunch and I always get the Crab Cake Benny and my wife likes the Shrimp & Grits. Staff are always great and of course the views are amazing, even on a bad weather day the waves never get boring.

We sat by the window as it was raining and we still had good views of the waves... even with the rough sea they were still out surfing and fun to watch. Our server was terrific and the food was delicious... the Crab Cake Benny is highly recommended and you should really try their version of a Bloody Mary which is an appetizer unto itself. A great restaurant when in Flagler Beach for any meal.

Highlight of visit: I loved the Crab Cake Benny... it's a wonderful breakfast dish.

Love it here for breakfast and first time coming for lunch and was a little disappointed. Service was not as good as the mornings, and the food seemed like it had been put together in haste. It did taste good but just didn't look great. Drinks from the bar were slow coming, and not because of the bar staff but for the waitress not picking them up after they were made, so ice melted and beers got warm! Views are still great but will stick to breakfast from now on.

They guy serving was awesome and we liked being on the back deck, but my food was a bit of a let down. Fish and Chips were greasy and just didn't have any flavor but for the oil and fish was way overfried. My partner had a salmon dish with pineapple BBQ and salsa that was much better and looked great. We liked the cocktails especially the one with guava.

I could have drank their Mai Tai's all night! The Hawaiian Luau Wings are great and the Crab Cake Sandwich was tasty. Service was efficient and friendly but the jerk next to me blowing vape in my face as I ate was not cool.

Not the best weather but we enjoyed it regardless. Beachy vibes and cool staff. Surprisingly good fish and chips. Cocktails are good but on the sweet side.

Highlight of visit: The fish and chips were a big portion and tasted great. Batter was very good and not greasy.

I miss seeing everyone at the pier as we eat but there's still the beach people to watch. Service is top notch here and this is a great spot for breakfast. They do a great benedict with crab cakes. Coffee could be stronger but it's ok. One of our favorite beach spots and worth the drive down from Palm Coast.

Just ate breakfast here this morning... sat out on the rear deck and the weather was calm, warm, and sunny... service from start to finish was fantastic... breakfast was tasty but a little on the heavy side... eggs fried in oil used for something else that made them dark brown which was not appealing... I like white and yellow eggs 🍳 In fact everything on the plate was the same color. Guy sitting at the bar kept smoking which kept blowing our way. They should really make it a non smoking restaurant... the setting is too beautiful to have it ruined by smokers.

We visited for lunch one day and really enjoyed it. Sat outside watching the surfers and had a great meal and drinks. So, we decided to stop for breakfast and were disappointed. The Rueban Omelet was a letdown... corned beef was awful and like dog food, and the eggs like rubber. Coffee not good. Server wasn't as good either and very forgetful. It's a shame that the morning staff couldn't perform as well as the lunch shift.

We passed this restaurant several times but thought it was closed initially, so we dropped in for breakfast and thought it was a good option. Inside is pleasant enough but the views are what makes it. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to sit outside as that looked like a great dining spot. Our server appeared to have not fully awakened yet and was very direct. I had biscuits and gravy, which is one of my favorite breakfasts. It was OK but nothing outstanding and neither the biscuits or the gravy appeared to be homemade. My wife chose an omelet that was filled with mushrooms, spinach, peppers, and tomatoes, then topped with a pesto sauce which she thought was very tasty. The homefries were on the soggy side and salty. I believe the setting is what makes this restaurant and had they made the effort to make the gravy and biscuits from scratch and the server shown more enthusiasm, our experience would have been greatly improved.

Ordered my usual Shrimp n Grits which is a great dish with nicely blackened shrimp and finished with a great cajun sauce. Service was not as good as normal as our server seemed like her head was in another town, and I'm sure the portion was a lot smaller. Still has a good atmosphere even with all the storm damage around.

I feel sorry for this restaurant as it's right in the middle of a construction zone right now, and the pier is now closed and about to be demolished, but they make the best of the situation here and it's almost business as usual there. We sat inside for the first time and although it's not as good as being out on the deck, it is still nice in there and we had good views. Our server was fantastic and our food was delicious. I had their breakfast tacos which were something different and went down well, and my wife liked her pest omelet. Only complaint I had was that the coffee didn't taste too great, but everything else is two thumbs up from me.

We sat outside and had excellent service from our waitress. Couldn't get one of the drinks I wanted on the menu but they offered the Orange Creamsicle instead and it was like a memory of what I had when I was a kid only now with alcohol... couldn't drink more than one though as it was sweet. Their Funky Flatbread starter was really good and their Feta and Strawberry Salad is unique and very delicious. The pier is closed from hurricane damage but the views are still open and are amazing.

Fun place to hang out and get funked up!! The food is about average but the drinks are excellent and they have the best spot in Flagler for views... so close to the ocean you can taste the salt air with your cocktail. Service is better on some days than others but overall a fun experience.

The food and drinks never disappoint and you have to love the views... plenty to see and fun to people watch. The bacon shrimp with pineapple bbq sauce is a great appetizer and I like their Caribbean combo with mahi mahi, and they know how to make an excellent margarita. Try to get on the back patio for the best experience.

Can't beat the views anywhere else in Flagler and our favorite spot for Sunday breakfast. Their Crabcake Benedict is awesome and my wife loves the Pesto Omelet. And if you haven't already tried one, get an Orange Creamsicle cocktail, hard to drink just one!
