I actually quite liked it here but it's not exactly what I call a Tex-Mex restaurant, just more of a typical bar menu with burgers, wings, tacos, etc.... read more!
Review of Ocean City Beach Grill by Peter from Ormond Beach
Met a friend here and was very impressed. Casual and nicely done place. They have a full bar which I didn't expect and drinks were very good. Ordered a burger and it was awesome! Server friendly and helpful. I'm coming back for sure.

I actually quite liked it here but it's not exactly what I call a Tex-Mex restaurant, just more of a typical bar menu with burgers, wings, tacos, etc. The food was reasonable but it seems more like something a home cook would prepare and not a professional chef. Service was friendly albeit slow it's a big plus thatthey have cocktails which was our main draw to the place. Not a bad experience but it does seem like a missed opportunity with it's good location and visibility to be something more special.

This place is consistently great!! So happy we got a restaurant on this side of the bridge that’s not super expensive, but still awesome quality. Love it!
Highlight of visit: The chicken sandwich is great. With a side of chipotle sauce, I was a happy camper

We were a group of thirteen people. Everyone liked their food and our orders ran from salad to salmon. Some chose Mexican but others were happy to see non-Mexican choices. There was no problem getting separate bills. Personally I really liked the house margarita.

Their best asset is their staff: very friendly and ready to help and suggest specials. Their French fries were very crisp and we'll probably stop by sometime when we have a yen for them. The wings were ok, and I'm glad we got them for an app because our main meals were a bit disappointing. The hamburger was ok, and the carnitas burrito - well, carnitas were found in it when you really look through all the rice and refried beans. The wife had a happy hour margarita but it had very little tequila taste to it so she ordered a "house" margarita - it tasted much better but cost $8 - If you have a yen for Mexican, you might want to got to a Mexican restaurant in the future. I know we will.

The people are nice but this is one of those restaurants that doesn't quite know what it wants to be. It's kind of half burger joint and half taco shop, but the the latter is far from anything south of the border. Staff were friendly but appeared out of their depth, and as for my tacos? Well, let's say that they lacked any real flavor and the carnitas just weren't seasoned much at all. The plus, is that they have a full bar! I give a generous 3- stars but try for yourselves.

Our waitress was called Courtlyn. She was the best waitress we've ever had. She was amazing - so friendly, crouched down to our level which made us feel more relate-able, she went into detail about the specials, suggested what was nice on the menu, and helped us pick the best options on the menu. I know a lot of waiters/waitresses do this, but she seemed so genuine, like she actually wanted to help! She suggested an item that was the same price as what we originally chose - so it wasn't about her getting more money for the company. Always smiling and courteous. For a meal that would have been rated about a 3.5, I am giving you a 5, purely because of her excellent service. Give her a bonus or a promotion! We will be back! And hopefully she will be there! I had a really tough day that day and it’s crazy how one server turned it around for me and my husband! Thank you so much again!
Highlight of visit: Chicken and shrimp tacos and wings

Our family was in Flagler Beach on 9/7/19 and decided to try this place. It was opening day and while things were busy we where greeted right away and seated very quickly. We ordered Wings, a burger, fish tacos, beef tacos and drinks. The food was good. Flavors were well balanced and not over the top. The mixed drinks paired perfectly with our food. Highly recommend the Ocean Potion cocktail. Waaaaaayyyy good. We will be back.

My husband and I were hanging out in Flagler when we decided to try this establishment. I had the chicken and shrimp tacos. They were excellent! Just the right amount of spice; not too spicy and not too bland. My husband ordered the hot wings. He was also pleased. The portions of food were also generous. While you could tell they were experiencing some opening day glitches the staff was courteous and accommodating. I will definitely go back.

We went to Ocean City Beach Grill and Cantina on their opening day. For a brand new restaurant, we found the food, drinks ,and service to be quite good for an opening day. Knowing it was opening day, we were not looking for perfection, but were quite impressed. The waitress was so pleasant and helpful, she recommended the Bahama wing sauce, which was outstanding! We can only imagine how good this restaurant will be with the usual kinks worked out. Looking forward to being able to make the trip back to try more food!
Highlight of visit: All the food good, Bahama wings were amazing! Our waitress Sabra was so very friendly and helpful!

My husband and I were headed to the Golden Lion but noticed this restaurant was open so,we thought we would give it a try.
We were greeted very nicely told to take a seat anywhere. Our waitress took our drink order quickly and our order as well. The restaurant was not crowded. We did not see our waitress again. 35 minutes later our food arrives. We were on the verge of walking out. I had the chicken enchiladas and the were served lukewarm. I am not a complainer so I didn’t say anything. Well the enchiladas were horrible. I think they were previously frozen. My husband got a hamburger and could not wait to get home to brush his teeth to get the taste out of his mouth. I am sorry but you would think that when a restaurant first opens they would strive to do better. Will not be returning.

Upon arriving seemed semi busy, was excited try the place out. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years so was pretty surprised that even sitting at the bar the service was horrible. I had 1 beer and husband had 2 cocktails, asked for a menu, was told if we are on a wait you can’t order for at least 15 minutes, wasn’t in that big of a hurry. Was told by bartender that she had to go get more beer. That was literally the last time we seen her☹️. Now we sat there for an additional half hour needing cocktails and please can I order food. Asked a waitress if we could just cash out and she went to go get the bartender, who just told her to cash us out. It’s been an hour since we sat down, I cashed out with the server, whom was not our bartender. Don’t waste your time if you want to eat or drink. I have never never left no tip, first time for everything☹️

My girlfriend and I went there 09/09/2019 realizing that they are a new business to our community and we try to be supportive to our home folks, we abound with some of the greatest food eatery's and beach bars anywhere. As we entered it was not busy by no means. We were greeted after standing at the host station for over 10 minutes, the hostess seated us. We sat there at our table, again for over 10 minutes before a young male server came and took our drink order, draft beer and a house margarita.
We waited forever for our drinks and finally the bartender came out to tell us they were out of well brand tequila and she was going to substitute the tequila for no additional cost. We waited for another length of time before we got our drinks, draft beer of course was okay the margarita was served in a wine glass packed solid with ice cubes (an old trick to serve less drink).
Our server showed up and took our order she was very attentive and had a great personality. While waiting on our food to arrive we of course finished our drinks and of course we didn't have any water and no one bothered to check to see if we needed another round of drinks. Our server stopped by to tell us our food would be coming out soon, and asked if we wanted another round of drinks and of course we did. She left to place our drink order and check on our food. Our server came back with 2 glasses of water. Our food finally came and it's a good thing we had some water as our mixed drinks had not arrived yet. The food arrived with a great presentation. I ordered the Ranchero Beef Tacos, and my girlfriend ordered the Burrito. About half way through our meal our mixed drinks showed up. The food was good and had some flavor without over spicing it. We finished our meal . Our check was presented and i usually just pay, I looked it over and I discovered they had up charged me for the beef for my tacos, then I noticed they had added an up charge for shots of Tequila. which we did not receive any shots. I question our server and she advised there is not an up charge for beef and she corrected that. She advised she would talk to the bartender, well this is a first I was told that the base price for a margarita did not include the tequila so they have to add an up charge separate. So their house margarita is $10,00 so they add a up charge to that making it $12.00. I simply asked why not just make it $12.00 in the computer . Of course she was very nice and said they had some issues in the computer. These folks have along way to go, I do not wish them any bad luck. They have to get it together to come up to the standards of Flagler Beach restaurants and bars.

First opinions good. Very welcoming and friendly people. Food is a mix of grilled items and Tex-Mex. Wings were very good and son loved his burger. Sauces tasty. Full bar too! I'm sure once they find their footing as restaurateurs and get the opening bugs out the way, this will be a very good restaurant. But a welcome addition to Flagler Beach.
