Review of The Net by George by Dana from Palm Coast
We're new to the area and everyone is telling us that The Net is where the locals go for the best seafood, so we just got to try it and weren't disappointed. Firstly, it doesn't have any frills and the ambiance was dull, and we weren't honestly thrilled with the welcome we received, but our server was warmer who made us feel more at ease. Our meals took a while to arrive but worth the wait. Everything appeared very fresh and tasted wonderful. My husband was very happy that he found belly clams, and he was impressed with the platter he had. I like salmon and my piece here was grilled perfectly and not at all dry. All the sides were very good too, and also the clam chowder is divine. We see how The Net is a locals fave and if they keep this up, it will be ours too.

The locals know that The Net is where you get the best seafood. George has been around Flagler Beach for years and does a great job. You come here for great tasting, fresh, and well prepared seafood and not for the beach bar / restaurant vibes. I've never had bad service and will always address any issues.

The Net doesn't have the best atmosphere or views as other fish restaurants in Flagler Beach but they definitely have the best food. It's also the only place that has belly clams which are hard to find. The Italian Red Snapper was a delicious dish.

Amazing fish and seafood... the Net obviously has a chef that knows how to cook seafood. Friendly service and laid back atmosphere. I thought the prices fair for the quality of the seafood.

Our fish was delicious and everything tasted fresh. Very hearty portions. Excellent clam chowder. Our waitress was very pleasant. Not the best building and is almost windowless, but the food and service shine.

We met some friends here for dinner and first I thought we had the wrong place as it looked like a dive from the outside! The greeter was a little short with us and acted put out we were coming in but our server was nicer. We felt like the place needed a clean and didn’t have the best atmosphere for a beachfront fish restaurant. The food did redeem the place though and it tasted far better than we expected and very fresh. The oysters were good and their chowder was excellent. We ended up having a nice time here and wouldn’t not visit again.

My fish was quite good but nothing special... food slow coming out. The service was OK but not too impressed with the atmosphere... You don't get the vibrant beach scene... more old people-ish.

I got the fried haddock and I think it was frozen, taken out of a box and fried. It was beyond dry and my potatoes were cold. My 3 companions were happy with their food but I cannot recommend the fried haddock. I would possibly try it again but would never get the haddock, which is one of my favorite fish meals. I always give restaurants a second chance.

The seafood is fresh and tastes amazing. Best belly clams in Flagler Beach if not Florida. George really knows how to cook fish just right. The building is kind of dingy though and the atmosphere dull, but the food makes up for it.

We have found the best seafood in Flagler Beach here at the Net. It's not very high on ambiance but definitely high on quality and taste. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was expertly cooked with nice and light batter on the calamari to perfectly broiled haddock. They have a good selection of sides with better options like roasted red potatoes that are much nicer than fries or boring baked potato. The customer service was the best and we felt very comfortable. Well worth the drive down from Palm Coast and we can't wait to return.

I'd like to see a more broader selection of seafood with some nice sauces and a variety of seasonings as I'm getting very bored with the same old seafood dishes you get everywhere else. But what they do offer is done well just uninspiring. Service here was very good. The atmosphere was nothing special.

The service was top notch and the restaurant is quite nice but could do with warming up a bit. They were out of some of the items but the Calamari appetizer had nice light breading and tasted good. The Mussels Marinara entree had a good amount of mussels and the marinara sauce was tasty. My friend is not into seafood so had a Chicken Florentine that looked good and he ate it all. Overall a nice spot for some good seafood and I'd definitely return.
Highlight of visit: The Mussels Marinara was very tasty and everything cooked just right.

A local favorite since 1990s - I have loads of customers that come to the resort and are looking for dinner choices. I recommend The Net by George because of the variety of entrees, appetizers and daily specials. They all rave about their friendly service and of course, the owner, George who greets and meets each one with open arms. You will never leave hungry, but you will leave feeling like family.
Highlight of visit: GREAT specials daily and don’t forget to try the filefish.

The Net by George is one of our favorite restaurants in Flagler Beach. He has a nice variety of fish ( file, red snapper, salmon, flounder just to name a few) with delicious sauces. Not only the best fresh fish but also steak, chicken and pasta dishes. Have to mention the fish dip is another one of our favorites. The service is great and will attend to your every need and Tracy the hostess is always friendly and will make you feel right at home! Specials during the week include fried shrimp, fried fish and beef liver. They now added unlimited mimosas on Saturdays and Sundays! You won't be disappointed. A must restaurant in Flagler Beach!

A gem of a seafood restaurant! I got the belly clams. Such a large portion and light breading. The staff are very friendly and fast service. Will definitely be back!
Highlight of visit: I will return definitely. Food is great and staff are great.

Took my family here for Father’s Day. Food was average. Two tables requested the manager which took 15 minutes to hear their issues, one table left after an hour and no food. Other told the manager food was unacceptable and left. Very disappointing

I love these old school beachfront places! The wreak of Florida culinary history and they take me back to my younger days with family. The food here is traditional fair and done very well. Their fish fry is awesome, with generously sized filets cooked with nice crispy batter, and my son loves their shrimp scampi. Service is always top notch for us and everything is reasonably priced, especially considering the cost of seafood these days.

Being a pescatarian, I am eager to try anywhere with a decent seafood menu, and The Net was highly recommended by neighbors but sad to say it wasn't the best. First, the building is very drab and uninviting, and the greeter did not have very good greeting skills, but our server was at least much better. The menu is an 80s time warp with nothing modern or remotely interesting featured. The Clam Chowder was a good start, but my Grilled Salmon had little flavor and the Oysters were dry with way too much breading. My wife had Coconut Shrimp that were no better than the frozen variety from Publix, and the Thai Sweet Sauce was just straight from a bottle. There are no cocktails and just a very mainstream wine and beer selection. Overall, a very boring and uninspiring place I see no reason to return to.

Not our most favorite meal in Flagler Beach. The menu is very typical with no original dishes and all items you can get anywhere up the coast. Service could have been more attentive and the atmosphere was dull. It did the job.

Enjoyed The Net by George for lunch today and I have to say this place lives up to its expectations! The first thing that stands out is how fresh the fish is, they say it's locally caught and you can definitely tell! I had the cracker crumb file fish and it was flaky and delicious! My husband had the Belly clams which were out of this world! The owners were both there and made sure we liked our food and enjoyed our time! Also the view is incredible! 10/10 would recommend!
Highlight of visit: Sweet tea, crab dip, file fish, belly clams
