I must say that the first time my husband Nelson took me and my mother to the Salt and Pepper Restaurant we really enjoy the food.
You must try the food!! You can't go wrong, trust me on this who enjoy our LATIN FOOD, pernil, rice/beans, tostones and delicious chicken soup and etc, the next time I'll try a different dish and give me review in 6 months.

Absolutely love this place! For the comment above, I did not feel the place mis-represented themselves at all, they are not a Cuban restaurant nor do they portray themselves as one. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was just as good as the food and I can not wait to visit again soon! Anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere and the goodness of a home cooked meal should stop by Salt and Pepper!!

Very delicious pork/pernil - Puerto Rican type flavors to me - on wonderful hot crisp bread. Looking forward to trying the chicken next time. And the empanadas. Can't wait.

We visited this place in Nov. 2014. Although they portray Spanish food, they misrepresent pork since when you have pulled pork and pork chunks or parts is different thing. A Cuban sandwich is NOT made with pulled pork but slices of fresh pork, ham, cheese, mustard and Russian dressing like sauce. They have sweet fried plantains which were NOT like the Cubans make them. In general, the food was without salt and totally tasteless. Spanish dishes are known for their spices and total taste and this food was not. I did offer some constructive criticism which I feel was not well-taken. I have no ulterior motive other than the fact that I wish we could get a TRUE Spanish restaurant in this area, primarily Cuban since in Florida these are well-known. No, I am not Cuban.

New Carib/Latino spot near the beach, across from the park. Friendly, professional service with a relaxed atmosphere. Trying the rotisserie chicken lunch, very tasty and a good value. Definitely going to be a return customer.
