To be fair, we said that we might try it again after the owner took over in the kitchen. So we did. The salsa has gotten better, but everything else was still a bust. The snapper was still bland and not spicy, the chimchanga's can no longer be ordered fuego style, they instead put queso on top. Not a good mix for a chimi. We had ordered fish and chips and they said they were out of tartar sauce, and had been for some time. How do you have fish and chips and not have tartar sauce on hand? The fish was really dry. The server was nice, but the food quality is not very good anymore. It makes us really sad, but our favorite place that we have come to for so long, is no longer the place for us. We will unfortunately not be back, but will instead find a local place to call home.

We have been coming to Fuego regularly for quite some time and always loved the food and atmosphere. Usually the service is fair, but the atmosphere and food made up for it. We recently went again and it has changed. The Fuego Snapper was bland and not spicy at all. The Fuego sauce was more like melted Velveeta on the other dishes. The salsa is no longer spicy and lacked flavor. The drinks were more watered down than usual. We asked our server about the change and were informed that the previous cook walked out and the owner is preparing everything himself. While we appreciate having a hands on approach to any business, this is one time that it may not be what is best.
We were disappointed with the food and don't want to lose our favorite place. Please go back to the previous recipes. They were much better. We will try one more time. Hopefully it will be worth it and we won't have to look for a new place to take our family and friends.

Took out-of-town guest for lunch on Saturday, and went early to get a table on the deck overlooking the ocean. Seats were warped. Service was slow, and we had to ask other servers to find our waitress. The Kush nachos were dry and only had 4 slices of jalapenos. It took another 15 minutes to get more of them. The mahi mahi fish tacos were very good. The other meal was O.K. It took 10 minutes for our busboy to locate our server so that we could order another round of drinks. When it was time to pay the check, we had to ask another server to find our check. With good service and that wonderful view, we could overlook average food. Unfortunately we did not have very good service. We'll wait another 6 months and try again.

Stopped in at late afternoon, downstairs bar. Chilly, but so worth the food and margaritas. Ronnie was the best. Chip and salsa was there immediately. Nachos, steak. entree unbelievable. Took home half, since it was so huge. Such a great spot.Go and enjoy.

My husband and I stopped over the weekend and it was wonderful. The food was some of the best I have had. I had the shrimp and grits and it was wonderful. The staff was great and the food was terrific. The manager came by and chatted with us for a while, he was so interested in our opinions and our impressions of the food. It was nice to have a manager that actually cared about his restaurant.

Was there on Sunday Oct 5th and had a wonder seat , but took over 5 minutes to get the gal that seated us to come back to get our drink order. When she did return I ordered a beer and my wife asked if she had any specialty drinks and she brought over a drink menu and said will be back to take her order. Waited 10 min for her return and didn't bring my beer and my wife order a mojito. Another 10 min goes by and she returned with my beer and a mojito with all black mint. The gal said it turned black when muddled, Wife sent it back and got a Cadillac Martguerita. 10 min later she brought her drink back. Never got chips and Salsa.
By this time I was ready for another beer and had to go to bar to get it. 10 more minutes pass to get our order placed for food which was pricey. Another 1/2 hour passes for food to arrive. Finished and had to go to the bar to get our bill and pay it. Took them over 5 minutes and there was a $5.00 error in addition and had to pay more after she put the order in the computer. Felt like $13.00 was to much for a Martguerita, but just glad to finally leave after an 1.5 hour. Never been that upset over a meal.

Service was adequate but the food was way overpriced for what we got. Burger was over cooked and the buns were stale. Greasy, lukewarm fries didn't help. Alcoholic beverage was sub par - didn't even drink half of it. Starting to wonder if the view was even worth what we paid for dinner. Next time we are in town, we will go to the old Manny's. Even though we voiced our unhappiness with the quality of the food, no attempt was made to take anything off our bill.

The family wanted to go out for dinner and we always wanted to stop and try the food. The food was excellent, the service was good and the atmosphere sitting on the upper deck was great.

We ate at this restaurant within the past week. Waitress was very efficient in filling our every request. Atmosphere is nice but I'll bet it is even nicer after they light the fire pit! Food and margaritas were awesome! If you like margaritas, this is the place to go! It is right on Flagler Beach and the view is amazing. We sat at the outside tables and really enjoyed the wings and salad.

We were walking along Flagler Beach last night and heard some music. We decided to go over to the restaurant and had some cocktails. The band was great, and they played around the Fire Pit. We have eaten there before, and have enjoyed the food. Especially the chicken burrito's and fajita's.
It's really a nice place to go to and enjoy the view of the ocean and have some cocktails.

We've driven by this restaurant many times but never stopped in because of the past problems with service and food; however, six of us decided to try it for ourselves and were pleasantly surprised. We arrived around 5:30 on Friday evening thinking finding a table on the upstairs deck wouldn't be a problem. Forgot that it was Memorial Day weekend so we were wrong but we sat inside next to the window which was just fine. The music outside was somewhat loud but luckily there was a glass window that made it better. Our waiter, Chris was attentive and helpful, the atmosphere with the view of the beach and surroundings are festive and the food was wonderful. On Chris' recommendation, we decided to share a "Chicken Kush" appetizer which not only was great but enough to fee 6 of us. My wife and I decided to share a steak Fajita dinner and are glad we did because we had trouble finishing it. Martgueritas (both frozen and on the rocks) were terrific. Our friends enjoyed their selection of burritos and Chimichangas (??) too. No room for dessert but we'll definitely return.

We have eaten here a couple of times in the last six months and were happy with the service and the food. We have recommended it many times and haven't had any bad reviews from our friends. Going there again next week with some friends for dinner and we can't wait. We LOVE the fire pit.

Incredible transformation of menu items and flavor. We came when it first opened and it was OK. But now its great, I reserved judgment from writing a review on the restaurant until it had some consistency. Well it does now. absolutely amazing food best Mexican I have had since moving to Florida. The margaritas have always been hands down the best I have ever had. I am so glad they are here.

I found this restaurant scenic and the menu not too extensive but what we had was tasty. The service was prompt and accommodating to my eating needs. The view on the top was lovely. You can easily request vegetarian meals here no problem. The salsa and guacamole were wonderful sides tasty and fresh!

Very disappointed. Beautiful location but that's where it ended. Salsa tastes like it is out of a jar. Appetizer and dinner was cool, not served hot at all. Fajitas lacked flavor. Beans and rice were not even very tasty. Served with romaine lettuce out of a bag and plain diced tomatoes, no pico de gallo. Tiny adult portions, kids portions were decent. Terribly overpriced. $85 for 2 fajitas, chimi, and a kid's dinner, 2 beers, 1 soda. $5.50 for a draft beer! Will stick with Golden Lion.

We stopped because we thought it was a quaint place with a really nice view. The food was okay, we had appetizers and beers, however, the service was terrible. We sat at the bar (usually you get more attentive service at the bar). The bartender told us we had to hand over a credit card for her to hold onto, even though we told her we were going to order a meal. I don't think any table diners had to do that. We told her we wanted to pay by cash and when she brought us our check, she had already run the credit card. Service was very slow for a mostly empty bar. The bartender forgot to bring things, we had to ask twice for some, had to wait for plates, and the worst part... the beer is NOT cold. We have checked this place off our list and will not recommend it to friends.

Looks like a beautiful place, we love trying new places, except, the food was not so good. Menu is very, very limited, and the food is way overcooked. We tried the steak tacos (no hard shell or ground beef), and shrimp fajitas. The rice and vegetables on our plates were way overcooked and we could not eat them. The chips and salsas did not taste freshly made, tasted like a bag and jar stuff. It was our first and last time. And it was very pricey for the lunch size portions, 2 dinners and ice tea $33.00.

Just ate at Fuego today for the first time. We were happy to see a Mexican place right down the street from where we live. The excitement didn't last long... I had steak fajitas they were ok, beef a little dry, but they did hold the peppers for me as requested. No avocado with the "fixins" for the fajitas though. The margarita was good, but I was never asked if I would like another. My husband wasn't able to get his favorite, a burrito (only on the kids menu), so he had a chimi....he wasn't impressed with the flavor. The very worst part though were the Chips...they were so over-salted we were unable to eat them (my husband gave it a good try). This was the first time we've ever been to a Mexican place and didn't ask for more chips. In fact, I asked for unsalted chips and the waitress said she would try, but the kitchen staff would probably "fuss" at her. When she gave us the check I asked about the chips and she said she forgot. I believe it was the Manager that came by a couple of times and quickly asked if everything was OK. He seemed to be working all areas and cared. Not real impressed with the others we saw there. TOO casual....dressed sloppy and eating and working the bar. Very unappealing to watch the bartender eat. They've got a great atmosphere and location... take it a step further and really work on that customer service!! Out of 11 tables inside only 3 were filled.
