Review of Palm Harbor Grill by Matt from Palm Coast
The Chicken and Shrimp in Garlic Sauce was delicious and the Octopus Rice was very traditional and tasty. This is some of the best Portuguese I've had. The servers are friendly but attention needs some work. The wine was nice and the atmosphere could do with some warming up. Overall though a very tasty meal and loved the traditional flavors, I haven't experienced for a long time.
Highlight of visit: Chicken & Shrimp in Garlic Sauce and the Passion Fruit Mousse was an excellent finish.

Server was very sweet but the service was very slow. Food tasted quite good but i was expecting more of charcoal BBQ flavor... this is just grilled and needed to be more seasoned. However it was very tender and all the side items were delicious. Atmosphere was nice and had that neighborhood feel about it.

Went as a guest of a Portuguese friend who was very proud to introduce me to the food here, and although I enjoyed it, I thought it wasn't very flavorful and tasted mostly of just plain grilled meat... I even had to add salt and pepper to get some taste. Service was not the greatest either with the server barely paying us any attention even though it was not too busy. My friend seemed impressed and I was happy to try it here and I did really like their beer, but doubt I'd go back again.

Great food here. Atmosphere nice with lots of Portuguese people around and pictures of their home country on the walls. Their menu is very meat and seafood centric so not a very vegetarian friendly place. They have a full bar which is a plus with impressive Portuguese wines and beers. Can't remember what it was called but i had a dish with pork, clams and potatoes which was very tasty and well cooked. Wife had a steak and egg type dish and she thought that was very good too. Service was slow but friendly. We'll go back for sure.

Service was friendly but food very slow coming out. Bar area cool and quite a nice atmosphere. All the food was tasty but steak dry and on the tough side. Shrimp with garlic sauce dish was superb. Also very good soup. Many more dishes to try so will be back.

So, I really enjoyed the food here and found the pork chops to be outstanding but the service was not friendly and almost hostile. I felt like I had pissed her off somehow and although she was efficient I seemed to be the only one in the restaurant that was getting the cold treatment. Maybe I reminded her of someone but it was uncomfortable and I doubt I'd return because of it, but maybe I'd order takeout as I do like the food.

This establishment is not following the guidelines for indoor dining. They are allowing seating at full capacity. In addition they charge extra if you want to pay with a credit card. My family has been dining at this restaurant from the day it opened. Never again.

Completely meat/fish heavy menu so don't bring anyone that isn't a big carnivore like we did because from apart from a small side salad they are not considered here! My Chicken Cubes with Potatoes was OK but is not what I call BBQ. The seasoning on the meat was quite nice but was very subtle like it needed to marinate longer. My wife had a cod entree which she liked a lot but next time will only order a half portion and the whole was too much. It was busy on our visit and the service was slow and not the friendliest. But overall we recommend you at least try it once, just don't go expecting typical American style BBQ.

Went last night and loved the food but service was bad and atmosphere dull. About the service, it seemed like other were getting the attention and she just couldn't be bothered with us. Maybe we're not regulars? Not very cozy inside and need some work making it inviting. The food however, was delicious. When the meals arrived the meat looked very dry, but it was not at all. Inside it was very moist and tender and had great flavor. Rice was was cooked perfectly and beans seasoned well. My friend loved her salted cod (Bacalau?). I'll visit again for the food and hope the service was just an off night.
