Six of us had lunch yesterday at Hurricane Patty's for the first time under this new owner. What a pleasant surprise. The new owners have cleaned up the outdoor dining areas and made it much nicer than prior owners and our server (Melissa) was very attentive, perky and wanted to please her customers. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside in the covered area and enjoyed overlooking the Intracoastal with the wonderful breeze and the boats passing by.
We ordered 3 different kinds of burgers, chicken wings, salads and a cordon bleu sandwich. The friend who ordered the cordon bleu sandwich thought it was too big to hold.;... but he somehow managed to get it all down. All 6 of us thought the restaurant food, service and atmosphere was great and we will definitely return...in fact we're going back this Friday with four other friends. This time we'll go for supper to see how their dinner service and menu is.

Atmosphere is very good. Food was okay. Fries were limp and soggy. Server was not good at all. She ended up sitting with my husband (uninvited) at our picnic table when she brought the bill and telling him her life story. It is a great place to have fun but it took 25 minutes to get our simple orders to us on a mid afternoon where there were about a dozen customers.

Very disappointed at the food. My chicken parm was greasy and tasteless. My wife's crab cakes were all filling. Menu is all full meals with no sandwiches, or burgers, etc.
On the plus side, very nice setting but we will only go back fro drinks.

Nice place with a lot of potential given it's location. However the service is terrible, the staff seems to be confused and not concerned about it, have to wonder where the manager is. Did not taste too much of the food but the crab cakes left something to be desired.
I will try it again in a month or so to see if they get their act together.

Went to Pattys on Sunday 3/6/11. The place was packed, the service was great!! I had steamed oysters, and my husband had the chicken parm sandwich. Both were delicious. The entertainment was really good as well. This place is a total package. We will definitely go back.

I have been to HP many times. I have noticed that the service is a little slow on the weekends. It probably has something to do with the fact that it is wall to wall people. They are a new restaurant. I talked to one of the owners, and she said they never expected to be as busy as they have been considering they have not advertised at all. They are still in the hiring process, and are under staffed. This last weekend I noticed there were new faces, and the service was faster then the prior weekends. I have had better food and service at other restaurants, but it is by no means poor. The teriyaki wings are the best I have ever had. However I like this place enough that I am not making a firm decision until after the grand opening. The atmosphere, and entertainment is second to none in Flagler County.

My wife and I have been to Hurricane Patty's a few times for drinks and appetizers. This place needs a restaurant manager that can run things. I agree that the waitstaff is disorganized and it looks like no one has a clue what's going on. I hope the owners realize that they could have a great place, but are losing it due to a discombobulated staff. I'll go back for drinks and the music, and might hit the place up by boat for something to do, but I don't think I'd ever spend my hard earned money on dinner. It's just not worth the hassle. I hope they turn it around and things get better because it is a nice place to hang out with friends.

We went with six other people on Friday, 2/26/11. We sat at a table at 6:30pm, at 6:45pm, still no waitress so my husband went to the bar for drinks. Very crowded and only two bartenders, very long wait. Finally a waitress at 7:15pm. Really, I'm not kidding. We ordered our food at 7:45pm, it arrived at 9:05pm, 1 hour and 20 minutes later. Really, I'm not kidding. Some food was good, some was bad. My husband's Buffalo Shrimp Appetizer was the most pitiful looking thing. It looked like it was fried in while flour and it had a yellow (????) sauce drizzled over the top of it. He could not eat it, it was horrible. The waitress never asked us if we wanted more drinks, we had to get them ourselves. The place has great atmosphere, so we'd probably stop in again for a drink, but we will NEVER eat there again. It was terrible how understaffed they were. If they keep it up, it will close just like all the other restaurants that have been at that location.

A friendly suggestion---someone needs to supervise the wait staff as they are disorganized and unable to provide good service on their own. Quite good food and great location! Some construction going on during the lunch hour. Will try again to see if the service improves.

Ate dinner for the first and last time at Hurricane Patty's. The waitress was prompt with drink refills but it took 45 minutes for our food to come out, and there were only three other tables besides us. The breading on the fried mushrooms had zero flavor. We didn't eat them, and although the waitress noticed and asked if we didn't like them, we were still charged for them. The pasta with grilled chicken amounted to a gluey mess with black, shriveled dry chicken on top. The fried fish was edible, but like everything else, was bland.
The kitchen staff was very loud, and I heard one "gentleman" refer to a customer as the old lady outside. Two others were in the dining room whipping each other with towels, and then one of them said he had been expelled from school.
Our bill with tip came to 50 bucks and we left hungry and extremely disappointed.

Last night we (4 couples) were in the main dining room for dinner at 6PM and it was 6:30 before our drinks arrived. We finally ordered and the server came back to our table 30 minutes later to inform us that they were out of pasta, coleslaw, and several other items that our group had ordered. Thirty minutes later, we asked for a check for the drinks and left. It is so sad, because everyone in the dining room seemed to do the same thing! We do feel that this could be a wonderful restaurant; however, they need to get their act together - QUICK!

I have been twice and both times the food and service was great. The atmosphere is part of the fun here cant wait to go back. Looking forward to the summer when there will be some boat traffic on the Intracoastal.

For the sole purpose of our waitress and the entertainer, being pleasant I will give it one star but I do have to say this was the worst meal we have ever had, and honestly my husband and I both got sick. I don't normally do reviews especially when a business first opens because they need to still get their ducks in a row, but this was beyond poor. We ordered a stuffed flounder dish that was really disappointing, the sauce was separated and runny and smelled like a really nasty pair of dirty socks. The clam chowder tasted like it was from a low grade can of soup. I would go on and on about everything we ate, because nothing was good, the shrimp was undercooked and cold inside and even the breading tasted old. I do want to say the reason I am writing this is we both got so sick after our meals that we had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics a week later because the sickness would not go away. I am sorry to say this but someone in the kitchen needs to be careful with food temperature or checking dates on sauces before serving to customers. Just because they have another location doesn't mean they have a proven track record because this was unacceptable! We were really looking forward to a new restaurant in town to enjoy, but unfortunately that is not what we found.

I had New England Clam Chowder and a house salad, which the server made for me using romaine lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce. It was very good. My companion had scallops and french fries, which he enjoyed. Love the atmosphere, of course. I went another night with "the girls". Sat at the outdoor tiki bar and loved it there. The drinks were great and the bartender was fun. They have happy hour. Inside there was karaoke and it was a full house. Can't wait for summer to go there. It's going to be a treat I look forward to.

So glad a good restaurant took over this location. The food is Proven, since the St Augustine restaurant has great reviews. We tried the Majnorcan Clam chowder and She Crab soup. Chowder was great (award winning at the St Augustine Chowder festival), She Crab was a little salty, but still very good (nothing left). The lunch menu allows you to mix the entree. We had catfish/scallops and clams/shrimp. All fried. All was great, except we are not big clam people. Side were good, prices reasonable. Location, out of this world. Server, Jesse, the best ever.... Never waited for service/delivery... We will go again.
