Review of Craves Coastal Kitchen by Lynn from Palm Coast
I vowed never to come back here again after several bad experiences, but as they have new owners and management my husband persuaded me to try it again and so glad we did. The new people have definitely made some big improvements and it no longer feels so moldy and musty and the service is now very professional. They have kept a similar menu as I remember it and I ordered the prime rib with shrimp which was good quality and delicious, and my husband ordered a T-bone and ate every bit. The Clam chowder had just enough spice and was very tasty too. I'm very happy to see this restaurant has turned around I hope they can maintain the improvements.

Awesome service and the best prime rib I've had for years. We were a bunch of bikers and were treated very well and with respect. All of us had either prime rib or steaks and we were all impressed with our food with everything cooked perfectly and tasted great.

Our waitress said they have a new owner that has been making some much needed improvements and it definitely shows. It feels fresher inside and the food is certainly better. My steak was cooked right and the sides good but the chowder needed to be hotter as it was barely warm. The salad was fresh. Looks like Martin's is on the up and hope it continues to improve. Maybe a name change would of been needed.

They are finnaly giving this place a much needed painting and it's starting to look a lot nicer. The prime rib was very big and had a good flavor and added a lobster tail which was worth it. I think the prices has gone up here but still good value considering.

This has to be the least inviting restaurant in Flagler Beach - with its very plain and drab exterior I drove past it twice thinking it was just an office building. Inside is a definite step back to the 70's with a lot of signs of wear and clutter and even had customers with their feet up! It seems to go beyond a relaxing atmosphere here and definitely not somewhere you'd take a date to impress. But the staff were nice and we sat by the window which allowed us to escape for a while as we gazed at the ocean.
We wanted steak and that's why we came here, so I had the Martins T-Bone Steak and my wife the Prime Rib. We both had a cup of Clam Chowder to start. The dinner rolls provided looked very anemic and needed more time in the oven to brown. The chowder was good and more delicate than I expected. Our steaks arrived we gasped at the sizes! My T-Bone, ordered medium rare, was a bloody mess on the plate and my wife's Prime Rib lacked seasoning. Neither tasted very good with almost no meat flavor, just the grill taste. No much choice of sides - so I just had a baked potato and coleslaw. Drinks tasted watery so we quickly switched to beers.
Looking around people appeared to be loving the experience, but alas we couldn't say the same. You get a mass of inexpensive food here so don't expect passionately cooked steaks with a nice sauce. If this is your idea of a great meal then please enjoy. We're visiting this area for an event, and was recommended Martin's by the hotel and will make a point of letting them know of our experience. Maybe it would be better as an office building.

On the beach and cheap, what else would you want? They have cold beer. Nice people and a southern charming place. You want better steaks go two Daytona and pay 3 times the price. God please stay safe.

Why does everyone bash this place? Nowhere else around here can you get so much steak or seafood for the money. It's not 5 star inside but prices good and service and atmosphere adequate. Always leave full and satisfied.

Could not even eat the prime rib. Tough as shoe leather with about the same taste. Place used to be great

A rough and ready place that offers terribly unhealthy yet satisfying food. Service is OK and you get what you pay for. You know the kind of place... big plates of fried food, canned or frozen sides, store bought hamburger buns as bread, etc. Steaks have always been quite good but skip the seafood... never had good fish here.

Martin's trends to get a bad rap but I quite like it. The building and atmosphere is a little tired but the views are great and it's very casual. Staff always friendly and helpful but kitchen can be slow. The food is good and plentiful. I've had steaks and although not the best cuts they have good flavor and cooked as requested. Seafood is good too but mostly fried. You get a big meal here for a reasonable price. Good specials!

This is very old school dining! Like a country style surf and turf place with dated interior and service. The food was plentiful and was actually better than I anticipated. Steaks looked like something from The Flintstones and my cardiologist would have a fit of he saw it! Not really someplace I'd visit often but we had friends in town and they insisted we give it a try. Good location across from ocean and plenty of parking on the side. I recommend if you like more quantity of quality and not looking for anwhere with atmosphere.

So many people put this place down but I've never had a bad meal here and find it great value. The prime rib is awesome and always cooked just right and the T-Bone is the best! Waitstaff are on the ball and hard working and the menu is very affordable considering the quality and portions. Very unassuming and family run. You can't beat it in my opinion.
Highlight of visit: Best for steaks! Prime rib and T-bone are my favorites.

Worst meal I have ever had. Ordered prime rib, medium. Received rare ICY cold slab of meat. When we complained to the waitress about our meat being cold, she said do you want some au jus, like that would fix the problem. Definitely NOT worth the money.

I hadn't been to Martin's in years until today as I never really enjoyed it or had a meal worth returning for, but although the decor is no better the food and service were both top notch. My husband's prime rib was massive and soooo tender, and my broiled seafood platter was cooked and seasoned just right. Our only complaint with the food was my husband's baked potato was like a hockey puck, and also with it's great location and view teh inside is really drab and does not impress whatsoever. Server was rough around the edges but on the ball and very helpful.

My husband and I just had the King Prime Rib. It was absolutely the best prime rib we have ever had and it was HUGE!! We are from Chicago and would fly back just for another. Amazing. Thanks.
