Melina’s Empanadas UNCLAIMED

First time here and it won't be the last. Terrific owner and her empanadas are delicious. She has savory and sweet ones, but I only tried the savory and they were seasoned just right and nice and cheesy. Made me want more but next time.

Amazing empanadas and right now they have some really good soup. Melina works hard keeping everything fresh and tasty and I can't recommend her restaurant enough.

These are amazing empanadas! The owner is wonderful and she makes savory and sweet versions. Good prices and always freshly made. The restaurant is not easy to spot but look for the flags.

Very hidden but well worth seeking out. Nice decor inside and friendly service. The empanadas are very authentic PR style with several fillings. I like the beef and cheese ones best but they've all been good. They also have PR chicken, stew, tostones, etc. but I haven't tried those yet.

Nice island decor and Melina seems to juggle from ordering to cooking. Her empanadas are very good and she has some tasty fillings, but my one complaint is that the pastry doesn't hold up so well. An hour later the pastry on my empanada lost it's crispiness and was too soft. So eat this quick!

Melina makes the best empanadas that you will find anywhere. The pastry is perfect and the sweet and savory fillings are all delicious. The staff are wonderful and although it's a small and unassuming place, it's clean and warm.

Highlight of visit: The Beef and Cheese is my favorite and the Strawberry Cheesecake is to die for.

Empanadas are mostly all they do here and they do them very well. Probably the best I've had! Sweet or savory, both superb. Lovely owner. Good prices and high quality.

I lived in Puerto Rico for six years in my teens and have been looking for empanadas that taste like I remember. OMG, Melina's is fantastic! I was there at least 3 times the first week I discovered them. I eat there, take them home, eat them, share them, or freeze them for later.

Highlight of visit: I have tried them all: my favorites are the cheesesteak & the beef, cheese & plantains but I also usually order the chicken bacon ranch for a change of pace. And we enjoy sitting outside when it's cool.

I don't go to that part of the county often so never knew of this place was there until the other day, and just couldn't resist dropping in. It's very cute inside and the lady in there was friendly and passionate about the food. The empanadas were as good as can be. Perfect pastry and tasty fillings. Plus her prices are very reasonable. The guava one was my favorite, but the savory ones were great too. My husband was mad as none left for him 🫢

I regularly stop here and get a selection of empanadas for the family. Our favorite is the beef and I like the chicken & cheese but all are very good. They even have a vegan one. Very nice and friendly people and their prices are fair. My only complaint is that the parking is not great when it's wet.

A very focused restaurant with some great empanadas both savory and sweet. A case of doing one thing very well. Order regularly and always happy with them. Nice people too.

Malina makes the most amazing empanadas you’ll find anywhere! She gets the best crispy pasty crust and the fillings are delicious. Her prices are very reasonable and she has created a lovely space in that building.

Cute small PR place! Ordered a few empanadas and the beef and sweet plantain was the best! Yucca fries were just right! Pleasent staff!

A small and very pleasant place with wonderful food. Melina and her family/staff take great care of you and make the best empanadas with a nice pastry and just enough filling. I've had a few of her creations and all have been delicious. You can't beat the prices either.

I should have checked their social media as I drove all h way there from the Hammock and they were closed for a few days! I usually get an big order of mixed empanadas to last me as they’re all so so good. My son loves them as a snack after school. The shop is very friendly and they have great prices.

Very cute place with lovely staff and the best empanadas north of San Juan. Ordered a variety and loved them all. The location is discrete and easily missed but you won't regret stopping there.

What a great addition to Bunnell... just a simple restaurant but selling the best empanadas around. Several fillings from savory to sweet to choose from and a few very good side items. It has lovely owners and the building looks the best inside as it ever has.

Nice and clean and very friendly with the most delicious empanadas this side of PR. This lady can cook! Very authentic. I'll be a regular customer for sure.
