Tucked in a plaza on Utility Drive, Bourbon Street Bar & Grill is one of Palm Coast's culinary hot spots. True to its namesake, Bourbon St. is a great place to satiate that craving for crawfish, or gumbo, and with live music and an extensive wine list, there is nothing utilitarian about it.
The second you walk in the door, you forget you're in a strip mall. Musically inspired works of art settle into the softly lit warmth of the faux walls, and the only notable ambient sounds are those of skillfully selected jazz, and others enjoying their evenings.
A hostess arrives and leads us to our seats, an out-of-the-way booth, just as requested. She smiles and leaves us with our menus and a wine list. After we settle in, our waitress makes herself known and takes our orders.
My company and I started our meals with Jumbo Baked Stuffed Clams, Peel & Eat Shrimp, and Fried Calamari. The appetizers were delivered promptly and almost too hot to eat. We sat back and slowly enjoyed what would be a wonderful evening out.
The staff at Bourbon Street all seemed to know exactly when it was okay to check up on us, or take the next part of our order, which consisted of the Shrimp Etouffe, and the 12 oz French Quarter Filet, medium rare. With the Shrimp Etouffe, it is possible to substitute your shrimp for crawfish, so my company decided to have her order half & half. And my Filet was perfect! I will say that I prefer my rice pilaf a bit stiffer than it was on this evening, but it was still satisfactory.
Bourbon Street has a full bar, so we made sure to "have a few" during dinner. Martinis tend to be my preference, so I ordered one dirty. My company had a sea breeze. Both were well crafted. Later, when it was time for a second round, the bartender, noting my preferences, offer me something special. A Caramel Apple Martini, which is apparently a Bourbon Street creation. As strange as it sounds, 15 seconds into your first sip of this copper-colored apple-tini, authentic caramel flavors emerge. An interesting cocktail, and perfect just before desert.
Most would argue that their bread pudding is the best desert on the menu, and it may be, but on this evening, we ordered an intriguing chocolate cake filled with molten chocolate, served under fresh whipped cream, which wasn't on the menu. "Glutton alert!" After the large portions Bourbon served up all evening, I really didn't have room for this bit of chocolate heaven... I ate it anyway!
In short, Bourbon Street Bar & Grill has everything. Attentive courteous staff, great food, a well staffed and stocked bar, extensive wine list, live entertainment, your choice of inclusive or reclusive seating, and more. We are proud to award them 5 stars.

This is a GREAT place to eat. The new owners care about their customers. The wait staff is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The food is delicious. What more can you ask for? The only thing I would change is the time the entertainment starts. I realize that most people enjoy eating in peaceful surroundings. So do we. The last time we went, entertainment was scheduled to start at 8:00. We sat through 45 minutes of tuning instruments and just couldn't wait any longer. Perhaps, the owners would consider booking a piano player a couple of nights a week. Piano music is mellow enough for background music through the dinner hours. That way, earlier diners could benefit from the entertainment without staying past their bedtime. We saw a great pianist at the Shark House last Friday night. His name is Kenyon Dye. The owners should try him. Even if nothing changes, the new owners are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work!

WONDERFUL! I was so satisfied with the Bourbon Street Bar and Grille (it is our new favorite place to eat) that I had to write a review. I was starting to lose all hope in Palm Coast that we would never find a decent place to eat, but this restaurant has put my mind at ease. For the excellent service to the incredible meals it was 10 stars in my book. I had the Crab Stuffed Flounder and it was exceptional all the way from the Flounder to the vegetables (the best sting beans I've ever eaten and I don't even like string beans) and my partner had a steak which was at least 2 1/2 inches thick with the best flavor. I went there after reading the incredible review from the food critic in Lifestyles magazine (we will be using his advice from now on). We are so excited about this restaurant and will recommend it to everyone we know. Thank you so much for such a wonderful evening!

A friend and I dined at the Bourbon Street Bar & Grill early on Saturday evening . We were both disappointed. My friend ordered the seafood platter; the shrimp was overcooked, and the scallops and flounder were both extremely undercooked. The undercooked seafood was clear, and gray in appearance. The garlic shrimp that I ordered were supposed to be deveined, but a third of the order was not. I dislike eating dirty shrimp. The flavor was very good. The served deducted $6.00 from my friend's tab. The service was good, but we found the food questionable. We probably won't be back. They were not busy since we were early; that would not be an excuse from the chef.

On 8/25/06, we had dinner at Bourbon Street. The food was excellent, my garlic shrimp appetizer was great as was the shrimp & cognac main meal. We enjoyed our meals with nice background music from a live band. Service was spectacular. I will go back but bring my whole family.

Ate there tonight. Food was spectacular and so was the service. The appetizer alone was enough for a meal. I had the garlic shrimp and smashed potatoes and hubby had bbq shrimp with the gumbo. All were excellent. Will definitely go back.

I must say the new owners at Bourbon Street definitely make every one of their customers feel like family, they are the nicest group of people in the PC dining arena, and the food is fantastic. I can only wish such a great group of people the very best of luck with this new fine dining experience, and if you go in on Miss Patty's Karaoke night Wednesday, you may just see the youngest of the group their 9 year old daughter singing her heart out, she is talented. Enjoy because I do every time I'm there.

As a merchant seaman, I travel a lot and get a chance to frequent and eat out at various restaurants in different countries. My experience at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, ranks up there with
the finest places that I have eaten at. It is a joy to come home to Palm Coast, relax, and frequent my "favorite" place where I get a great meal, a nice glass of wine, and get to meet some of the friendliest people from Palm Coast and sorrounding areas. It's a place to make and meet new friends. After a GREAT satisfying meal, one winds up at the bar and conversations are plenty with strangers who suddenly become friends. IT'S A GREAT EXPERIENCE and my THIRD home away from home... My ship, my house, and, BOURBON ST. BAR & GRILL...Hey, any chance on
having "SINGLES NIGHT" at this place where a SINGLE gentleman such as myself can meet SINGLE ladies for "Wine, Dine, and CONVERSATION"?
P.S. DID I MENTION THE BREAD PUDDING??? WOW!!!
DID I MENTION FRANK AND VICTOR WHO MAKE YOU
VERY WELCOME??? Ask for them when you go there
and tell them "MARIO SENT YOU"!

We went back a second time, the same week, it was so good. The salads are fresh, the gumbo had just enough bite but not too much. First night out I had the grouper with mango sauce. Very creative and VERY delicious. My husband enjoyed the beef saying it was fork tender and perfectly medium. The appetizers were shared by three and were a perfect amount. Second time I had the crab stuffed chicken caruso. The next day I made crab cakes out of the stuffing there was so much left over and chicken salad from the leftover chicken. Certainly I got my money's worth. Ask the bartender for a hurricane, the perfect drink to accompany the delightful atmosphere. And don't forget desert. Yummy

This is a very nice looking place. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive.
We began with a bowl of Gumbo, it starts off mild and just as I was about to ask for hot sauce, it gave my taste bud a spicy kick. it had just the right amount of heat.
I ordered the Blackened Chicken Breast with mushroom and crawfish sauce over rice pilaf. The chicken was excellent, it was moist, good texture and the blackened seasoning was quite tasty. The mushroom and crawfish sauce, however, didn't have any flavor at all, it was very bland... even after adding salt, pepper and Tabasco. It was also watery. This made the rice pilaf underneath it soggy. The sauce detracted quite a lot from an otherwise excellent chicken dish.
My friend had the stuffed fish. It was excellent, very well prepared and had a nice flavor. The smashed garlic potatoes was declared "the best ever".
A two piece band had just started as we were about to have desert. The keyboard and drums duo played pop oldies from the 70s. It made good background music. It was pleasant and didn't distract from enjoying our dinner and conversation.
For desert, we ordered the warm bread pudding. It was very good, it had a very nice rum raisin taste to it. It would've been more than perfect if a couple of scoops of Haagen Daz's Vanilla ice cream had topped it. They said it serves two... it would've served four more than satisfactorily.
I had was a very good dining experience and I'd come back here again.

Nice atmosphere and the place looks a whole lot better. Food was great (I had the stuffed flounder)... great wine selection and my waiter, Dan, was very nice and attentive. The live music on Friday is a nice touch and a much needed place to enjoy a nice night out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

New and Exciting!!!! Recently 10 of us gathered for dinner here and were treated to one of the most beautiful evenings we've had in a long time!!! The food was wonderful, the service exceptional, and a visit from the chef at tableside made the evening complete.... give it a try and you'll be back, just the way we will be.

The food was great, do not change the chefs. Service was good. The server I had seemed a little frustrated but did a great job. The entertainment on Friday night was also great. If I new that they were open I would of been coming sooner, because the sign was gone and they were not open during the day , maybe a little more communication with the public. Over all this place is great!
