Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar CLAIMED

Just stopped in for some sushi and thought it was very good. They have quite a large selection and all the rolls we ordered looked and tasted very good. The Oklahoma Roll was my favorite. The staff is nice and the atmosphere pleasant. Japanese beer was very good.

First time here since Sakura and the renovations have definitely freshened the place up. Staff provided good service and our hibachi chef was a lot of fun. Food tasted very good and portions were large - their yum yum sauce should come by the gallon and with a straw LOL Nice that they offer Tofu and Veggie hibachi which made my daughter happy. The deep fried cheesecake is an incredibly bad (as in good) dessert.

A huge improvement over the first time we went a few months ago! Service was top notch and our chef was a lot of fun and had a big personality. The food was tasty and definitely plentiful and the kids really enjoyed the show. A fabulous establishment and can't wait to return.

I guess now you need a reservation if yo want the hibachi so we ended up ordering sushi instead which was good but we had our hearts set on hibachi and some entertainment. Our visit a couple of months ago for hibachi was much more positive. Staff here are also very under trained and need more knowledge.

This was a special night with my son's Birthday - What a night! It was so wonderful! The service was top notch, the waiter, chef service was right on!

They appear to be having staffing issues and I know that's a general problem so I try to be forgiving, but maybe management should be more present to guide and pitch in as needed. Staff problems, aside, they still make my food and take my money so i do have some expectations. Food was about average, flavors were not so bad but overall it didn't have much vibrancy or freshness about it. Sushi rolls tasted no better than I can get at Publix. Just felt like the restaurant is running on a very tight budget. It also took awhile to be acknowledged by staff when we first entered and we came close to leaving. Definitely needs some improvements all round.

I am so disappointed in the sushi rolls my daughter and I had last night. Didn't even eat it. It was NOTHING like I used to get when it was Sakura. And the girl who answers the phone there doesn't know shit about anything. Two times I've called there to ask questions and she is LOST. I'm done with this place.

I have been to several of these Japanese style teppanyaki /hibatchi restaurants and they mostly do the same banter and playing with the food while cooking and it's just the personality of the chef that will really make it, and here our chef did quite a good job considering other diners really weren't paying attention. The food was OK and tasted just like most but it's no Benihana! Service was good and efficient but the atmosphere is too stark. Overall it's quiet a fun experience for local with reasonable food but don't expect high quality Japanese cuisine.

They haven't done a whole lot of renovations since Sakura but the food and the service are much better. Six of us went for dinner hibachi and had a lot of fun... the chef was entertaining and funny and the food was plentiful and delicious. Servers were always checking on us and we thought it was good value for money. This is great place for a celebration or just a fun night out with good food.

We got take out and it was awful! The salad was rusty with watery dressing. The shrimp tempura roll had cream cheese in it. I order this roll all the time, I have NEVER had warm cream cheese in it. Gross! The hibachi was mediocre at best. I miss Sakura already!

No awards for gourmet food but it's fun and food tasted quite good. Our chef did a good job at keeping us entertained while cooking but I'm just not a big fan of playing with food. Salad was small and dressing OK, Not the highest quality of steak cuts but then again the prices weren't for such. Service was good to start but half way through had to keep catching the server's attention. We were here for a birthday but doubt I'd go for a regular meal out.

Calamari was not cooked all the way. Server didn't refill kids drinks. Cook and server seemed like he didn't want to be there.

Horrible. No flavor. Cook just kept saying I don't want to do this anymore. No drink refills until meal was nearly done.

Hibachi chef was very entertaining and the food he cooked was delicious. All staff were great and our meal was a lot of fun. The NY Strip with Salmon combo tasted so good and loved the white ginger dressing. Fair pricing and nice atmosphere.

We don't care too much for hibachi style dining so had tempura and sushi. We ordered the Vegetable Tempura, Pork Gyoza, and a selection of sushi rolls. The tempura was very good with crispy batter and tender veggies. The gyoza were chewy and kind of tough and didn't have much flavor. The sushi was mostly very good but the Manhattan Roll being our favorites. Wouldn't order the Heaven Roll again though. It was a nice time here and staff were attentive. Bill was on the high side though!

I'm a huge fan of Tokyo's in Ormond and PC location did not disappoint! The sushi was wonderful and hibachi chef was skilled & lots of fun. New openings always have some hiccups but we will be regulars!

Eddie was such a great chef and the most entertaining, the entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. Food and service was really good too!

We went in this past Saturday for sushi, the hostess was full of smiles and great vibes! We were very impressed! We were sat quickly, our server was a young girl who really didn’t have the personality to be a waitress as she had a very flat affect. We ordered several rolls, and once received we noticed one whole roll hadn’t been made, restaurant was accommodating and had it remade but it took some time. The food overall was good, ambiance also good. My biggest issue is the owner berating his staff in front of customers. I realize they are working out the kinks, however those types of things need to be dealt with elsewhere.

Not much different than it's previous owner but my daughter was pissed off that they cooked her veggie and tofu hibachi next to the meat ones contaminating it and using same utensils. They also added egg to her rice that should of not had it even though the chef knew about it two minutes before. Steak hibachi was good but could of had more seasoning. I think we made the mistake of visiting too early after opening and need to wait a while for it to sort itself out.

Really entertaining hibachi... chef was fun and food tasted fabulous. He did a great job with the calamari and was very tender.There was a lot of food and enough to bring home. Definitely a step above the previous Sakura that was in this spot. Will try sushi next time as that looked good.
