I was disappointed with the lack of meat and it was mostly all gravy, and my friends chicken was very dry. Flaors were just OK. Server not too friendly... read more!
Review of Island Flavaz by Aaliyah from Palm Coast
I had a good tasty lunch here! I ordered the brown chicken stew which was delicious and came with rice and veggies. Bottle of ginger beer with it and I was happy. I'd like to see the staff happier though! But it was all good.

They have a good variety of classic Jamaican foods here with nothing really unique. The jerk seasoning on the chicken was good, and the meat was moist. Escovitch fish was a little mild and maybe needed marinating longer. Rice and side were good. Overall a tasty meal close to authentic but I feel the flavors could do with being turned up higher. Staff could work on being more personable and give more of that warm Caribbean welcome.

My jerk chicken was a little dry and toughish but the flavor was very good... the cabbage, and rice and peas were good. I'd like to try other dishes like the ox tail.

Being a vegetrian I was able to eat very well here and enjoyed my meal. I love plantains and Flavorz' are very good as were all the sides. The smell when I walked in took me back to the Caribe and the people were helpful.

Visited for lunch and had the curried chicken express meal and got some jerk pork to go for later. The curry was good but I thought it was on the mild side and not a lot of meat, but the red peas and rice and veggies were nice, and the jerk pork tasted good. Staff could smile more but did a good enough job.

Grabbed some dishes from here for the office and everyone loved the food. I'm no expert on Jamaican food or know how authentic is, but I do know 8 people found it delicious. Staff were good and cool Jamaican theme inside.

Came for breakfast and really enjoyed the food... beef liver was very good and not at all 'irony'... green bananas were just right and good porridge. Staff friendly albeit a little disorganized and it's a nice clean and bright place. Left very full.

I had no problems with the food and enjoyed everything I ate here. Very good 'flavas' and it tasted very authentic. The staff acted flustered but it's nice inside with lots of Jamaican paraphernalia and island vibes.

OK, this review is tough... I'll just say that I think they need to reorganize and focus on their dishes. Right now, it feels very disorganized and the flavors are just not what they should be. It was much better when they were at the beach and I hope they find their groove again. I can't recommend right now, but I'll try again in a few months 🫰🏾

I was disappointed with the lack of meat and it was mostly all gravy, and my friends chicken was very dry. Flaors were just OK. Server not too friendly and had little concern. The place seems to be running on a very tight budget but it's pricey for what you get. Sylvain's is not great, but a better choice than here.

I frequent the restaurant on the beachside often and was anticipating the reopening. I tried it today and the taste of the food was delicious but I only had three oxtails in the dinner. A lot of rice and peas and cabbage but I only got three oxtails. I pray that was a mistake because I paid almost $30 for the oxtails not the rice and vegetables. Disappointed.
Highlight of visit: Oxtails are my favorite food just not satisfied with portions.

Come for a breakfast with a taste of the Caribbean... a nice change from the usual local offerings. Service is not so friendly but the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean.

The staff seemed a little overwhelmed but the food was really tasty. I ordered the Curry Chicken Roti Meal with a Fried Dumpling and Plantains, and I enjoyed it all. The decor is cool and it was nice and clean.
Highlight of visit: I recommend the Curry Chicken Roti Meal. It was very tasty and a good portion for under $15!

I stopped in yesterday for their soft opening event and the food was laid out buffet style. I tried a few dishes but nothing was labeled so not sure what they all were, but everything had very good flavor. And of course a bottle of Red Stripe washed everything down well. Nice 'Jamaican' theme inside and couldn't really rate the service as it was quite busy and not table service.

I liked Island Flavaz when it was at Flagler Beach and the food I had here today was even better. The Brown Stew was amazing and cornbread, roti, and rice and pigeon peas were all very good. Very island themed inside and good service. So much more to come back and try.
