Dahlia Mexican Kitchen PERMANENTLY CLOSED

I’ve been here a few times when I come to visit my parents in Palm Coast. We walked in and the restaurant was absolutely trashed. The floor was disgusting, with crushed-up chips, a knife (that the staff kept repeatedly walking over), and dirty napkins everywhere. We were seated at an obviously dirty booth and the hostess didn’t seem to care that there was food on the table and seats. We switched seats and actually had a decent meal. Forgot our server's name, but he did a good job.

Anyway, I have never seen a restaurant so trashed and no one bother to pick up anything laying on the floor. It was mind blowing. So disappointed with how dirty things were and it gave me pause about eating there. What the heck happened??

Highlight of visit: The picante margarita was excellent and my burrito was amazing.

Went today for a Cinco de Mayo lunch expecting it to be busy and slower than normal, but the service was awful and the food very below their usual standard. Once seated we were ignored by every server who just walked past us without any acknowledgment until I had to finally get up and track someone down. Margaritas didn't taste anything like I've had there before plus served in cheap very flimsy plastic cups you could hardly pick up without them collapsing. Ordered Cauliflower Tacos which came out cold and tasted like they were fried in old oil, and the Garden Quesadilla was a sloppy mess and barely warm. Our server throughout was very nonchalant about any issues and acted like we were an inconvenience. I guess they just weren't prepared for today and it was a complete letdown. It'll be a long time before I think about visiting here again!

Went for lunch and it took a while to get seated and served - no one to greet us and once seated the server didn't come over for a long time. But once our server arrived she was very friendly and was great. We really liked our food. They have excellent flavors and it all looks fabulous. Their drinks are also very good but on the sweet side. I think this is the best tasting Mexican food around and I highly recommend.

What's not to like about great tasting Mexican food, friendly service, and a cool atmosphere? Oh and did I mention their awesome margaritas? Really love everything about Dahlia and never had a bad meal [or cocktail] here.

The food here is awesome with a good variety of bar drinks. The atmosphere is really cool and wait staff all pitch in. Quite a lot of fun items on the menu and great appetizers such as the Guac Flight and Asada Fries... and you have to try their Blazing Tinga tacos which are incredible!!! Margaritas are all good and I recommend the Black Dahlia.

Food did not disappoint... drinks here are very good too with some nice Margaritas. The Sonora tacos are killer as are the Shrimp Burritos! For some reason never get very friendly service here... but worth it for the food!

Hubby and I go here often! It's our favorite go to place after our weekly shop at the Publix. Portions are big and the food is very tasty. The Guava Margaritas are dangerously good. Never a problem with service and it has a cool atmosphere.

Highlight of visit: Love their Shrimp Enchiladas or Carnitas.

Compared to the Mexican I'm used to when living in CA and NV this is not very authentic or flavorful, but for American style Mexican on the east coast it's not so bad and the best I've sampled locally so far. Service was on the ball but server kind of standoffish.

Left here very satisfied... everything we ate was tasty and the margaritas excellent. Shrimp Burrito was delicious. Service very attentive but our server was not very friendly and needed deodorant LOL

Had an excellent waitress who really made our meal, as past service here has not been so good. Food is awesome here and the margaritas always hit the spot. LOVE their Shrimp Burritos 😋 and Cauliflower Tacos.

I really liked the food but found the staff to be very impersonal and unfriendly, to the point where I thought something tragic may of happened! That aside, we had a lot of food and every bite was delicious. Great flavors and just the right amount of spice. Need to work on service and this place would be a gem! As it is, I'd try one more time to see if staff are in better moods.

Although not the best Mexican food I've had it is the best I've had around here. Service is on or off and atmosphere is kind of dull, but the food is colorful and does have good flavors. They also have a few of their own house dishes and it's nice to see good vegan/vegetarian options included on the menu. Drinks are decent but can be very sweet.

Highlight of visit: Try the Chile En Nogada

Delicious food and never disappointed with the taste and freshness. Plenty of flavor. Service not very big into personal attention and can be rushed. Drinks are good value. Go for food and not for the vibe or service.

I was put off by their lack of hygiene. Had to wait for a table and when the previous people left I watched staff clear the dishes away and just give it a quick wipe... no disinfecting, no wiping down salt and pepper shakers! With the huge rise in infections I expected better practices. I was with friends so didn't make a scene but played not hungry. I sipped on a beer as lost my appetite.

I like the food here but just can't get along with the service. Never had good service all the times I've been. Tonight the two staff members greeting us were really unfriendly and our server seemed to rush to bother with us. He never listened ignoring questions, and was like a bull in a china shop. The kind of gray interior doesn't feel Mexican at all and it's not very welcoming. That being said I do enjoy the food which why I endure all the former. It's always tasty with ample portions and they make some pretty good drinks too.

I must admit we had a couple of disasters with ordering takeout during Covid 19 but before and since it has always been very reliable with tasty food and good service. Although we like the atmosphere it's not a very warm cantina feel but more LED's and sugar skulls which doesn't make it very authentic. I travel to Mexico every month for work (outside Covid times) and never seen this style over there.

Have ordered many times from here during stay in place and it's always been easy and efficient. They have their full menu available for delivery or curbside plus jugs of their margaritas! Love how their food tastes and staff always professional. Until we can dine in again I'm at least satisfied I can still get my Mexican fix!

Delivery minimum was too high for me so ordered for curbside pickup. Food was pretty good but not the same as what I've had inside their restaurant. But under the circumstances I can't complain too much.

Very good customer service and excellent food. Big variety of dishes and mixed drinks. Server gave us lots of attention and tacos delicious! Loved the decor! We'll be back for more!

Nice place and service was good but found the food disappointing. They do a good job at presenting the food in a modern way but it still tastes like just about every other Mexican restaurant and not very authentic. I will give them kudos for offering veg options but would like to see some more unique dishes. I was in Mexico last year and their food is way above this over there now.
