Their Surf n Turf Burger special was really good... it had a burger, crab cake, blue cheese and horseradish sauce that all came together perfectly. Server was on his game and the views great.

Fish Sandwich was awesome and fries were perfect. Wife had the Crab Cakes and raved about them especially about the chili mango sauce. Drinks not too impressive though. Like the ambiance and service was good but resin chairs won't keep you there too long.

Some of the best food around and a nice quiet place to enjoy beachside dining without the party crowds. Compact but varied menu with sophisticated dishes from Wasabi Salmon to a Thai Curry Bowl. Whatever your entree, make sure you try their Lobster Bisque! It's the best! Service is professional and tables are nicely spaced with outside seating offering great views. Full bar too :-)

Highlight of visit: They're famous for their Wasabi Salmon. It really is good.

I hadn't been in here since it was Blue. Not too much changed but didn't seem to have the kitschiness as before and was somewhat stark white. Menu was not large but nice enough selection and I ordered the Lobster Bisque to start and the Shrimp & Scallops as an entree. Like at Blue, the Lobster Bisque is the same and tasted excellent. The Shrimp & Scallops were good too, with an Asian twist all perfectly cooked. Service was attentive but we felt hurried towards to the end... it was only 8PM but they seemed eager for us to leave.

Creative dishes and everything tasted wonderful. Loved the Wasabi Oyster and their Lobster Bisque is absolutely the best I've had. Staff a delight and the atmosphere is takes you back to calmer times. A feelgood place with very enticing dishes. Make reservations if you plan on visiting peak times. Excellent views.

Been here twice now and like it very much. The menu is eclectic and mishmash with items from poke bowls and Thai curry to Quesadillas and Shrimp Pomodoro, so it's kind of lacking an identity. On my first visit I had the
Wasabi Salmon which was excellent but my partner's Thai Curry Bowl was disappointing to her. On our second visit I chose the Ahi Tuna that was an incredible dish with much going on in a good way. My partner this time ordered the Vegetable Stir Fry that she enjoyed and really liked the use of quinoa in lieu of rice.

The atmosphere is inviting with an inside area that is very interesting and outside verandahs offer wonderful ocean views. Service was professional and prices are on the high side for the area, although worth it for the quality.

Nice place to dine in a piece of local history. Love the setting and magnificent views. Staff professional and although pricey it's worth it. Can't get enough of their Wasabi Oysters and their Roasted Duck is the best. Cocktails are so so though so I stick with wine.

Highlight of visit: Wasabi Oysters are a must!

A nice little restaurant with a outdoor porch offering wonderful views of the oceanfront. The food is a step up from the usual A1A establishments with reasonable pricing and professional service. Every meal I've had here has been delicious and I particularly enjoy Sunday brunch here. They have a good selection of items on the menu to please most pallets from roast duck to burgers. Make sure you try the Lobster Bisque! It's sooooooo good.

On Feb. 10, a group of 18 people came for lunch. We had 2 waitresses who were very nice. We were given a limited menu for our large group. We had one long table. The food came out slowly as one side of the table was served first. That not really a problem. For our money, we received only the meal. Everything else was extra money. We received no soup, salad and no bread offered at all. I had the shrimp portofino which was excellent and a generous portion. I sure would have liked a piece of crusty bread to soak up the sauce. At the end of the meal, were not offered coffee or desert. Maybe if diners were in groups of 2 or 4 or 6, they would get a more extensive menu. I don't know because I did not pick up a paper menu on the way out. All the antiques and furnishings were wonderful and the historic building was amazing.
I guess I was looking for a few extras. Will I return? Yes, with a smaller group.

I went there after hearing that the chef from Blue was back. He may be but the quality and quantity of the food does not match the price. No bread or salad. I got a shrimp dish that I had previously at Blue. Taste was OK but lacked shrimp count. No lamb on the menu either. Too expensive for what you get. This is not Orlando or Miami.

We were disappointed when Blue closed but were happy to hear that Island Grille opened at the same location so we decided to go with our friends for a late lunch/early supper. The place pretty much looked the same as when it was Blue but there was some improvement.

We sat outside on the deck which is the place we prefer to sit at this restaurant. Service was very good and so was the food; however, the scallop salad (everyone's favorite at Blue) was not on the menu so we ordered something else. While dining, we noticed that another table got a scallop salad so we asked the waiter who told us it's available but they didn't want to put it on the menu because the price of scallops change and the management didn't want to have to raise/lower the price to coincide with price changes. We suggested they add it to the menu with "market price" noted. Hope they take our suggestion.

Honestly Island Grille like Blue really needs to update the decor both in and out but it's still one of our favorite restaurants at Flagler Beach.

We visited the Island Grille Saturday evening for the first time, I must say that we were disappointed since we felt that the followed in the footsteps of the Blue since one of the Blue owner is part owner in this one. We sat outside and the atmosphere was top notch, the food was good but not great and very expensive. Plus, for the price they do not serve bread nor do you get a small dinner salad. I cannot call this place upscale, the waiter was annoyed when one of our guest asked for an additional fork instead of the fork he used for the salad. We hope that in the future they will include bread and salad with their meals, it costs pennies to add these.

Decided to have dinner and was very happy. The Wasabi oysters are incredible and my wife and I enjoyed our entrees. The staff is friendly and attentive. Managers and owners kept checking to see if we were enjoying the experience. This is a first class operation and our new favorite restaurant.
