I went there for the very first time recently with my wife. I could not understand the menu hanging on the wall. After jerking around for several minutes... read more!
Review of Panera Bread by Clifton from Palm Coast
They were out of several things that we wanted even though it was still quite early! Crousaint needed baking longer, but bagels were good and the orange scone was tasty. My daughter wasn't happy with her oatmeal saying it had no taste.

Stop here for breakfast often when I'm in town as it's convenient to my hotel. Good selection of bagels that are always fresh and I like the Honey Walnut Cream Cheese. Their cookies are good and usually get some for the road. Coffee is not the best so I skip that here and get some from the hotel.

Didn't really like the ordering and pickup system here... feels like school lunch! The corn chowder was good but the turkey sandwich had no taste and was way too dry and fell apart. No fresh coffee! By the time it was ready I was about to leave. Floor needed sweeping. The bread I got to take home was very good.

Stopped in for breakfast today and we had breakfast sandwiches, croissants, and coffee, and everything was fresh and tasty. The young lady taking our order was very friendly and lively. The only issues we had was that although it was early in the morning the dining room and drinks station were already untidy, and I may be sensitive in the mornings, but the guy that kept yelling out names was so loud and obnoxious! There must be a nicer solution.

I find the food and service can be hit or miss here. I have learned which items to avoid now. Sometimes the food seems very quickly thrown together and it shows. But when it's done right, I like some of the items here especially the seasonal soups and they make some good sandwiches, except I've never had a good experience with their breakfast sandwiches.

I’ve been picking up bagels for work for quite a while now. It’s always a pleasure when I pull up and see Jordan at the window because I know I am going to get great service. She’s always very friendly efficient and accommodating.
Highlight of visit: Bagels

I found the staff here to be very friendly and willing to help but the food at this location never seems to taste as good as it does at others. Not sure what the difference is but the soups seem thinner and everything needs more seasoning. The atmosphere is nice but the tables needed a clean. The outside area is the best spot to sit.

I have never had a very good experience inside this restaurant but they catered an office even last week and I have to say that service and food were really excellent. Everything was fresh, tasted great, and was nicely boxed and packaged, and the coffee and drinks were very good too. My ratings here are for the catering and I just wish they could do the same in the restaurant.

Stopped in on my way to Orlando. Food was mediocre and left me barely satisfied. Order time was slow and they forgot my chips I had ordered.

Stopped in for a little lunch. The person taking orders at the register does not speak English very well and with the mask it is impossible to communicate with her. She also had her hat pulled down so all you could see was a little bit of the eyes. Ordering was a disaster. I ordered a simple turkey sandwich on white bread but it came with lettuce etc. My husband ordered a tuna sandwich that came with a very small amount of tuna on it. He also had the Mac & cheese. We decided to pickup breakfast for tomorrow and added a cinnamon roll and chocolate croissant to the order. The total came to nearly $40! I asked how could it be that high? Was told that was the total. Paid the bill but when the cashier went to get our pastries she had charged for 4 croissants instead of one. She got the manager to fix it. We were not happy with the service and during this ordeal, they only had one cashier, this one that can't communicate! As we ate we watched numerous people return their food because it was not as ordered. And we won't return to this store!

Often out of what I want. Bagels were not good on todays visit - looked like they had been squashed! Staff could be nicer and had trouble finding a clean table. Have had much better experiences here before.

Woman serving on last visit acted like it was such an effort to take my order. Soups taste like frozen or canned but sandwiches are OK. No coffee? To much bother here to return.

I recommend this if you catch them at a good time. Sometimes it's good, friendly, fresh and clean, and other times it's like a different experience with careless staff, dirty coffee/condiment areas, slow service, and food tasting old. On last visit the Margherita Flatbread was very good. I work at the hospital and there's not many choices close by so keep hoping this will be a good day when I visit.

Had the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich which was very good and the Agave Lemonade was very refreshing. Picked up some bread to take home but didn't try yet. Everywhere looked clean including the bathroom. Staff were all nice and food arrived quickly.

The only time I ever come here is when it's cold as I like their soup and sandwich deal. Their French Onion or Broccoli Cheddar with a grilled cheese really hits the spot this weather. Although I'm not too keen on the atmosphere in there and the coffee can be stale sometimes. I usually get to go and eat at my desk.

Always use the drive thru. It always takes multiple attempts to get the person taking the orders to fully understand our specific order. The last four times the orders have been wrong. I always order turkey with NO MAYO. The last three times I have received mayo on the sandwich. I can not eat mayo due to an allergy. Yesterday about 1pm I ordered an additional sandwich. Tuna with lettuce on white grain bread. It took three try's to explain that order. Once back on the road, I checked the bag and there was a small container of tuna and lettuce and NO BREAD for the sandwich. I spent $12 and had no lunch. I am not willing to try again due to the service issues at this location. I would recommend that the employee's taking the orders not be kids, and use adults for that position. Panera in Palm Coast is in a good location for us, but can not risk it again. I would not recommend. It's really expensive and there is better value else where.

Left with mixed feelings... first the staff were friendly but rushed us. Second, we couldn't find a clean table. And third, our food (soup and sandwich) was good as were the teas, but we felt the portions were very small for the cost. Do I recommend or would I visit again? Yes, but if I was on a budget I would find something more filling and substantial for my money.

I am grateful to have Panera as a counter service option nearby because I am not a fan of the multiple other fast food around here. Overall the staff is pleasant and the food is fresh and tasty. My only complaint that I have noticed over years is the sandwiches are kind of skimpy. I had the turkey/apple sandwich recently and hardly any turkey. Tasted good. Skimpy on the meat for the price.
Highlight of visit: Love the soups, bowls and bagels/breads!

Staying at hotel close by and thought it was soup weather so we stopped in for a warming lunch but was disappointed with the flavor and quality. Nothing too impressive! Just a fast food bakery with little that is fresh with frozen soups, etc. The soup was not as good as anything I could get from a can and was expensive. Salty and sweet and not much flavor. The sandwich was dry. Staff friendly and tables were clean. Nice to have coffee station but the one I wanted was empty. Not a very good experience and doubt I'd bother again.
