Favorite dish #33 burro locos. Nice quiet atmosphere, the waitresses are super and sweet! The restaurant is not fancy or modernized, but very relaxing.

There was a time, a few years ago, when this was a really good Mexican restaurant. No More. They must be under new management because the food is just downright awful. My wife and I went their the other night and I just could not believe the transformation from a really nice place to this horrendous destination. I had a Quesadilla and it was inedible it was that bad. Do yourself a favor...stay away if you know what's good for you.

This was my first time trying this restaurant and will be my last. This was the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food had no taste , very bland. The service was very slow. we and one other couple were the only ones in the restaurant at lunch time and it still took 45 minutes to get our food. This is one restaurant I know I will not be going back to. Please do not waste your time or money as I did. Taco Bell would have been better and I do not like taco bell.

I work out at the gym down the block and I had ordered food to go before and never had a problem. The girls up front took my order exactly and although the wait was a little long (which surprised me because it's always empty) it was OK. I came back with my wife and children and at first the waitress was very nice and prompt, I asked for water with light ice and lemon, she brought me a glass filled to the top with ice and no lemon. My wife asked for information on the menu because she's from Russia and does not know Mexican food, at first the waitress was patient and then she got defensive. We ordered and 45mins later our food came out, my food had onions so I sent it back, 6 mins later a new burrito came out without onions and we finished and left. We came back the next Saturday and they gave my wife completely the wrong entrée, the waitress got noticeably angry when she sent it back and then when the bill came they had charged us for two entrees. My wife questioned the bill and a small Latino man with a scorpion necklace on came out from the kitchen. He had a really bad attitude and argued with my wife that she was wrong and he never makes the wrong food, after a tense 10 minutes he took the bill removed the incorrect order. I felt badly for the waitress so I over-tipped and we left.
Tonight after taking a break from there for nearly 3 months we stopped in for dinner after the gym, right from the get-go the same waitress came over and was very aggressive. I ordered my burrito in exact detail and the small man came from the kitchen asked me the same questions and I ordered exactly without onions and peppers. I went to the restroom and came back and the three of them, young waitress, the previous waitress, and the small man were all taking my wife's order for plain coffee but it was border-line arguing. I tried to smile and keep things polite and just waited for my food, 15 minutes later it came from the kitchen looking and smelling good but full and I mean stuffed with peppers. I politely asked the young waitress what happened and she said Si, yes I know you ordered without onions or peppers, I heard you... she went to the kitchen and the small man came right out and came right over to the booth and started yelling at us, telling us we were terrible customers, that he makes the food the way it should be and they don't like Russian people, they cant understand my wife's English and at that point I had enough and told him we are done, we are leaving and never coming back, he called me several curse words in Spanish and I answered him back in Spanish and we left. He does not speak great English himself and for him to embarrass my wife and proclaim his dislike for Russian people is wrong. We will never go back!

My husband and I haven't been to this restaurant in a few years. Last night he suggested we go to Los Amigos for fajitas and so we did. We sat a the bar, had a few drinks and our server "Little Taco" was very sweet and efficient. She remembered us from a few years ago. which was very cool.
Our fajitas were not sizzling when they came out but they were hot and they tasted delicious.
We used to frequent Bourbon Street in its day and also Bailey's. It was our favorite bar for a long time and I'm happy that we had a nice dinner and a few drinks last night. Looking forward to another visit.

Relocating from Houston (I know my Mexican/Cuban food) and stopped here for lunch. Salsa is nice and fresh (tastes homemade), I got the Ropa Vieja which looked a bit grayish but the awesome flavor was still there, the waitress was constantly checking on us and it was not that crowded (after lunch). I thought it would take me awhile to find my go to Latin rest but I have found it.

Every year my mother and I look forward to celebrating Cinco De Mayo. Yesterday, May 5th, 2014 Salsas (our normal Mexican Restaurant of choice) had a long wait, so we decided to try the new Los Amigos. Let's just say an hour and a half into our setting we still had not received the waitress to ask for our main entrée order. We ran out of chips for the complementary salsa after about 30 minutes and drinks after about 45. After she did come for our orders we were a little full from consuming all the salsa and chips so I only order 1 taco. Taco Bell, which I don't particularly like anyway, was 5 star compared to the taco I got. It was beef taco, hard shell, with no tomatoes. The meat was not warm, and had a very large amount of fat globules stuffed into the seasoned "beef". It then took another 40 minutes to ask for the waitress to check on us, at which point we asked for the check. We thought maybe it was just because they were busy in the kitchen for Cinco De Mayo, but after 20 minutes of still not receiving just a bill we decided to walk up the the cash register and pay that way, this whole time we never received drink refills once, even upon a double request. Very disappointed and will not return.

We visited Los Amigos for the first time 05/05/14. We arrived at 6:00PM could not be seated for 15 min or more because there were no menus. Plenty of tables open! Once sat chips and salsa arrived drink order taken and was delivered incorrect. Food took almost an hour to be served in the meanwhile ordered another drink which never came. Food was so so. Spent more time trying to entertain the 1 yr old, while we continued to wait for tab and to-go box. Not coming back anytime soon. No one seemed to know what they were doing everyone smiling but full of excuses. Many improvements still needed to keep customers coming back and satisfied.

What a pleasant surprise! I was thumbing a through the local "Mint" Flagler advertisement magazine and came upon an ad for Los Amigos. My Mom & I thought we would give it a try, as the other Mexican restaurants we have eaten at we're just. Nothing to brag about. We walked into a friendly VERY clean atmosphere and we're delighted with the many launch item choices , at just $5.99 each! The salsa came and it was evident it was fresh..not from a can,...We each chose a different menu item and again, it was obvious all the food was freshly made. The waitress asked if we were ok with pulled beef, as they do jot use ground beef...Wow..delicious. Our waitress also introduced us to the owner/manager "Murphy".. .. A very nice man that knew how to make great food from scratch..he told us nothing comes out of a can here...Anyway, I would highly recommend giving this place a try. next time We will try the Cuban side of the menu. Also..Restrooms we're VERY Clean..

Greeted at the door with a smile, very clean and nicely decorated not overdone or hokey! Had happy hour Margarita's (way awesome!), loved the chips and salsa very fresh not heavily processed or watery. The entire meal was $40.00 and included a take out dish too. Perfect proportions including the appetizers, had the empanada's not soggy or greasy. We will come back here often.

Had dinner here tonight and it was quite good. Most of the menu is very standard of any Latin/Mexican restaurant with nothing really standing out. However, the food tasted good and was well cooked. Portion sized not bad and service OK. Overall a very reasonable experience but not anything unique or exciting.

I love the food here. Me and my best friend go every Tuesday. We walk in and sit, without asking (with the waitresses that know us) we have our drinks, chips, 2 salsa's, jalapeno, habanero sauce, and cheese dip, before we are even finished with looking at the menu.
The food is always great. The salsa is wonderful with fresh onion and cilantro (unlike at Salsa's which is gross). This is the only Mexican restaurant I go to.

It is always a pleasure to dine in our take out at Los Amigos. My husband and I have been enjoying their food for over 2 years. My favorite dish is the chimichanga with beef and my husband's favorite is the quesadilla with pork or beef.
The wait staff is friendly and helpful. We have brought guests to Los Amigos, one particular couple lived in Mexico for several years and they had all good things to say as well. My Husband and I will be visiting them again real soon.

My husband and I and our friends visiting us from California ate at Los Amigos last week. They asked if there was a Cuban restaurant and while we had never been to Los Amigos I remembered reading that they did have some Cuban entrees. I was nervous taking our friends to a place we had not been to before but it was perfect. Our friends each had a Cuban dinner which they claimed was excellent. I had a Ranchero Steak which was delicious and my husband had a burrito which he also said was very good.
Our server was very polite and courteous and our food and drinks came promptly. It was very slow in the restaurant but it was a Sunday, so hopefully it is not always like that. We will go back for sure.

Six of us had dinner there May 5th. Four of us were repeat customers, the other two were from out of town. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the margaritas were excellent. I had a Cuban steak with ham and cheese. Very very good. We will be returning very soon!

Both this restaurant and El Cancun Grill are better than Salsa's but are hidden away so easily overlooked. Los Amigos is much calmer and more relaxed and the food is very good. The girls serving are friendly and prices are reasonable. I like the atmosphere here and menu selection is a little more varied with the addition of the Cuban items.

We thought we would try the new Salsa's restaurant but it was too busy so in the mood for Mexican, we went down the road to Los Amigos. It was quiet so we got seated right away and had a nice and attentive server. Their menu has all the usual Mexican type of foods plus some more Cuban inspired ones. For an appetizer we added guacamole to our chips which was good. For mains I had enchiladas and my wife had chili rellenos and we both liked our meals very much. We found Los Amigos to be a nice relaxing restaurant with good food at good prices.
