Review of Cinco de Mayo by Valerie from Palm Coast
The service at Cinco de Mayo is very good and it has a nice atmosphere. The food is tasty and portion sizes are generous. The menu has so much to choose from including some good value lunch specials and combo meals. My favorite drink here is the Mexican Mule and my wife loves their Margaritas.

Last time going there. They advertise $4.99 margaritas out front, it says nothing about Happy Hour. When the bill comes they are $6.99…. Not big…small size. When we asked were told only at Happy Hour… should be advertised as such. I ordered a burrito… nothing special, lacking in Flavor. Tried to like this place… but naw. 3 strikes… you’re out. Won’t go back. Should’ve known better when the place was empty. Lesson learned.

Service was slow even though there were only a few other tables occupied, plus they have upcharges you have to be careful of. I asked for some cilantro and it was on the bill!!! But the food was tasty and looked good too. Margaritas were typical mix type and was told there is no actual bartender, or at least not working that day. Overall the food was reasonable but I like the other Mexican restaurants in Flagler better.

We love coming to Cinco de Mayo on Tuesday, for our date night. Jasmine has gotten to know us as regulars. We are her regulars! She is so sweet. The food is so yummy and always serve with a sweet smile and kind word.
Highlight of visit: Jasmine is so sweet, very efficient and friendly. We always request her table.

We have now been here at least a dozen times and find it to be absolutely fabulous. My husband and I were born and raised in Southern California and are well aware of authentic Mexican food and this place is that, authentic. You will not be disappointed.
Highlight of visit: House Margaritas are excellent and their Queso with chips, outstanding. The Mexican tacos are delicious and there are there types. I’ve had all three and the only problem is I can’t decide which is my favorite!

Our server was really cool and very attentive, and we were impressed with the food. From the chips & salsa to the enchiladas and mahi tacos, everything was delicious. Margaritas hit the spot and they have a good atmosphere and decor.

Passed by this place many times and finally went in today... It's much nicer inside than I thought it would be and the service was very friendly and welcoming. The menu is large with all the usual items on it and I ordered a burrito and was surprised it came with fries which I changed out for rice. The burrito could have done with some more flavor, but the filling was plentiful and everything tasted freshly made. Good salsa and chips and my son liked his tacos.

We went when it first opened and wasn't very impressed but visited again last night and it was so much better. Customer service couldn't have been better and the food all tasted wonderful. Even the Margs 🍸had improved and were fantastic. The Carne Asada Burrito 🌯 and Shrimp Chimichanga 🦐were delish!! Great atmosphere but parking 🚗 was a challenge.

Promptly greeted and seated, tried some salsa and chips with a couple of tacos. Medium -small size tacos with not much lettuce- chicken, was really good though. Will try asking for more next time.
Highlight of visit: Anna was a great customer service person - will try again.

We had good service and the atmosphere was cool, and the food was quite good, but it definitely needs more seasonings as the flavors are really subtle. I will say that the Enchiladas de mole was very good, and I like this place goes more for the traditional style of food instead of the modern one most Mexican restaurants seem to be adopting lately.

Food was not up to the standards of other local Mexican restaurant s in the area. Server was very sweet but not a good listener. Husband ordered small beer and she brought a large. I asked for shrimp tacos with spicy sauce on side. Beans and rice were cold, husband never got the sour cream he requested and we had to ask for it be removed from the bill. What can I say was warned by friends but had to try it. Good luck to this owner. He needs it!
Highlight of visit: No

While our server was really good and worked hard, the food was disappointing. It wasn't bad just but it just seemed very dumbed down for Americans. The Shrimp Tacos were tasteless and watery, and nothing like I've had before, and the Mexicano Burrito had dry pork and bland rice.
I also felt offended by their lesson on pronouncing their dishes on the menu like "Bu-ree-tohs" and "Tah-kohs" - seriously? How dumb and sheltered do they think we are? I will say that the Sangria was good, we liked the Churros, and the decor is cool.

No good. Food not hot. Not flavorful. Shrimp tacos were terrible. The burrito we had months ago when we first tried it were so bland. Decided to try it one more time and just NO. Reminds me of Salsa's. Too bad Dahlias closed. Sorry. Won't be returning.

We thought the food was about average but the drinks were good and quite strong. Staff were OK and it has a lively vibe. They need to crank up the flavors more to make it taste better.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, the service was ok but the food was horrible I can make better Mexican food than this place. The server did not even offer to take anything off the bill even when we only ate 2 bites and I would rather go to Dalia's even before they closed. If you want good Mexican food do not go here, thank goodness for microwaves or the food would be even worse.

Not too bad but was hoping for better!! It took a while to get greeted and was seated at a booth that needed its seats cleaned. Big menu and the portions were big too, but the food didn't have a whole lot of flavor. It tasted like everything was tamed down for Americans. They don't need to be scared of using more spice and flavorings. Our server was OK but forgetful. It's probably a good spot for a quick and inexpensive combo lunch but I would come again for a family dinner.

This was probably the worst Mexican meal I’ve ever had. I ordered #15. Enchilada, tamale and burrito. Beef in soft tortillas. There was lots of ground beef but it was bland, swear there was no seasoning of the meat. The tortillas had the consistency of a limp lasagna pasta. The burrito had no filling like beans or rice just the bland meat. They came all on the plate touching one another with a red sauce making it difficult to distinguish one from the other. The tamale was just a wet mass of corn flour.

Food here is good but I was expecting something more... flavors are subtle and just need turning up a couple of notches. The drinks were very sweet. It is a nice place inside and our server was awesome.

We always loved the food and Dahlia and since they closed we haven't found better. The food here is good but have had a couple of duds including the salsa and guacamole which are tasteless. They also have some of Dahlia's servers working here but although the service is good they don't seem to have the same enthusiasm. I keep hoping they will find their groove and things will improve.

Great guy serving with lots of energy and personality and was excellent with our kids. The menu is typical of most Mexican restaurants with Americanized versions of classic dishes, but who cares as it tasted great! More food than we could eat in one go and the kids loved their child's plates. Great vibes inside and patio area out front for the more brave.
Highlight of visit: The Burritos and Enchiladas were excellent.
