Review of Coco's Caribbean by Johnny Ramos from Port St. Lucie
Something different from the usual Flagler Beach restaurants and I quite liked it. The food is not exactly attractive but very flavorful and the restaurants interior is colorful and lively. Service was good and live music entertaining. Overall a good experience.

I actually enjoyed my meal here. The menu has all the traditional dishes of PR and our food tasted quite good. It would of been nice to see something more creative on the menu though as there's not enough variety on there to have me coming back too often. Server was very pleasant but the lighting could be toned down a bit! It was like eating in a showroom! Music was good.

My family and I came upon Coco's by chance and Wow what an experience. The food was flavorful and fresh, the staff was warm and friendly. Truly the taste of the Caribbean. Definitely a must visit in Flagler.
Highlight of visit: Chruuasco Grilled Skirt Steak

I thought the restaurant looked great with all the murals on the walls of Puerto Rico.
I thought the food was excellent. The Cuban sandwich was good but the Plantain sandwich was fantastic. Never had a sandwich made of platanos before.

Unprofessional kitchen crew and management. Waited almost 2 hours for our food because apparently the chef had a hurt hand. Lame excuse. Our server was also the bartender doing both jobs, believe her name was Wendy and she was the only one who seemed to have any common sense and sympathy for our horrible experience. Owner is a joke. Food was cold and below average. Will not return and will tell our friends not to even bother trying it out.
Highlight of visit: Wendy was wonderful.

Last night, around 6PM, five of went there and were thoroughly disgusted with the entire experience. Besides us, there was one couple in their huge dining room so, let's say it was not busy. Our server was on the spot and took our drink order. So far, so good, but went downhill from there. After 10 minutes, we wondered where our drinks were and I overheard the server give the bartender our order then! Time went on and one of us ordered a beef dish, and a few minutes went by and then we were told that they were out of that dish. I still can't believe it, but we waited for OVER one hour for our food to arrive. My Caribbean pork dish was cold and so were others', but no one wanted to say anything and delay the ordeal any longer. I could not imagine what it would have been like if it was busy. We do support local restaurants, but I'm sorry to say that this one won't be around for long.

Where can we start... waited 2 hrs for our food. Ordered some fish that was given to us raw and smelled rotten. Told the waitress and she got the owner who was very rude and loud and offered us a 10% discount. The owner asked us to go outside to talk to them and when we said we where going to let everybody know that their food was horrible. One of the owners started cursing and abusing us. So the police were called and they showed them the cameras for the alleged abuse. The police laughed... The server was the only decent one in there. She even cried she was so embarrassed.
Highlight of visit: They get half star becuase the waitress was ok

The worst place in Flagler Beach. Don't even waste your time or money!
My girlfriend (of PR decent) loves live salsa music and we both love Latin food. She had been asking go to Cocos for weeks, after their recent opening. We went last night a little before 8 since a live salsa band was performing there at 9. We were seated quickly, that was the only good thing of the night. Menu was printed on paper with a printer that lacked toner. The selection on the menu was very limited with 3 appetizers, 3 salads, 1 soup, 4 dinner entrees. Fine I said, new place, limited menu, must be focusing on providing a good specialty meal. Over 15-20 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order (no iced water served either). Asked about a drink menu, I wanted a Caribbean style rum drink, gf wanted a simple mojito. I ordered a rum and coke until they could find a drink menu. Mojito served with a bunch of whole mint leaves at the bottom, with all the mixers off ratio. Sent it back and ordered more mediocre rum and cokes since obviously the bartender was not a mixologist. Ordered an appetizer and main course simultaneously since I was observing meals coming out of the kitchen sporadically, tables being served partially, and some being sent back. Band started at 9 and the music was good. At 9:30, an hour and a half after arriving, the appetizer (plantains with pulled pork) came out with my gf's meal of (shrimp and garlic sauce). My meal, salmon plank NEVER came out of the kitchen. At this point, I was livid, and we had lost our appetites. Spoke to the manager about the WORST SERVICE I had EVER experienced, paid for my drinks and left. NEVER GOING BACK!!! We had really hoped we would find a place to enjoy good food and Latin music. NOT HERE!
Highlight of visit: ONLY THE MUSIC, stay away.

We were there one week after opening, had an empanada that was good, the Cuban was OK, the pickle should be sliced thin but were full pickle “spears” which were a tad overwhelming. Will definitely try again after the full menu is introduced.
I will say that it already seemed as if the bar area is overtaken by “locals” who flip flop from Golden Lion and were quite loud. In fact after going to GL after visiting this place definitely saw the same “loud crew”
I wish them the best, the decor is great.
