If you get here when the food in the trays is fresh it’s very good. Good flavors and tastes authentic. Never eaten in but it looks ok and the service is fine.

I love Jamaican and Caribbean food so I was excited to discover Sylvains. Their menu has all the usual dishes and the lady serving was happy to recommend, and we went with lunch specials of the Chicken Curry and the Jerk Chicken. Both came with rice and a side and I chose the Cabbage and Carrots. I also got a Fish Patty and a Beef Patty to go. The Chicken Curry was tasty but I thought the gravy was a little 'thin', and my friend really liked the Jerk Chicken. The sides were good and I liked their rice. I heated the pattys up later at home and they were very good.

The jerk pork lunch special was tasty and the lady serving was nice and friendly. My workmate had the baked chicken meal and said it didn't have much flavor. Peas and rice were good but the plantains seemed a little old.

I highly recommend that you try their Caribbean buffet on Sunday It's not every Sunday and you need to check with them when it is, but they have a nice variety of authentic dishes and sides on offer. Plus it's also a great place to stop by anytime for some tasty Caribbean goodies.

This type of food is comfort food from home to me and I make it a point to stop here whenever I'm in town. I always get a warm greeting and it feels welcoming inside. The food tastes homemade and while not fancy it has some great flavors. Best Caribbean around for miles.

I really like their soups here, especially the beef. Very good Chicken Curry and good value as a lunch special with rice and peas and cabbage... Yum 😋 Nice folks too!

The owner gave a friendly welcome and explained the dishes. Had a chicken curry lunch with a patty and both were quite tasty. Rice was on the hard side and the chicken could have been warmer. Nice Caribbean theme inside.

I'm not sure what fish it was, maybe snapper, but I had a very good dish here served with the fish, rice and cabbage. The flavors were spot on and the sides went well with it. The owner was friendly and it's a very laid back place. The smell when you walk in is amazing!

I tried the Jerk Chicken and Oxtail and both had very good flavors but thought they were too salty, but the rice and patty needed more salt. But maybe that's just my taste buds lol and I did eat it all. Very nice lady serving and it's a cheery place inside. I'd come back to try their curry.

Good tasting Caribbean food with a variety of choices from different islands. I always get a jerk chicken in these places and this one was done just right... great flavor and the right amount of spice. The Ackee and saltfish was spot on and the sides were all perfect. Got a patty to go which tasted good but was probably better if I ate it fresh.

The lady serving made a recommendation and I ended up with a really tasty lunch. Never had this Caribbean food before and liked it a lot. She said they are Haitian but they make food from other Caribbean countries too like Jamaica. My chicken dish was a little spicy and had a very unique flavor that was very good... the chicken looked dry but was juicy inside. The rice and plantains went with it very well.

I visited on a whim as it smelled so good from the outside and was glad that I did. The lady serving was very friendly and the chef came out and explained some of the dishes. They are Haitian people and not Jamaican so I just had them put something together for me that was traditional to them that I could take home for the family. It seemed like a lot of food for what I paid, and it was all very flavorful. The meats were tender and they had some very rich sauces. The family enjoyed everything and we will definitely be back for more soon.

My first visit here and will not be my last! They have a wide selection of Caribbean dishes and items that are not limited to just one country, but it does have a very Jamaican themed decor with their flag colors and Bob Marley. The lady serving was so nice and eagerly explained the dishes on the menu. I had the fish cakes with mango sour appetizer that was delicious and chose the beef stew as my main which I had with the rice and mac cheese, and everything was so tasty. It's also very affordable and you get plenty. You have to have a ginger beer with it too. I did like it here and they made me feel welcome and left very satisfied.

The lady serving was very helpful at helping this Caribbean food virgin decide what to order. I ended up with a Jerk Chicken lunch dish that had rice and plantains, plus I got some Beef Patty's. I really enjoyed the food, it had a great flavor with moist and tender chicken and nice and loose rice. I ate the patty's later which had got cold but they were very tasty too. I got the food to go but you can eat inside. Overall a good price for a quick tasty lunch.

A little dingy inside but the food was very tasty and the lady serving was nice. Had the curry chicken lunch special that came with rice and peas and a plantain side which all had good flavors and was good value for around $8! Many other things on the menu looked good and will try another day.

Their food was tasty but feel like it's tamed down for the American palate. Jerk chicken should be spicy and have more punch. Plantains were good though. Service is like cafeteria style and was kind of rushed. Little dingy inside.

This is a unique and flavorful experience of a locally owned and operated restaurant. I met the chef and was invited with no expectations.
The incredible smells coming from this kitchen smacked us in the face as soon as we opened the door. The waitstaff is so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and decorated in bright, cheerful colors. Unfortunately the plates of food was ate with such gusto I couldn’t even capture a picture. It’s beautifully as it was plated but it still wouldn’t do the flavors justice.
Let me assure you that it is ALL delicious, s as I keep going back to try more menu items but you just must to go try Sylvain’s out for yourself.
Highlight of visit: Beef Stew, Goat Curry, Jerk Chicken Wings, Jerk Pork.

I was in this strip mall and the smells coming from Sylvain's were so good I just had to try. Inside is bright and very colorful and staff quite friendly. I ordered a lunch to takeaway and when I got home and opened the container I was surprised how brown everything was... even the rice! With such a colorful theme I expected more colorful food lol But although it didn't look very nice it did taste good. First time having oxtail and it had a lot of flavor. This is not a place I'd order from often but once in a while would make a change.

Nothing fancy but food is very tasty. Curry Chicken and the Brown Stew are are both delicious and sides good too, but not very impressed with the patty's as they were hard, greasy and lacked flavor. The roti and rice were good and plantains addictive.
