My friends and I go out once a month and try different Restaurants. The "Blue" really needs some sprucing up. It's dated and not very pleasant atmosphere. But.. I ordered a Filet mignon. It was delicious. Done just the way I love it. My friend also ordered the same thing. She thought it was delicious also. Actually all the meals were great. Service excellent. But the atmosphere not so good. We were lucky to get on the pouch. Looking inside looked drab. It was old and not kept up. Prices could be a little lower. Prices did not fit the atmosphere. The Chef had to be good as everything came out great. It's just not the atmosphere I would brag about.

My late husband and I tried for years to get in to the Blue. They were always so crowded we were turned away time and again. Today (eleven years after my husband passed away) my grand daughter and I made a special trip to Flagler Beach to enjoy dinner at the Blue. They are no longer open for lunch so we arrived as they opened (4 p.m.). We were the only diners and opted to dine inside. That was our mistake---we should have chosen the porch with a light ocean breeze and unobstructed view of the ocean---thus the 3 star rating for atmosphere. We began our meal with the calamari. Light and delicious! Only rings of the body were used, no tentacles. My grand daughter enjoyed the stuffed chicken breasts with the Caesar salad, smashed potatoes and sautéed mixed vegetables. She thought it divine! The chicken was tender and very tasty. The vegetables were delicious and not overcooked but not entirely crisp. The bread was crispy on the outside and oh, so warm and soft on the inside! I enjoyed a house salad with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing followed by the rib eye steak cooked medium rare with the smashed potatoes and sautéed mixed vegetables. The steak was melt in the mouth good! The service was superb, perfectly timed. Each course was brought out in a timely manner without rushing us through the prior course. Servers were very cheerful and attentive. Our first experience was delightful. The only downside that will delay our return is the price. Not that it is crazy high but on a fixed and limited income we were able to enjoy the Blue tonight with a gift certificate allowing us to dine like royalty while staying within our entertainment budget. Without that discount the prices are out of our range and unless another gift certificate comes our way, we won't be able to enjoy the Blue again any time soon. On another note, this site needs to update the restaurant information. Blue is no longer open for lunch. They are open at 4 p.m. seven days a week for dinner only.

My husband and I just had lunch at Blue today for the 1st time in about 5 yrs. Was so very disappointed with the food. I had the grilled portabella mushrooms and eggplant. Had no taboulie so had assorted veggies (which by the way very good)....Was told I would have rice and veggies as a base. My husband had the pecan caramelized salad with chicken. The chicken was extremely tasteless and dry. The bread that was served with this salad was so hard you could put a hole through the wall. The waitress saw him struggling to cut into the bread and she brought another role (which by the way was a dinner role instead of the whole wheat role served first). He is just now complaining about how bloated his stomach is from eating this salad. We will probably not go again. Oh, by the way, I had a glass of Chardonnay wine and the price was $1 more than anywhere on the beach.

Blue, oh, Blue. My friends come from NY and NJ and insist on coming to Blue. Their food is excellent and their wait staff is the best in Flagler County. They absolutely have the best burgers in Flagler county. Their blackened scallop salad cannot be compared. Always ask what the special of the day is. Dinner is a little more upscale but excellent.
Blue is absolutely my favorite choice with my out-of-town visitors. Kelly, the owner, comes over to make sure everything is OK. They get my five star rating! It amazes me how many people I have introduced to Blue -- they weren't aware of it. This is a restaurant you don't want to pass up. Enjoy and embrace it!

If you enjoy a wine and beer bar, sitting on $5 plastic chairs from Walmart, with a very limited ocean view, and eating mediocre food with fair service; this is the restaurant for you! We have tried eating there 4 times and each time sent food back and was disappointed. Examples: Lobster Bisque was runny and covered with black pepper (this dish should have a very delicate flavor); Blu Steak was too salty to eat and undercooked (I ordered Medium and it came out Rare). Never again!

I just took two friends, from Chicago, to lunch and never had to think about where to go...Blue is the best! We had the Grilled Chicken sandwich, Crab Cake sandwich and the Cobb Salad, everyone thought theirs was the best! Can't wait to go back!

The food is amazing! I went there the other night and was so surprised by the quality of the food. The food is 5 star quality. The only draw back is its very dark and a little dingy inside. My advice is to focus on the food and your guests, you will love it.

We don't dine out as much as we used to so when we do hope to make it specials. We chose Blue from past experience 3 or 4 years ago and glad we did. We thought the restaurant itself is looking a little tired but our server was a breath of fresh air and the food shone. Prices were on the high side but still worth every penny. The bisque is still the very best and Blue remains one of our favorites.

Love the wasabi crusted oysters and fish tacos. Kelli the hostess was very friendly and Troy the chef has been impeccable.

Well, we had said never again due to several bad experiences after some really nice experiences early on, but this was not so good. We waited and waited and waited and the steaks were over done and the service slow. Could have been due all the tourists but still, they should know how to accommodate it all. So, we're done! Maybe next year if the restaurant is still there, maybe we'll give it a go again. Nice view, if you get a seat that faces east, mediocre food, slow service and not worth the money.

I've been here numerous times and I have never had a bad experience, ever! The food is always GREAT and the staff are awesome! One of my favorite places to eat at in Palm Coast/Flagler Beach. I highly recommend Blue! My favorite is their lunch.. the crab cakes are extremely good, not made with a bunch of fillers! The lobster Bisque is tasty as well.

Do go when chef Gary is there. Stopped going for a couple of months due to 2 prior visits, food was not up to par, theservice sucked..servers stood around with backs to patrons and Gary was out of town.
Gave it another try today and everything was as it was in days of old. Went around 2:45pm..chef Gary was there, and the place was not that busy. Even though he did not do all of the cooking, his presence seemed to make a difference. When they are busy, waiting can be long, not only to get in, but to get served.
I used to like the mushroom ravioli, but the taste has changed and I do not order any longer. My husband had the double pork chop ( usually a dinner item, but chef Gary ok'd having for lunch. Just perfect! I had the Caesar salad ( superb!) and chicken quesadilla's, also great! Lobster bisque is to die for! Burgers are also very good. Did not feel like iced tea and at the server's suggestion, tried the Arnold Palmer ( 1/2 unsweetened ice tea and 1/2 lemonade. Enjoyed it very much.

I had the shrimp and scallops - shrimp was tough and scallops passable. Salad was great and the bread - wine was very good - table inside the parlor dining area with antiques all around - would not recommend the food as my guests (5) not that happy with their food either.

Every year when I visit the area we make it a point to stop at Blue and this year is no exception. Our recent visit was the first time since last summer and we found it to be almost the same experience which was good. No recognizable menu changes and no new items offered, but everything we had was very good. The restaurant is starting to look a little weathered but still holds much of its charm. Our food was cooked and served as expected and was very tasty. My scallops were especially good and the bisque is still to die for. This is a main stay of the Flagler Beach dining scene and I hope it remains that way for many more years.

Food is fair, a little pricey for the condition and atmosphere. Price would be fine for an upscale restaurant. Do not like old houses or hotels. Have been a few times with friends because they like it. Service is usually good.

Went to another restaurant after seeing Harry Potter, but did not get waited on, so went to Blue. We need to go there more often. We sat on the porch, Jenny/waitress was great. Food was excellent. And the Lobster Bisque is the best anywhere, and we have tried many. I had scallops, mmmm good. Salads were excellent. And the view is to die for.

Went with friend for lunch and we both very much enjoyed it. Our sandwiches were delicious and the fries particularly good. Server was good but she seemed stretched between many tables. Atmosphere outside was pleasant although a little cramped but we loved seeing the ocean. The dinner menu has many items that sounded good and we'd like to try.

We have been patronizing this restaurant for more than 10 years and it's food is and has been so very wonderful..consistently excellent..both lunch and dinner. Lobster bisque is to die for!
Casual atmosphere. You can dine on the side porch or air-conditioned inside. Must see the eclectic back room with all of the antiques, old toys and memorabilia. It's fun place to browse.
Price range was for lunch..dinner averages from $15-$25 per person.
