This used to be my favorite place for Chinese food. When my daughter visited with her two children we went there about 1:15 PM and found the food to be leftover with very little refilled from the kitchen. I also found the glasses and dishes not so clean. I'm done with the buffets and the cold food.

This is only the second review I have ever written, but we were so disappointed on our last visit, I felt I must warn other would-be-customers. Lucky Buffet was our favorite for the 5 years we have lived here! We heard many complaints, but we always countered them and recommended the place. Four weeks ago we parked and noticed how few cars were in the lot. Suspicious, I told my Wife and Daughter that I wanted to check the crab legs and oysters before being seated. There was very little food in that usually well-stocked counter. The girl assured me it would be refilled right away. We were seated and after some 10 minutes went to the buffet. Now, there were only 3 small crab clusters. I could hear 2 women talking to a man that appeared to be the owner or manager, and they were inquiring about the lack of seafood too! I joined in and he said take what's there. I said that if I took that little bit, that there would be none for the others. He insisted on taking what was there and I said if they don't refill I was going to leave. The 2 women said they would also leave. He said GO, GO, do not eat here. I asked if he would be happy to lose 5 customers and again told us to leave. All of us went to Grand Hong Kong and it was great. I have seen less and less cars at Lucky's lately. I mentioned this to a friend and she said that they went in an hour before closing and many pans were empty and pans were combined others and scraped the remainder together to make it look like more. They were really disappointed and likewise, will not return. They pointed out that outside the rear kitchen door, that cloth towels are placed on the bushes to dry and reuse. I'm sure that is a health violation.

I eat there weekly, sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner and at least once a week for carry-out. I have never found anything dirty or lacking in good taste. Without a doubt the best buffet in Palm Coast or St. Augustine area.

This was our favorite Chinese place but for the past 3 times in the last month. We visited for take-out from their buffet, but it was mostly empty and what was not empty, seemed to of been sitting there for some time. Very disappointed because like I said it used to be our favorite place. Last time we just threw the to-go containers at the register and told the person working there that it was the last time for us because everything was empty. She didn't like what I said to her but was too busy talking on her cell phone. This place must be under new ownership or they must be suffering due to competition. Now we have to find another Chinese place but I doubt it would be as good as this place was.

I have eaten at many Chinese Buffet's and they are what they are and this one is good. I was in last Friday and all was full all was fresh. I will be back in the next few weeks and let you know if it is all still good. Great people Great Service.

I completely agree with the review of 9/6/2008... This was our favorite place for years but tonight it was not good. Empty trays, food was old, dessert empty, etc. We arrived at 5pm. Had to ask for ice cream as all 4 containers were empty. We will now find a better place to go next time.

I used to eat here often but the last 2 times I went the food was horrible. It tasted like it had been sitting there all day. No one was around stirring it up or putting fresh food out. Cold and slimy Chinese is never good. The place has gotten worse over the years.

We love the Lucky Buffet. For this price, you can't beat it. There's a great variety and I've never had anything that wasn't warm or cooked properly. Everything is tasty.

I concur with the others. Lucky's used to be good but has gone down hill over the past year. The food is not as good and the place is often messy. Service is usually pretty good though.

I've seen a decline here too. The food seems of lesser quality and the buffet and dining areas are very messy with spilt food going unpicked-up.

This place is not good at all. Food wasn't hot and we had to get up and tell the ladies that the food as COLD! I was not pleased with this place. And it seemed very run down. My wife says that was her first and last time.

I have been a customer since they opened. I must say they have improved over time. Restaurant is clean, does not smell. Nice variety of food. Sushi are great. Food is always hot and fresh.

This place has declined to the point where it is no longer worth visiting. On my last visit the buffet was a complete mess. It was dirty and unappetizing. Many of the hot food trays were empty or just had a few old bits at the bottom and the sushi bar only had about six pieces left. The spoons and ladles were all sticky and the floor slippery. I've noticed different management/ownership lately so I assume that is the problem. Another one time reasonable restaurant gone to waste!

The service and food were awful. Our waitress had attitude problems and the place was dirty. Sushi didn't taste right. This used to be great buffet, but what happened? I don't think I'll go there again.

This used to be a very good buffet but the quality, cleanliness and service has declined. I think it may of changed hands but it still ha steh same items on the buffet, they're just no longer as flavorful. It's still better than Marco Polo's but that doesn't say much.

I agree with others that there has been a definite decline in the quality of food at Lucky's. Service remains quite friendly and efficient, but the food items have become very disappointing and prices are way up there. It's a real shame because we used to enjoy Lucky's and Marco Polo's is no better either.

When Lucky Buffet opened it was the better of the two Asian buffets in town. Now I cannot even waste my money there. I went on Easter Sunday with my family. The sushi quality has declined considerably. The prices have gone way up too, it cost over twenty dollars for just me and my son. I got the crab legs because usually they are excellent. I don't know what happened this time but they were really cold. I ended up only being able to eat some of their always great green beans and their okay crab in mayo. Everything else was below par. I expect better. I do not think I will go again until I see the reviews get better.
