We had lunch at the bar and had excellent service. The young lady serving was energetic and bouncing around everyone, making sure we had all we needed.... read more!
Review of Cantina Louie by Josie from Palm Coast
Very impressed with the decor and atmosphere and probably the best in Palm Coast. Server was really cool with nothing too much bother for her. The menu is quite large and we ordered a range of street food items and specialty tacos together with some great sounding margaritas. We loved all of the food and drank way too many cocktails :-) Really liked his place and will tell everyone to try it here.

I have to agree with the other reviewers that this is not the best flavored or authentic Mexican cuisine, but it is good as 'American style' and I really like the vibes and service you get here. They make great drinks and our servers have all been fantastic. A fun and lively restaurant which is something lacking in most of the other places around here, Mexican or not!

I'm sorry but I just get the appeal. I understand that it's a really cool atmosphere and staff were good, but ultimately I go to a restaurant for its food, which I find to be quite plain and flavorless here. Everything reads great on the menu but when it arrives it just doesn't deliver on the promises. I will say though that the drinks are very good and they make a good guacamole. If you're looking for great Mexican food, this is sadly not the place, but it is good for drinks and bites in a fun atmosphere.

Ordered a big selection of their specialty tacos and not a bad one among them! Tried some of their drinks too and was quite impressed. The decor creates a fun and lively atmosphere and the service was very helpful and attentive. This is an entertaining place with great food and drinks and something we really needed in Palm Coast.

This is very Americanized Mexican food with mild flavors and common ingredients. But it's done very well and if you go for the restaurant's ambiance and not expecting a real Mexican meal but fun food, good service, and interesting drinks, then you'll definitely enjoy the experience.

Building atmosphere is very nice and the menu has a good variety. However, I found the food to be bland and a bit overpriced for the portion size. Also, they were seating customers back to back all in one area even though most of the dining room was empty. Makes me wonder if they are using any precautions when preparing the food. I will not return.

Fresh & delicious. Not your everyday Mexican restaurant. Not your everyday taco either although you can get reg beef with lettuce tomato etc. Very cool place. Food matches the cool decor.
Highlight of visit: Chicken Relleno - OMG the chicken just melted in mouth along with spinach, cheese, tomato with onions. Best NEW dish I’ve had in a while.

Love the atmosphere and service was right on the mark. Great menu with some interesting choices but although the food looked great and was well presented, our party thought there really wasn't too much flavor. It's like everything just had a hint of seasoning and was not bold enough. Drinks were awesome though and we did have a good time there. Just wish they'd crank the flavoring up a couple of notches.

Great burritos, good selection of Margaritas, ice cold Coronas, and a fun vibe make this worth visiting. Service has not been consistent but overall a great restaurant to have here and we visit every week.

Waitresses were not wearing gloves - handling glasses poorly with bare hands. Had tacos and enchiladas - very bland and tasteless.

Finally had a chance to try Cantina Louie and a mixed experience. The atmosphere is lively and the decorations are very well done. There's a lot of spacing going on and I can imagine how much better it would be once the bar seating and tables can be closer together again. Our server was enthusiastic but seemed stretched over tables in different sections of the restaurant. They have a loaded menu of all your usual Mexican dished plus a good selections of specialty tacos and street foods. Our table of four ordered drinks and a selection of dishes. The drinks were okay and we all thought they were all very sweet and not very strong. The salsa and guacamole were good and server was happy to bring extra salsa. Our entrees had mixed reviews from all of us. First, this is very Americanized Mexican food and we all thought the flavors were not as bold as they could have been, but the tacos were excellent. The Chile Rellenos was the biggest let down which looked and tasted like it had been dropped and scooped back up. However, apart from the Chile Rellenos, we did enjoy it here just wish the flavors were stronger and drinks could be less sweet. Couldn't complain about our server and the atmosphere is awesome and we were also delighted that they do not allow smoking in the outside area.

Great Mexican street food and street art. Ordered a selection of their specialty and street tacos and all were excellent. Gauvaritas helped wash then down and tasted great. Churros not the best though! Service was kind of slow but friendly. Good fun though and reasonably priced.

This place is very popular with a packed parking lot and wait for a table. We sat outside and although it was hot the fans did a good enough job. Our server was very friendly and went the extra mile to help. The food is quite typical American Mex that on our table had a few hist and misses. The hits were the street food style tacos and the enchiladas. The big misses were the fajitas which had no seasoning or flavor at all, and the chile rellenos which were basically a molten mess. Drinks were very good and had good pour. We enjoyed our time here and although there was some misses it was all edible and prices reasonable. We just know what not to order next time.

Nice restaurant with great food and good service. If it stays this way I see that Salsa Joint closing its doors... you can only get by serving microwave food for so long.
Highlight of visit: Great menu and great service.

Impressive interior! Server was great. Guacamole and Queso dips were great a start. Cantina Fajitas were very good and server was happy to bring extra tortillas. Good happy hour with apps at half off and $3.99 margaritas. Little too crowded and close though which made me nervous, which is reason for 4 stars.
Highlight of visit: Cantina Fajitas which come with chicken, steak and shrimp/

Really enjoyed here! The decor is beautiful and the staff are friendly and attentive. Food was very good especially the Hot Surfer Chick and Ceviche tacos. The sangria was incredible and save room for churros. All so good!
Highlight of visit: Hot Surfer Chick Tacos - I could eat 10 LOL

5 stars all the way! These guys created an amazing dining experience from an old Pizza Hut. Everything was awesome from the staff to the food and the drinks! Hope they can maintain this standard and that other restaurants learn from Cantina Louie on how a restaurant should run. Bravo!
