Food was just bad. Got a tri tip sandwich, cold and full of fat. My wife had the Johny cake and chicken. Chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil. Johny cake was rock hard. Women bartender was very nice. Guy named Bob stood talking business in front of customers while he drank his Blue Moon.

My husband and I went to Three Dogs Grille this evening for the first time. We were the youngest people in there. I'd say the restaurant attracts 60yrs & up. But that wasn't the problem or problems........ The menu didn't look overly inviting but we stayed. I ordered a steak dinner and my husband a porkchop dinner. Once our dinner arrived my husbands was hot and mine was ice cold. So cold that I stuck my fingers in it and didn't flinch. Not even a tad warm! The porkchops were piping hot. Our waiter took my meal back and supposedly they prepared me a new meal. 15 mins later my new plate come out and boy the risotto was piping hot and steam coming off the top. I was ready to dig in and guess what? Yes, the steak was ice cold again! The waiter could only apologize. At this point my he offered me yet another meal. Why would I go for a 3rd if my husband was all ready done eating! No manager came out to see us or anything. Granted I was not charged for my meal but as for trying to keep customers - well Three Dogs blew that! As for our final bill...... My husband got to enjoy a $35 meal all to himself as I sat waiting for hot food. Never again I will go there nor would I ever refer a single soul.

Thank you. We really needed something in Palm Coast for a good meal reasonably priced and some music. It is long overdue. I get tired to driving to Ormond or Daytona when I live in Palm Coast

Keep up the good work and look for more entertainment this and your great menu and quality service will take you a long way.

Stay on top of this. The Restaurant business is very volatile.

    Best wishes, Palm Coast resident.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Our server (Mario) was very professional and attentive. Just as important, our food was excellent. I ordered the fish and chip, and my wife ordered the burger. Both were nicely prepared and very tasty. We will be back.

Tried this restaurant for the first time last night, well not known to us there was some type of group gathering and there seemed to be confusion everywhere. If a place wants to hold a group function they should have a separate room to put it. You could not hear yourself talk over all the people just standing around in the aisles and by tables, we ordered drinks, took 15 minutes to get acknowledged, and then after another ten minutes no one came back to place our order. I left money on the table and walked out. Our first time there will definitely be our last, there are many places to eat in Palm Coast and this is not one of them! Not sure how they get such great reviews, must be the early afternoon crowd! I will definitely spread the word on my experience at this place and hope the word is understood. I could on about how incredibly horrible this experience was but I hope it speaks for itself.

Food was good but we had to wait for someone to take our drink order. Finally the bar tender came over and did just that and sent over a waitress. Other than that, it is was good!!

We visited this restaurant for the first time last night and were pleasantly surprised. At 6pm on a Friday the place was beginning to fill up and by 7 it was almost at capacity. Our server was very attentive, the atmosphere was friendly (sort of like Cheers) with many people smiling, talking and seemingly having a good time. The food was very good and somewhat different from what we expected since it has an English/Australian flare. The waitress said the owners wanted something that other restaurants in Palm Coast don't offer although some of the menu items were standard fare. Prices weren't bad and were in the $9-$20 range and no I wouldn't expect them to offer a discount because I didn't want fries!. Will definitely return

Went there last night, 1/11,with my daughter and we had the best time there. The service was great, the food fabulous and the atmosphere was wonderful. There was live music last night that was so enjoyable, a gentleman played soft jazz! beautiful music that you are able to talk to those in your party over. We ordered from the Chef's special entree's list and we each had a mixed drink and the bill for the high end food that we ate was only $49.22 not counting the tip.The place was packed and had been all day we were told by the head Chef Bob who visited our table.

We will most certainly go back again, this was our first visit there.

I can see what they're trying to do here and it does seem like a nice fit into Palm Coast. We sat in the bar area for drinks and some food. The menu has some interesting items on it and not sure if all work, plus I'd like to see some alternative selections especially for the fries cooked in lard. But our sandwiches were good although a little pricey. Our server was very nice but was slow even though it was not busy. We liked the atmosphere a lot and will go back.

Visited this restaurant with my husband completely at random. We were pleasantly surprised by the good food and fantastic service. I had the johnnycake and chicken "sandwich" and my husband had the fried cod poboy and fries, both excellent, but the star of the meal was the bread pudding.

Pros: tasty original food, great service.
Cons: portions a bit too large, menu so eclectic that it's hard to divine a theme.

Went there for the third time last evening... had a wonderful meal and they finally are offering more healthy selections. Their "specials" menu included two choices of fresh fish - mahi and salmon. I had the mahi which was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. You simply can not find another restaurant in the area where you can talk without competing with music and noise. This restaurant has it all... good food, good service and good atmosphere. My hubby had the pei mussels and the other couple we were with had the fish and chips. The soups are homemade and delicious and the caesar salad dressing is also homemade and very tasty. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to Palm Coast.

We ate at this restaurant Saturday evening. The menu offered an unusual mix, some with offensive names. Service was great. Palm Coast is a retirerment community and the prices on the menu did not lend themselves to that type of customer. We (a table of 7) ordered a mixed bag of items. The cod fish was excellent, though pricy. hamburgers were overpriced at $9. We ordered burgers without fries and were not offerred a reduction in the cost even though we don't care for french fried. If we wanted a fine dining experience and wanted to pay for such, we would have gone to LaPiazza in European Village. No matter how you qualify it this is still a neighborhood environment. When we tried to add a third table together with the other two , a snaky guy with a moustache stopped us and consequently one of our group had to juggle her plate between the two levels of the two tables which was difficult. Food was good. Experience and pricing were not. Will NOT be going back.

What a great little restaurant! I had heard good things about it, even though it's only 7 weeks old, but my husband was a little reluctant as we haven't had too much luck with non-chain restaurants in Palm Coast! However, we were both pleasantly surprised and well satisfied with the food (his fish and chips was light and crispy and my salad with sliced chicken was scrumptious). The dessert of Bananas Foster was not the flaming dish we expected, but an equally yummy sweet. That is has a full bar is also a wonderful plus. Prices are reasonable and service very attentive. We will go back....I hope they make it; we need more places like this. Quality all around.

If you drink enough, the food may taste "OK" but I'd stay away from anything with the duck confit which tastes like a cold chicken drumstick that has sat in the refrigerator for a week then was stripped from the bone; what taste there was was unpleasant to say the least. Try the buffalo balls which at least have some flavor.

Last night, after catching a performance at Matanzas High School, my husband and I were hoping for just a light dinner that wasn't necessarily a burger or pizza. We decided to try the new "Three Dogs Grille" that took over the spot long held by "The Meeting Place" in the Palm Harbor Plaza. What a wonderful surprise! Although, at first glance, the structure of the room might lead one to believe it's just a rehash of the old place, once a patron sits down at one of the tables and starts to look at the original art work that adorns the walls, and the little touches that say, "classy," it becomes obvious that this is not the same place as before.

The menu offers some interesting challenges as there were selections never before seen in our little town. A wide variety of fresh fish that is shipped in daily as well as unique choices in duck, beef, veal and seafood made it difficult to choose. How many places around here offer fresh trout in a blue crab sauce on the same menu with "bangers and mash" or venison? We decided to split an order of mussels, and owner came by to introduce himself and ask us how we'd like them prepared. Since we weren't sure, we just told him to use his discretion and a short time later we were presented with two bowls (they'd split them up for us) of PEI mussels with some delicious grilled focaccia bread to soak up the sauce. What we didn't know was that mine were prepared Fra Diablo style while my date's were in a Sambucco sauce. Both were fabulous. We are big mussels fans, having had them dozens of times in restaurants all over the country and these were as good as any we've ever had. We decided to split the trout and they separated that for us as well. It was served in a light sauce with chunks of blue crab on top. Incredible. We didn't have dessert this time, but there were several selections that we will certainly try next time we are there. There was a nice selection of wines and a great selection of beers, as well as the full bar on the other side of the restaurant. Finally, the service was perfect and the prices were reasonable. In the 16 years I've lived in Palm Coast, I don't think I've ever written a restaurant review. This one was worth the effort. They are closed on Sundays but open every other day for lunch and dinner. We are thrilled that there is finally a gourmet restaurant here in the heart of town!

Had a very late lunch at Three Dog Grille yesterday and we will be back, next time we will try dinner. Very different type of place, interesting menu. My husband had the Angus burger & fries. Roll was one of the best he's ever had, burger cooked perfect and oh so tasty. The fries were crispy and done to perfection. I tried the Johnny cakes and southern fried chicken tenders with honey butter. When the plates were placed in front of us we could not believe the size of what we got. I don't think my chicken was the size of any chicken tenders I have ever seen, but more the size of 1/2 a chicken cutlet. So moist and tender, crispy & so warm when it was presented I had to wait a few minutes before I ate. I feel the johnny cake was too big, and a bit tasteless but since it is the first time I've ever had one you can not go by my review.

Service was extremely attentive, even a little too attentive, but there was only one other couple eating at the bar while we were there. We left so satisfied and full we never had dinner. Please try this place, and let's keep them here in Palm Coast. Can't wait to return!

We have been away from Palm Coast for about 15 months and found some of the old restaurants no longer open and some new ones in their place. This is one of those! We saw the Meeting Place decline over the past few years to the extent that it was no longer a dining option for us. So we were interested in trying the new restaurant in its location and we were quite surprised.

The interior decor is much improved and is more inviting. Except for when we initially entered and waited to be greeted, service was attentive and friendly. We've been to gastro pubs back in Connecticut and the menu here borders very narrowly on those, but is not quite as adventurous, original or health conscious. However, the menu does offer something for almost everyone albeit those that are vegan or with cardiac issues. I opted for a duck focaccia sandwich that included smoked gouda and roasted beets which came together quite well. The duck was definitely overcooked and when tasted on it's own was dry and lacked flavor. My wife ordered fish and chips. The fish portions were a very flaky white fish and a good size and the batter was light and nice and crisp. The fries were disappointing but the tartare sauce was good.

In all, we see a lot of potential in Three Dogs Grille and with a little tweaking and attention on the kitchen end, they can go from quite good to excellent.
