A good choice for seafood. Our dinners were tasty and loved the clam chowder. Wish they didn't give sauces in cheap plastic takeout containers, we're in a sit down restaurant. Service was great and the atmosphere cozy and very nautical but feels a little dated. Good central location.

Loved the food and we had very friendly and attentive service. Best place we have eaten at for a long time. The Shrimp & Grits special was so good. The three of us cleaned our plates and emptied our glasses.

We sat in the bar section which we liked as it has a view although a lot of construction outside, I also think the bar had the best vibes of the restaurant. The bar lady was excellent as were our drinks. We found the breading on the clams very heavy and the sauce was salty, but everything was delicious. We're only in town for the holidays but would come here again on our next visit.

Great for classic fish and seafood dishes. Always get a great meal here. Staff are fantastic and it has a fun seaside atmosphere. Don't skip the cocktails or desserts 😋🸠We come every Friday and love it.

The area is a bit of a construction zone right now, so parking not so easy. They have a fun nautical theme going on inside here and the service is friendly. The food is good and my fish seemed fresh and a good sized portion. The flavor was fine but I think more seating was needed. On the sides too. I did enjoy it though and would visit again.

Visited for Father's Day and had a very good meal. The prime rib was excellent and the cobia was very tasty. Oysters were fresh and everything was cooked to perfection. We couldn't have had better service and the bar drinks completed the meal. This is a very nice restaurant in a great location.

We’ve been coming to The Anchor for years and its current setup of owners and staff is by far the best it’s been. Had the shrimp tacos last visit and they were amazing with a perfectly cooked shrimp 🤠and delicious mango salsa and citrus aioli 😋 They also do some fantastic martinis now as well… they Key Lime pie dessert is yummy .

The Anchor is our favorite place for seafood. We drive down at least twice a month for lunch and we find the food is consistent and always tasty. Seafood is well prepared and they have a good selection. Their sides and drinks are very good as well. Staff are the best and we like that it's an independent restaurant owned by locals.

We couldn't find fault in the food or service here at The Anchor on Saturday. The staff are tremendous and very friendly, and all of our dishes were delicious. I had a salmon special which was perfectly cooked and had a lovely sauce, and my husband had a platter that he loved. We also shared a key lime pie for dessert and enjoyed a delicious cocktail each. The decor has an old sea fairer theme and the staff make you feel right at home. We shall be back.

The Anchor's new roof and refresh looks great and they are very much in the holiday spirit right now, with a delicious Christmas cocktail menu and some warming dishes for this chilly weather. Their soups are really good and I had an amazing grouper special with a Grand Manier sauce that was divine. The salted caramel white Russsian cocktail was a big pleaser. Service is friendly and they have some good prices for the quality.

The Anchor has been around for a while, and we always enjoy it when we are in town. The food is delicious and dependable and the staff are very friendly and inviting. It's a bit of a rusty / weathered old building with a fishing / nautical theme inside and is only steps from the beach. One of a few restaurants on the A1A that we look forward to visiting when we return to Flagler Beach.

Review by Kerry, Palm Coast 1/31/20244.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
Food was tasty and server was nice, but the food was slow coming out. Luckily we weren't in a rush as dinner took a long time to get through. I do recommend the Surf and Turf and they have some good Coconut Shrimp. It was on the pricey side and service could do with improving, but overall quite a good experience.

We dine there once a week. The food is consistent and cooked to order fresh. ( not that packaged frozen nonsense) The staff is both friendly and courteous and the drink specials are creative and generous. We send all new residents to the anchor. The atmosphere is seaside corney but perfect. You can’t beat it!
Highlight of visit: We love getting Brian and Corina they have never steered me wrong when trying a new item.

The food here was so much better than I expected although the service needs to be friendlier and give more attention. I started with the Oysters which were fresh and tasted very good, and then for an entree I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese which was an amazing dish. Very flavorful, creamy, cheesy, and good sized lobster chunks. I also had an excellent Christmas style martini that was unique and delicious.
Highlight of visit: The Lobster Mac & Cheese may be a daily special, but if it's on the menu, I highly recommend it.

The coconut shrimp appetizer was good and I really liked the blackened mahi fish tacos. They also have a good selection of martinis and the pomegranate one was quite good. Service was OK but could be improved.

Review by Paige, Ormond Beach 7/6/20233.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
Nice enough inside and kind of quirky but I wasn't too impressed with the food and the service could definitely be improved. Our waitress was not very pleasant or attentive. The fish & chips had awful batter and the chips tasted stale. My son liked the scampi with linguine. Hopefully they had an off night.

Review by Louis, Palm Coast 4/30/20235.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
Fun nautical and fishing theme inside and our waitress was very nice. We found the food to be seasoned just right for us and everything we had was perfectly cooked. The Stuffed Flounder was very good and the grilled Mahi Mahi was moist and tasty. The mimosas were only $5! We enjoyed our lunch here and we'd like to come back.

Review by Andrew, Smyrna, TN 3/18/20234.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
The Anchor has a nice nautical theme inside and a casual atmosphere and the staff were friendly, but we felt rushed halfway through our meal as they started to close up and move chairs, and clean up, etc., around us while we were still eating! According to the closing time we still had nearly an hour! But the food was tasty although portions could be larger for the price. The jumbo scallops were not what I'd call jumbo! The crabcakes were very tasty.

Review by Brendan, Bunnell 1/11/20234.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
Wow prices are really going up! $32 for crabcakes and $36 for a grilled fillet! $14 for 6 shrimp appetizer! The food was good but just wasn't worth the cost. The service and atmosphere were ok but not for fine dining prices. Maybe I'm living in the past but the total cost here was way more than I'd expect to pay for a place like this. My ratings are based on the taste of the food service and didn't adjust for cost.

The Anchor in Flagler Beach offers a reliably tasty seafood experience with a menu that highlights classics like clam chowder, shrimp & grits, and daily specials such as grouper with Grand Marnier sauce or perfectly cooked salmon. Customers appreciate the fresh seafood, generous portions, and well-crafted cocktails including martinis and seasonal creations. Service consistently receives praise for its friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a comfortable dining experience. The interior features a nautical theme that some find charmingly weathered, though a few mention it feels a bit dated. The lively bar area is a favorite spot for its views and atmosphere. While minor notes include occasionally heavy breading and packaging of sauces, overall The Anchor delivers satisfying flavors at moderate prices in a convenient oceanfront setting.
