Review of Los Dos Potrillos by Grady from Palm Coast
This place has almost zero atmosphere but it does have some very good and really authentic food. They have some quite hardcore items on the menu and I recommend that you order only the traditional Mexican items and ignore Americanized dishes like the fajitas. The tacos and tamales are my favorites but they have many good choices. Just don't go expecting anything fancy.

I recommend this restaurant for the authentic food and definitely not for the ambiance! The food was really tasty but it feels like a construction site food hut inside with sparse decorations and very basic furniture. Get takeout as the food really is worth it.

Friendly lady serving but service slow from the kitchen - I think they're having staff shortages. The food tasted very authentic and was good. One of the pollo dishes lacked flavor but everything was very tasty. Liked the tortillas and the rice was very good. It's inexpensive and a good spot for lunch when in Bunnell.

Tacos were very authentic with home made corn tortillas and good alternative meats like beef tongue that were surprisingly delicious. It was full of Mexican workers eating there so that must say something.

As the other reviewers stated you get very authentic Mexican food here. It's rustic food and not all sauced and smothered in cheese like elsewhere. Not the best setting and service can be slow, but that helps make it feel real. Order plenty it's really delicious.

We only eat Mexican food here. My father grew up in Mexico City so I prefer authentic Mexican style not Americanized or TexMex. We are regulars so are always treated well. Always feel better about the food quality at a Mexican restaurant when there are actual Mexicans eating there and working there. We love the Chili Relenos (only cheese and poblano peppers which is the authentic way to make them) hone made corn tortillas, menudo soup and tamales on the weekend. Excellent salsa, chips and guacamole made to order the authentic way with chopped onions and tomatoes mixed with guacamole. We prefer our tacos traditional with only cilantro and onion but they do offer the TexMex way with cheese, sour cream etc. Everything good .

If you want the real deal this is the place you go. Forget the others in Palm Coast, they're so Americanized and this is true authentic Mexican food. Don't expect neon, sugar skulls and Frida Kahlo pictures here, just damn good food in a very humble setting. Inexpensive and delicious!!! I drive from New Smyrna Beach to eat here!

Nothing fancy but still the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Flagler County! Food is awesome and service very friendly. Good COVID precautions and appreciative staff. Great prices.

Lunch was delicious. Authentic tasting homemade Mexican food with no frills. Don't think you'll get Salsa's or Dahlia's type of Mexican here. Here you get the real deal and it's so much better. Enjoy my amigos.

Seriously good Mexican food! You don't get very good service and it's not the nicest restaurant you've been to, but the food is amazing! The tres leche desert is a great treat! Always love going here and often get to go on the way home from work.

If you like real authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. You won't get gringo food here. This is delicious food, with handmade tortillas, and fresh ingredients. It's clean inside but don't expect luxury. Prices are great value.

You want the real deal, this is it! It can get busy here and for good reason... this is really good authentic Mexican food. Not fancy but clean and the staff will make you feel welcome. Prices are excellent and expect to take time here at lunch as it does get busy. Love it!

For those of you who complaining that local Mexican restaurants are not authentic, you need to try Los Dos Potrillos. This is a simple no frills restaurant that serves very good authentic Mexican food. No pre-packaged garbage here just good home made... even the tortillas are made from scratch unlike the other Mexican places in the area. Go here for the food and not of the atmosphere as that has yet to be desired.
