Stampedes Restaurant and Bar UNCLAIMED

We thought we'd check this new place out. It's clean inside with a large dining area and a long bar. Only one other guy at the bar on his own at the time and we decided to also sit at the bar. The staff were friendly but we got the impression they didn't quite know what they were doing yet. Drinks were standard mixed type so don't expect any hand crafted cocktails. We just got some appetizers to snack on which were ok, but again I don't think much was home made. I think Stampedes is one of those places that doesn't know what it is, and tries to be something different depending on the time of day. They promote happy hour between 11am - 1pm which to me calls out to the day drinkers. I can imagine with a good crowd and music, and with all the games, it will be a fun spot at night, but as a daytime restaurant it's not really there.

Conflicting hours with Google, their Facebook and website all showing different opening times, so check before you drive all the way out there. It's located on some kind of campground in a big barn building. We did find the employees friendly and we got beers and a couple of good burgers. It looks like they have entertainment at night so we'll have to check that out.

Stampedes has the makings of a good sports bar type of place. It's got plenty of space with a fun theme including some games and pool tables, darts. etc. The food is not gourmet but good pub grub plus they do breakfasts if you are left over from the night before. The location is a little of the away but at least it's not in neighborhoods close to homes, so they can host events and music etc.

absolutely DISGUSTED with our breakfast experience at Stampedes this morning!! The owner is the most disrespectful 'man' I've met in a long time. We arrived at 9:15am empty parking lot, we had the whole thing to ourselves- we were so excited to try this new joint! We are a party of 10(6 adults 4 children and a baby) they sat us quickly and we got drinks quickly. (They were out of milk and no alcohol like mimosas until a bartender decides to show up.. !) There is only 5 breakfast choices, not complicated and we all knew what we wanted after a few minutes and our order was taken. The waitress was amazing, ZERO complaints towards her- none of this is her fault. I wish I was exaggerating when I tell you we waited 2 HOURS for food to start coming out. (Not one time did we see the manager to apologize or even try to turn it around at all) Don't forget we are the only customers there, with 5 breakfast choices.

Anyway, we didn't say a thing, instead we spent close to $50 if not more on the machines for our kids to stay occupied. obviously we were frustrated but we were patient!
Food starts coming (babies first.. and his biscuit was Rock hard! Which I gave to the waitress who wanted to tell the kitchen) and most plates are missing atleast 2 things.. potatoes and toast or sausage and bacon.. and 2 plates just never came out.. she put them back in and apologized not knowing what happened (clearly the kitchen staff) but then 2 more wrong plates come out and my husband and child are still waiting for their food. My daughter eventually just ate the wrong plate that came out and my husband never received his!

After everyone ate it was around 11:20 and I was over this place.

The waitress was clearly overwhelmed with the mess ups that had nothing to do with her, she's crying and apologizing and instead of her manager coming out to handle his business and help his employee he stayed back in the kitchen like a coward while WE comforted her to let her know it's NOT her fault!!! We asked her to get the manager at that time.
The way this man walked out and up to us, I just KNEW. I let my sister start because I was heated but the moment she put out her hand to shake it and introduce herself so that they can have a respectful conversation about things he really should want to know in order to keep his business running¸ he just looked at her with a smirk and refused to shake her hand. That's when I laughed and asked how many cooks were in the back and he stated 1 cook. I asked if they could read cause none of the orders are right and we are the only ones in this place so I'm just having a hard time understanding the problem which he came back with "I think you can't read the menu"I asked him where he's been for 2 hours while we've sat in his restaurant waiting to eat. He replied with "in my kitchen busy" I let his smirk and sarcastic responses to his only customers who have been extremely patient up until now get to me and things got loud. Where he then said "pay your tab and never come back"and walked away..
After I had them take off my 2 meals I never received (although that shit show should have been fully comped!!) I let him know he couldn't PAY ME to come back here. Another one bites the dust, that one won't be up much longer either and then onto the next.
What a morning!!

Highlight of visit: The waitress was at no fault at all. She wrote everything down and read it back to us. It's obvious the kitchen has massive issues.

I don't like to bash a new establishment, but unless the management adjusts its attitude and learns how to properly manage a restaurant, this place will not last a month! The food was awful, the server appeared untrained and didn't know what she was doing, upcharge on drinks and no soft drink refills, and games are not cheap! It's out the way for most people and you have to be somewhere very good and special to have customers come out to see you. So far this is everything but special.
