Best Night Ever! Went on St Patrick's Day. We weren't going to stop in for the reputation of the past was it was a bikers bar, dark and rude employees. We saw the ad that there were new owners so we gave it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised, the place looks inviting. As soon as we entered we were amazed by the size of the place, we were greeted by one of the owners who was gracious enough to seat us even without an reservation. the food was great, I had the corned beef and cabbage, amazing, my husband had the black and clue burger and it was out of this world, he is still talking about it. Perfection.
These new owners hit it on the head. Great entertainment. Our server was Heather, pleasant and attentive, a perfect evening. And to top it all off they had bagpipers. we recommend this place highly. Laura

One of my top 10 worst restaurant experiences ever! - (and I've been to Africa, Mexico, Middle East, and Asia and this is still one of the worst!)
1 1/2 hrs. to get drinks. 2 hrs. for the food to start trickling in (party of 6) - I finished my meal long before the last person was served.
Here's a partial list of what they ran out of for our table of 6: French Fries, Onion Rings, Potato Skins, Corona Light, Pickles.
We had to go foraging amongst neighboring diners to scrape up enough (almost empty) bottles of ketchup and mustard to use on the one order of french fries they had meted out to us.
Music way too loud to talk over... Bring your earplugs.
My Reuben was: two slices of greasy bread and 2-3 layers of corned beef ($8.95!!!)
PS. Question: Are hamburgers supposed to crunch when you bite into them? - Ours certainly did.
We did ask the server not to charge us for the food, just the drinks and tip - and she was OK with that - so, they get points for that!

The new owners made big changes! Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful Food! Wonderful People! I was at the Black Cloud when it was run by the old management about 3 years ago. We stayed away due to the all the dead animals on the walls, the food was awful, we had steak dinner, It was served with mashed potatoes and string beans. My steak was burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. I ordered it well done. Since it was all prepaid with the company we were with, there was nothing we could do. The bathrooms stunk and the place was just overall dirty.
We were invited by our friends to go out , two Friday's ago, to see a band they love. The changes made are like Night and Day! This time we had the Cheese Steak, a Chicken Wrap and Burgers. They were so good. The first thing we noticed were all the dead animals were taking down. The staff was friendly and inviting. So different from the last time we were there. We had a wonderful time and it was so much fun. We will be going back.

Visited on a Friday night for karaoke. Had a great time as we always do! Waitresses are very pleasant and attentive, food was good and place was very clean. BIG difference from over a year ago... It used to be really dark inside, had a dozen dead animals hanging on the walls and was dirty too. Much more pleasant atmosphere and experience. Have been coming back almost every week now knowing new owners have made such a big difference in this place. Congratulations to them and much luck in their new ownership.

We always stayed away from this place because of it's dark name and strange location thinking it was some kind of biker hangout, but after friends invited us there we were quite surprised. It is a lot warmer and welcoming than it's name suggests although it is very much a barn type atmosphere, which is kind of fun but just not for us. We had some good drinks but didn't find the menu too appealing which was mostly the usual burgers, club sandwiches and fish fry type entrees. Staff were good and happy hour prices were excellent. Overall, we had a great time with friends and enjoyed a range of drinks at good prices.

Have been going to Black Cloud for 6 years and last night was the absolutely worst experience we have ever "suffered" through! The service was terrible, the "waitress??" needed training. The food was the terrible and it took one hour to get it.They ran out of just about everything, especially chicken and the bartender had no clue how to make a drink. The new managers, previously from the Plantation Bar & Grill have managed to make most of our friends extremely displeased. The only good thing last night was Harryoke!

.Arrived at Black Cloud Saloon at 6 p.m.with pre-paid tickets to the "Rat Pack Review"..we seated in a reasonable time waitress took our beverage order and our diner choice's ( very limited menu for this show with no salad, bread or rolls available), etc.included with diner) ..We sat for 20 minutes or so and were then asked by hostess if we could swap tables to provide seating for another group of patrons, After moving to another table we had to flag a waitress and ask if we could get our beverages served? To make a long story short we sat for over an hour with no expectations of when our meal would be served.(with no promise from staff at to when we would be served) ...Asked to see a manager with no coming to our assistance..We finally walked to the manager and asked for our money back..got to our car counted our returned money only to find we were short changed...Very,Very bad experience both with wait staff and management...ps, another couple that were setting at our table had been there longer than we and were not even asked for their meal or beverage request's until we told a server they had not been waited on ...that is when we decided to leave.., NEW OWNER's NEED A LOT TO LEARN Don't think we'll ever return to this business.

This was our first visit. We had heard, good music.....bad food and wait staff. Then we read on the internet amongst bad reviews, that new owners had leased as of May 21st. We decided to go and thought to listen to the swing music and perhaps not eat there. My husband doesn't even like swing music and declared this one of the best evenings we've ever had out. The music was outstanding, couples on the dance floor the entire evening. We did eat there I had ribeye, and he had fish and chips.....both we served to perfection. Our particular waiter was Matt who was attentive and wonderful. The bartender was great, we got lost and he gave super directions. This place is great and we will definitely go back many times. I do need to say there was many just watching but also some pretty good dancers on the floor.

New to area and based on positive reviews tried this place - YUK. My wife asked what type of fish was used in the fish sandwich. We were told "basa" which according to the server was a light white fish like flounder. My wife took one bite and spit it out. Please Google this fish. It is banned in four States and comes from Vietnam where they are raised on hormones, antibiotics etc. It's cheap so restaurants use it to replace better whitefish. There were about 8 people in the restaurant and took forever to get my drink. Overall - WE WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.

Found the Black Cloud by accident. Had a few beers there like the atmosphere and heard about the Friday Fish. So we went there tonight for the fish for my wife and she said it was good and she would go back for more.
I am the other hand had the Filly Steak sandwich., IT WAS THE BEST I have had in Florida or anywhere outside of Philly. I am from PA. and it would stand up with the best Philly steaks I have eaten there.
Found my new favorite place to eat.

Yesterday, my brother and I were looking for some place different to eat nearby. I suggested going to The Black Cloud since we've never ever stopped there in all the time we'ved moved to Palm Coast, FL (nearly 20 yrs ago). The restaurant is not more than a couple of miles from our residence, right off US1, set deep within a campground surrounded by wooden cattle fencing, just neighboring a business strip mall ... easy to miss if you're looking for a restaurant and don't see their sign. We drove down the road several hundred feet until we saw the restaurant. From the outside it reminded me of a quaint rustic ranch style building. The landscaping was ample and seemed well kept. It is a fairly large wooden structure with a good size roofed outdoor seating area with wooden french doors all along the side entrance. We had to enter through the front door and were welcomed into a huge wooden great room which was decorated more like a carpeted hunting lodge with a middle wooden dance floor, a large stage at the far end and a long wooden bar top with stools that rang almost the entire length of the restaurant.
It was around 6 pm on a Wednesday and aside from the two of us there were a few people sitting by the bar, one we were to find out later was the owner. We were greeted by a sole server who doubled as the bartender. She was very amicable, accommodating and seemed quite happy to welcome us, seat us, take our drink orders and then took the time to tell us the history of the restaurant and the various activities which occur during the week atter learning that this was our first time visiting. We were informed that this time is their off season and that aside from their daily food specials, they usually don't have any special entertainment offering on Wednesday evenings. She also pointed out a huge stone wood burning fireplace on the side of structure, which is actually used for heating. BTW we were the only diners there throughout our stay. Normally, I would be hesitant, but it gave us the opportunity to look around. The ceiling had various flags hanging down, some of countries, others were memorabilia. The walls were covered with mounted trophies, including a full size 13 foot alligator, a head of an adult bison, some deers, bobcats ... etc. Although not my first choice for decor personally ... for the setting it added to the overall ambiance of the establishment.
I ordered a calamari appetizer, a grilled 10oz ribeye steak medium-rare with a side salad and creamed spinach. My brother ordered the terriyaki garlic chicken wings with the standard accompaniments. My side salad with bleu cheese dressing was served within minutes and the remainder of our meal including the appetizer per our request were served together within 10 minutes. Everything was very good. My steak was done right, juicy tender, flavorful with a hint of sea salt. The calamari was breaded, crispy on the outside yet the inner core was juicy and tender. The wings surprised my brother as it was dipped in terriyaki sauce and sprinkled liberally with minced garlic. He said that it was good and reserved half for lunch the next day preferring to fill up on the calamari, instead. I must confess the portion of appetizer served was more than that both of us could finish so he had an additional bonus to take home for lunch the following day. The only part of my meal that I feel could use a bit more seasoning was the creamed spinach. It was on the bland side. The server did a fine job of checking on us periodically and topping up our drinks. We left after lingering a while just to continue our visual exploration of the interior and are likely to return, maybe on a Tuesday evening when they have a live16 piece swing band playing.

OMG! A great place to enjoy a great dinner. No kidding here! It's for real and the manager and staff run for you! They are too good and have great direction from their manager! When they have a band it's great songs and dancing lessons as needed (free)... a bar maybe 50 ft long and country look... It's an atmosphere of country. A good crowd and everyone is active.
Good food served hot and tender. Nice entertainment at a fair price. I just started going with the wife and enjoyed each and every time! You will too.

I had the burger which was outstanding, two others in our party had Liver and Onions which they claimed was the "best in the County." Have lived in Palm Coast for 12 years, driven by the Black Cloud Restaurant many times with intentions of stopping. Finally did on May 9th and am so happy we stopped. Will definitely be returning. Decor is great, relaxing, wait staff is marvelous.
Was entertained by Rain N Kim, a local Karaoke team and would definitely like to see them again (on Wednesday nights).
A Great Place!

Friday Fish Fry is the Best in the County! All you an eat Basa served with delicious coleslaw and fries for $9.99. Also tried the Stagecoach Salad, bed of spinach with onion, mushrooms, hard boiled egg and a warm bacon dressing and added grilled shrimp. Very tasty and filling. Service is fast and friendly. Entertainment that night too, The Swanky Mo's. Great Dance Band. The atmosphere is that of an old Florida Hunting Lodge with a large dance floor with a disco ball. Great night. Will definitely return for Friday Fish Fry.

Visited here when friends were at the camp site. It's a rustic joint and not exactly my style of decor. I was not impressed with their wings but they did have an amazing burger which I would go back for. Server was friendly but a little slow.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. As someone who has dined in each of the 50 states, I can honestly say, the Waldorf it is not. But it is what it was evidently intended to be, a place where one can kick back, relax and enjoy good food at a reasonable price in a country type atmosphere. My sincere congratulations to the owners for a restaurant that will stand out in my mind, and be favorably remembered.
