Nice atmosphere, fairly clean, great presentation and variety, but none of the food has any flavor! I have no idea how they are able do that! Really, how can the taste of each vegetable and meat be removed? Everything is bland! The Coconut Chicken and Kung Po were the only exceptions where the sauce had some taste. I always had complimentary hot tea, but when we received the bill we saw $1.90 added for it. A real rip off.

This is the only Chinese buffet I go to now after visiting it and comparing it to other buffets. It's the quality of the food; I'm a picky eater, and I love this place. Enjoy!

Great at first, then ok, and now unacceptable... No take out orders over the phone, you have to sit there for half a hour to get your order. Eat-in food became total garbage. Just avoid this place.

I'm sorry to say but whoever says this place is even half way decent poorly mistaken. First let me start by saying I went with my wife and 5 year old they sat us next to another couple with kids in almost an isolated area where the table cloths were worn out and and the seats had seat covers, when moved had stains and were disgusting meanwhile all the other people sat in nice seats and had table clothes! The food was terrible. I had two sample plates to try their small variety of food and found nothing that tasted good. The only thing that was edible was the wannabe zepoles they had in the desert section... I want Lucky Buffet back where the food to me was ten fold better. I went to this place because Lucky's was closed and I had read a promising review on this site. I'm soooo disgusted... do yourself a favor and order from a to-go place! As for Grand Hong Kong, I will never return. Thank you - Happy belly's make happy people!

We've heard about this place and wanted to try it, so we did tonight. The service was good, but the food really wasn't. There were very few choices to choose from. The rice on the sushi was hard, and most of the food laid out was cold, to lukewarm. The food tasted un-fresh, and the price was expensive. I don't think I'll go again.

We have eaten here about three times now. We do like the place and the variety on the buffet. We've been to a lot of Chinese buffets along the east coast and I think this is one of the better ones. I eat vegetarian sushi and there is always a nice variety. The place is clean, including the rest rooms, and with coupon it's very reasonable.

My friend and I went their today for lunch, the first time we went their food was great so went again... today was not. Not much to choose from to eat... dried out beef/chicken and way too much thickening glazes on the food.

I just moved here a few weeks ago and slowly getting to try all the local restaurants. I've been searching for a good Chinese restaurant, and although I found a great take out (King Palace) I have yet to find a good sit down Chinese. I'm not a big fan of buffets but thought I'd try Grand Hong Kong out of cravings! However, it really didn't come close to satisfying my craving for good Chinese. Just about every item I sampled from the buffet was sweet and tasteless. Fried items seemed like they were fried ages ago and were rock hard. Sushi was OK and desert selection wasn't too bad. Service was good and the place is nicely kept. I guess I'll have to keep searching for a good local Chinese!

I am so glad that there is a perfect Chinese buffet in Palm Coast. The food is excellent, the service is very nice, everything is fantastic and especially the sanitation and the restroom, they are very very clean. They have crab legs and oysters. The chicken is really really really tasty. The service is wonderful... if I order a tea the tea cup will never be empty, they will talk to you with a smiley face always. I like this restaurant, it is my favorite!

I thought it was good. The food was fresh and hot. The Lo Mein was good and it actually had flavor. I thought the Egg Foo Young was GREAT. I would go back just for that. The sushi looked impressive although I don't eat it. My friend said the Tempura chicken were very good. Lastly, I don't see where $10.99 for dinner is such a hardship, but if you think that's too much, go to McDonald's for dinner and do Grand Hong Kong's for lunch ($6.99...all you can eat, people!)

As for me, I'll be returning to Grand Hong Kong's on a regular basis. It's the best Chinese food in Palm Coast...;)

Dirty business practices! I've eaten at this buffet off and on for some months... not impressed, but basically because I'd get a craving for Chinese and it was close. The food is not anything I would recommend. Adequate is probably the best adjective. Agree with previous posts about rubber sushi and lukewarm food.

But WITHOUT NOTICE they decided to charge $6.00 for a 22-month-old to eat! They neglected to mention this when we sat down. When I received the bill and stated I'd never been charged for the baby before, they pointed to a little 8" by 10" note they'd put on the grand piano near the entrance amidst plants and Christmas decorations... nothing you could see or read from the hostess stand. There is no way that I would pay this for a toddler who basically eats six pieces of shrimp and air.

The manager was nasty to me and the staff was obviously unhappy. If you want to overpay for boring food and support devious business practices, eat away. But when I have my cravings I'll either be doing take out at the King Palace or going to the Chinese buffet by the Wal-Mart in St. Augustine.

Had dinner there the other night. Sushi bar was awful and clams are farm raised and poor quality. The rest of the food was not hot and mediocre at best. Decor is nice and restrooms clean. Wont be back. They also charge for hot tea which ought to be included.

The place is clean and nice looking. The staff is friendly and well dressed. I was disappointed in the warm buffet. I like my food hot. Although they lowered their
prices I probably will not return. I did eat there three times and they haven't changed.

We came across a coupon and decided to check out Grand Hong Buffett. We were still cautious and searched Flagler Online and the Florida health code violations website. No problems so we proceeded.

The new decor is impressive; soft instrumental music greets you in a well appointed nice dining atmosphere. They spent some money on the renovation. People seemed to dress better and act more politely then the other buffet. There is no trace of Marco Polo, a restaurant I kindly gave two stars.

The bathroom was very clean which is a rarity in Asian restaurants. This place has granite countertops, hands free towels and soap. Good idea for a buffet!

After we were seated we ordered a complimentary pot of tea as usual and headed for the sushi buffet. I found some California rolls, rice and cream cheese rolls and an assortment of fake crab meat rolls. No fresh fish. I checked and this was it. So as far as the Sushi goes, I like fresh fish, so I was disappointed.

My wife and I are not big meat eaters so we focused on the vegetables and crab legs which were fine. Bok Choy, fresh string beans, and peas were very good. There was a nice vegetarian dish. The steamed dumplings were very good. The chicken and broccoli was good. Everything else looked clean and well kept.

I had pistachio ice cream which was good.

We got our check and picked up the fortune cookies on our way out.

The tea was not complimentary, $3.80 for two. Which seemed kind of steep, no pun intended.

All in all we were pleased with the experience. Although I prefer raw sushi so I will probably stick with the other buffet unless we have friends in town who we want to take to a better atmosphere.

I really didn't enjoy the food here. The restaurant is very nice inside and service was good, but the food selections were very sweet and mostly flavorless. Sushi was quite good though.

My family and I eat here about one a week. We had eaten there about a year ago and thought we'd never go back. They have improved the food. It is a little expensive especially for the kids, but we think the food is much better than the other Chinese buffet.

Stopped visiting Grand Honk Kong for a while so thought I'd try it again. Went for dinner and was not very impressed. Nearly everything tasted the same and was very sweet. The fish tasted old and the sushi was quite bland. At $10.99 each, I expected more. There are far more better better places to dine out in Palm Coast so this is now on my permanent ignore list!

I was there for lunch on Thursday. It is still the best restaurant for service and atmosphere. Everything I ate was very good. There is such a large selection of items I don't see how anyone could not find enough that they liked to be satisfied. The sushi bar, salad bar, fruit bar, dessert bar are all excellent and fresh. Personally I like more traditional sushi but most people would be happy with their emphasis on cooked sushi items. The Chinese dishes I tried were fresh and tasty. Maybe others have experienced ups and downs in quality but I was very satisfied with everything I ate. And it is a very good value with reasonable pricing.
