Chicken Pantry PERMANENTLY CLOSED

The food here is not as good as it used to be! My sandwich today arrived looking like it was thrown together with no care, and on top of the fries and coleslaw spilled over. Just not appetizing! Server was nice enough but the sandwich was slow coming out. Also it needs brightening up inside as it's getting quite dank.

The Chicken Pantry was my go to place for a touch of nostalgia and a taste of home, but not so much anymore. On my last two visits the food just wasn't as good and service falling off. Chicken today was like leather and everything else had a strange consistency. All needed seasoning. The food reminded me of when my older brother would have to cook for us when mom was working and he overcooked everything and hid burnt pieces under the cold mashed potatoes or glumpy gravy. So I guess it did remind me of home LOL

Been coming here since it was at the old location because I like the old style vibes and their food tastes like grandma's. Breakfasts are great and dinners will leave you well satisfied. The pie case will take you back and they're all delicious! Service is very friendly and it's clean. Don't miss the fried chicken and their cornbread is the best.

Great southern comfort food with friendly staff. They do excellent sandwiches and fried chicken and you have to get the fried green tomatoes. The pecan chicken and waffles breakfast will set you up for the day. But it's all good here.

This is an iconic restaurant around here and I've been visiting since it was in the old location, and through different owners I like how it is now. I usually eat breakfast here but they have really good Fried Chicken and also Chicken Pot Pies and Liver and Onions as well. Servers are friendly and make you feel appreciated.

This is where I go when I want fried chicken as theirs is the best anywhere close to Bunnell. You can get half a fried chicken for a really good price and it tastes great... real Southern style and not greasy plus you pick two sides which I like the mashed potatoes and coleslaw but there's many others to choose from. My only complaint is the service can be slow sometimes.

If you're up for some good old fashioned homestyle comfort food then this is your place. This is where you get a warm welcome and some of the best fried and smothered foods around. It's simple food and you may find yourself adding some salt and pepper to extract some flavor but it's nostalgic and filling. I admit this is not a place I'd dine at often but every now and then I crave this type of food and the Chicken Pantry always delivers.

Quite a nice small town diner place with friendly service. Had the pork chops which were good but the sides were not too great... cabbage salty and over cooked and mashed potatoes gooey. Heard their breakfasts were worth trying so maybe go again to find out.

Went in with low expectations but left very pleased with the food and service. The restaurant is clean and has some nice little touches around to brighten it up and make you feel welcome and the staff couldn't of been nicer. The menu is honest home style southern food with a lot comforting sandwiches and fried chicken. Prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend if you're in this part of town. Two thumbs up from me.

I have to be honest I didn't care for this place when I went for breakfast and found it to be too heavy, greasy and just not my thing. But went with a friend for lunch and had their fried chicken and it was hands down the best anywhere around here. Big plump and very tender pieces of chicken and the breading tasted amazing. Not at all oily and cooked perfectly. Staff nice and basic interior with a kind of flat atmosphere. But would go back for more of that fried chicken!

This is about as country as you can get with rib stickin' food, warm staff, and even a pie case! As far as country or southern food goes they do quite a good job here, with everything close to what you expect such as heavily fried, big portions, and cooked until it's almost too much. But it does taste and feel good when you want a touch of home or nostalgia. This is not food I could eat very often but once in a while when in the mood The Chicken Pantry is where I go. Nice staff and it's clean.

It was so tasty, the best chicken and the BEST BREAKFAST... also SUPER affordable and you get way more for what you're paying. Also they have really good pies and cakes for deserts that they make everyday😍😍😍😋

Highlight of visit: I love the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the breakfast pancakes and home fries are the best in town.

Amazing! New owners took over recently in September and have transformed this place. This is a place where the owners are always at the restaurant making sure food is great and service is running too notch. Go check it out!

I had the Tuesday special which was baked chicken over rice with two sides. The chicken sat on top of the rice. As I started to eat, I got a mouth full of small chicken bones with rice, which was under the chicken. I proceeded to pick out all the bones which included the rib pieces and insides and put them in a small plate. There was a substantial amount of bones. I brought my plate to the counter to a lady at the register, don't know if she was the manager or not and showed her the bones. I was told that is how they make the baked chicken with rice. The whole chicken is put in a pot and cooked then put over rice, bones and all. That is how they been doing it that way for years, and people like it. I explained it would have been a different story I had choked on the bones.

Good food and great size portions to boot. Large variety on the menu to choose from and prices are decent. My wife truly enjoys the fried chicken platter and they have some tasty Hot wings. The service can be spotty at time but we have had a good experience 90% of the time. Audrey is who we usually have as our server and she is good.

After reading all the reviews I decided to give this place a try. I had the fried chicken with french fries. The chicken was fresh and very. very hot. Also.. it was very, very, greasy. And the Fries...... Could not eat them since they were totally soaked in grease. I removed the greasy skin and had a few bites. But I could not get over the fact that this food was soaking in grease. The plate had a thin layer of grease on it. I got up..paid my bill... and left..never to return.

Whenever we're in Palm Coast we just have to stop in at the Chicken Pantry. The food is outstanding and it's such a pleasant atmosphere. I sure miss your cornbread. My wife has tried many times to make cornbread but she hasn't succeeded yet. Would you be willing to share your cornbread recipe with me? At least she'd have a fight'n chance to get it right. We'll be back in the fall and can't wait to stop in and see everyone and have some great food.

Super good food, good prices and large portions. What more could you ask for? Not fancy inside but its comfy. I have taken several friends and family over and... bingo bango... hooked!

Flagler Area Mountain Bike association had large meeting at Chicken Pantry Bunnell last night. The meals, the service and the prices were all fantastic. Don't be snooty, just go in, have a great meal and enjoy yourself. I recommend the Chicken Souvlaki sandwich, it rocks! . Oh, and support local businesses. Thanks again. -wk

Nice surprise! Great menu. I plan on trying most everything sooner or later.
