Sonny's Real Pit BBQ UNCLAIMED

First time here for about 5 years and it still tastes the same. They've given the restaurant a facelift and the entrance now looks like a cardboard box and inside is very wooden with tiny TV's in the corners that add nothing. If you try the meat without any sauce it really doesn't have much flavor and could be a lot more smoked, but with sauce it's much better and was tender and plentiful. Fries were really good as was the mac and cheese. Server very good and it's priced very reasonable.

The prices have gotten a bit high. We used to go there more often when the prices were lower and they had the salad bar. PUT THE SALAD BAR BACK IN!!!

Highlight of visit: The sweet BBQ sauce is to die for!

My pulled pork was really good but my wife's ribs were dry and leathery! The kids liked their sandwiches and service was on the ball. Sauces are very good.

I know this is just a chain restaurant but you get pretty good BBQ here and good Southern style hospitality. It's certainly much better than Woody's! I usually get their St. Louis Ribs and wife goes for the Smoked Turkey. Their sides are good too especially their baked beans and slaw. Nicer place since renovations.

It's been a long time since we visited a Sonny's and have to say it has improved. The service was fast and friendly and the food tasted much better than previously. This is chain restaurant BBQ and not passionately made by a pit master but for a quick bite when out shopping it hit the spot! Miss having a salad bar though.

Curbside pick up and ordering was very efficient and food was delicious. The server made sure I had everything. Really liked the pull chicken. Much improved.

Much nicer now since their updates to the building. Food was good and the brisket sandwich was very tasty. Service could of been more attentive but friendly enough. Big improvement though since past visits and looks like they're getting their act together now.

Been here twice now and the first time was bad as the pulled pork was very mushy and extremely salty. Second time today was much better as I ordered the half chicken which was moist and just right. Sides were good and really liked the fried okra and sauces are good as well. Server was very good but then disappeared after food arrived and had to ask another one for the check.
