Grabbed a corned beef sub for lunch and it was pretty good. The roll could have been crustier for my liking but it was ok. Fries were like Oneida frozen ones. Service more efficient than friendly. Not a bad lunch stop if you’re close by.

Just a good locals spot for a good breakfast. Nothing fancy or creative, but a solid feed at a reasonable price. Friendly service and a place where people chat over a cup of morning Joe with eggs or a bagel.

We're new to town and trying places for breakfast and today we sampled the Sub and Bagel Base. It's quite nice inside and clean and we sat at a small booth on the side. The lady serving was very welcoming and paid us a lot of attention. The menu has all the usual standard breakfast items with good bagel selection. I just went with a ham and Cheese Omelet with Homefries and my wife had a Bagel with Lox. My omelet was ok but the cheese was very plasticy and the homefries were mushy. My wife liked her bagel, it had a generous amount of lox with tomato, onion and capers and cream cheese, and the bagel was fresh. I wish I had ordered that instead of the omelet. The coffee was fine but far from a gourmet roast. We would visit again for the bagels but I'll pass on the omelets and definitely would not bother with the homefries.

This place has been here forever but I only just got to try it - visited for breakfast and the staff were friendly and the restaurant looked clean. The menu was typical deli/diner style and I had a plain bagel with lox spread and French toast, my husband had a breakfast sandwich. Tthe bagel was good but I don't think the lox spread was home made and just tasted like it came from the store, and the French toast wasn't anything better than I could make at home. The breakfast sandwich had little filling and did not fill my husband at all. The coffee was good and they do offer free refills. In summary I'd say it was average but I did like the service and atmosphere.

Since moving to Palm Coast we have been searching for smaller non chain restaurants especially for breakfast and were so happy that we discovered the Sub Base Bagel Place today. In addition to great friendly service we had delicious and very satisfying breakfasts. All items were cooked just right and not at all greasy. We got bagels to go so will have those later. It's a small cafe type place with convenient parking. Just had to tell everyone 😋👍🍳

It wasn't too bad here but I doubt we'd be back as there are so many much better choices for breakfast in Palm Coast. There's just no love or passion here for the food or customer service and it clearly shows. However, it was quite busy and the couple next to us said they have been visiting every weekend for years so maybe they see something we didn't.

It was OK! Just standard old breakfast fare with nothing very interesting on the menu. The coffee was weak and the toast cold. It doesn't compare to places like Metro, IHOP, or Millenium across the street which is way better. Can't say I'd visit again.

I had higher expectations from reading the reviews... it's quite run down inside and staff had no enthusiasm or friendliness and all down to business. I sat at a side booth and just wanted coffee and a bagel and felt like the server couldn't be bothered with such a small order. Sorry I took up space but it wasn't busy anyway!!! The manager guy sitting in front kept giving me the look.

Nothing fancy but did have a great breakfast here... just ordered the usual 2 eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, etc and it reminded me of mom's cooking. Coffee tasted fresh. Reasonable prices and liked the food much better than at Denny's.

This restaurant has been around forever and we have visited it countless times over the years. Mostly it has always been good with the occasional letdown, and they've had some staff that have been great and changed ownership, and for a while now it's been very stable and a nice family business that offers good food and friendly service. We like their breakfasts from a fresh bagel with lox to a Greek omelet, and they make some tasty French toast too.

Horrible service and will not be back. Don't know if they have new owners but it has really declined here since my last visit before Covid. The woman serving seemed to dislike her job and her customers even more. Very abrupt and getting creamer for the coffee and then something to stir it with was a complete effort. Left without getting food. I really hope they bounce back as this was a good breakfast spot.

Sub Base in Palm Coast offers a straightforward selection of breakfast and deli-style sandwiches, with bagels and coffee frequently praised for freshness. The bagel with lox spread is popular, though some find the spread store-bought tasting. Omelets can vary in quality, with some guests noting rubbery cheese and mushy homefries. Service generally leans toward efficient and friendly, though a few reviews mention staff seeming less engaged, especially with solo diners. The atmosphere is casual and clean but described as basic and somewhat dull. Prices are reasonable, making it a practical choice for a quick breakfast or lunch, especially for locals. While not a destination for gourmet or creative fare, Sub Base serves solid, satisfying meals in a simple café setting.
