Captain's BBQ UNCLAIMED

Without a doubt the best BBQ anywhere around. Forget the chain places or driving to St. Augustine, Captains is far superior and has the best setting. I order mine and take it to a table outside and enjoy it surrounded by nature which makes it taste even better. All the meats and sides are awesome and their cheesecake is well worth bringing home. A top notch place and I highly recommend it.

We had a very good BBQ here and really enjoyed hanging out watching the boast on the river. Briske Plate was very flavorful and didn't have a fake smokey taste like many other places have. The Beet Salad side is good too.

We often stop here to pick up food to bring home. You can order online and have it ready when you arrive which is convenient. We usually get a BBQ plate that comes with two sides... the Burnt Ends one is excellent and their Smoked Beans and Cornbread are outstanding.

Highlight of visit: The Burnt Ends are a must in my opinion.

Great location overlooking the boat launch and river and lots of park areas with picnic benches. Your order at the counter and they call you when ready. The BBQ I had on my first visit was outstanding but on my last visit the burnt ends were not the best, so will skip those next time. Pulled pork was excellent though and their mashed yams are really good.

I like that you can arrive by road or water. Ordered a platter for the family and everything was very good... even the beet and goat cheese salad was impressive. Only let down was the coleslaw which had no flavor.

The location is awesome and although the building and inside are really nothing special their BBQ is really good, and sitting outside in the Bings facilities is a wonderful experience. We love watching life on the river while enjoying delicious BBQ.

I enjoyed the BBQ here but didn't think it was as good as all the hype. The waterfront location is awesome but inside is nothing special. Nice eating outside and watching the river and its activity. Parking was kind of haphazard with people not obeying any kind of order. Brisket was the best with the chicken being too dry. Couple sitting close by said the smoked turkey was the best! Maybe we'll try that next time.
