Captain's BBQ UNCLAIMED

I like that you can arrive by road or water. Ordered a platter for the family and everything was very good... even the beet and goat cheese salad was impressive. Only let down was the coleslaw which had no flavor.

Highlight of visit: Pulled pork was the best!

The location is awesome and although the building and inside are really nothing special their BBQ is really good, and sitting outside in the Bings facilities is a wonderful experience. We love watching life on the river while enjoying delicious BBQ.

I enjoyed the BBQ here but didn't think it was as good as all the hype. The waterfront location is awesome but inside is nothing special. Nice eating outside and watching the river and its activity. Parking was kind of haphazard with people not obeying any kind of order. Brisket was the best with the chicken being too dry. Couple sitting close by said the smoked turkey was the best! Maybe we'll try that next time.

Wasn't as good as I had heard. We usually get Smokin' D's on US 1 and thought we'd try Captains for a change, and although it was quite good we much prefer Smokin' D's, their meat has more flavor and their sides are definitely much better. The location of Captains is very cool and would be very nice eating outside in warmer weather. A bit on the pricey side too.

Very nice location with easy access by car or boat. Staff was friendly and ordering easy. The meats in the Grand Slam Combo we ordered tasted great and was very tender especially the brisket, the collard greens were also very good but the cornbread was kind of gooey and the mac & cheese tasted like it came from a box. Overall though this is very good BBQ in a fun location and will be back to try more.

Highlight of visit: The smoked beef brisket and St. Louis Ribs.

Had some good BBQ here several times but brisket yesterday was dry and not so flavorful. Their baked beans are awesome! Outdoor dining is great and fun to watch the water activities.
