I wasn’t very happy with the peel n eat shrimp… tasted frozen and they rely on the dipping sauce for heat, but the wings were very good and I had a great wrap here too. Servers are great and of course the setting is a lot of fun and the planes are something to watch while eating.

I like the airfield location and the decor is a lot of fun, plus the service was very good. The food was good but a little turbulent! My wife had the Chicken Marsala and the chicken was on the tough side and the sauce had an odd taste. But I had a Black and Blue Burger and thought it was excellent. The chips and salsa were nothing special. The bar also needs some work and a drinks menu would be a great addition.

This place always had bad names LOL Highjakers for an airport restaurant? Landing Strip? Seriously? Some images don't mix with lunch 😲🙀 Server was enthusiastic but kitchen seemed slow and the bar needs a fridge or more ice as beers were not cold. We just grabbed sandwiches which were OK but my panini was greasy and my friend had the Italian burger and said it was very salty. The location really deserves better, and a better name.

They need to work on a drinks menu! I just had the worst margarita of my life! Their other restaurants have a good drink manu but not here, just some young guy with no knowledge of cocktails. Our food was quite good and the atmosphere and decor is the same as it always has been. Just that silly name!

I'm not too sure if the new change is because the owner has a twisted sense of humor or is none the wiser LOL But the Highjacker's name at an airport wasn't in the best taste either. However, I like it here. It's fun and always has good service. The menu is mostly the same and they still have great wings and shrimp, but the drinks have definitely improved with some good and very well priced cocktails.

They had a Pork Ribeye special that I ordered which was good and tender but the mango salsa on top was flavorless and didn't do much for it, the mashed potatoes were good though and spinach needed trimming as it was mostly hard stems. Our server was awesome and beers were great. I have always liked the atmosphere here and the new owners have done some upgrades.

Have always liked it here and am happy to discover that the new owner has retained the integrity of the place. I had the weekend special which was a Steak Caprese Salad and I thought it was a fun take on a classic dish and really enjoyed it. My only complaint was that the beer was warm which really upset my hubby. On a steamy hot day that didn't go down too well LOL Still has excellent service here and I love watching the airport activity.

The 1lb steamed shrimp special at High Jackers is a great deal and wish they had it every day. I also like their burgers and the fried fish dinner. Their customer service is tops and I like their off beat atmosphere.
Highlight of visit: Visit Wednesdays for their shrimp special! Great deal.

Worth the trip out to the Flagler Airport... you get great service from all the staff and a cool atmosphere. The food is your standard all American style and tastes great. They have very good sandwiches and burgers, and I love their coconut shrimp appetizer. they have a full bar too folks 🍹🍻🍔
Highlight of visit: The Coconut Shrimp are awesome and I recommend the Reueban Cuban sandwich.

Great food, service and atmosphere. The menu has something for everyone and all I've had has been delicious. They make great Cubans and burgers. Very good prices and they have a full bar too. I come here often for lunch at work and they get you fed fast.

They have really good burgers here and I always get a cup of the beer cheese soup. My wife likes their salads and wraps and if we're there on the right day we sometimes split a pound of their spicy shrimp. Beers are cold and their servers are the best. We like their atmosphere with planes and things to look at.
Highlight of visit: The burgers I like best are the Shrimp Burger and the Blue Cheese. My wife likes the Ginger Salad. We both like the beers 😉🍻

I often come here for lunch as the food is always on point and I like to watch the planes. Good service and plenty on the menu to suit my mood. The beer cheese soup is awesome and they do a great mahi sandwich. I recommend.

Wonderful atmosphere and watching the planes take off and land is fun. Service was slowish but the food was very good and they make a really good burger. The restroom was clean. Very nice place for kids.

We didn't really know this restaurant was here until we picked up a rental car and decided to stop for a quick lunch before hitting the road. It was nice sitting outside watching the airport activity plus it's dog friendly. Service friendly but was slow and food a took awhile to arrive. The flatbread was OK but wouldn't order again, but my tailwind wrap was good and hubby thought his fillet mignon sandwich was nice with the Cuban bread. Not a place to drop in when you're in a hurry but if you have plenty of time then it's ideal.

The Landing Strip Tavern in Bunnell offers a vintage airport-themed interior with a lively atmosphere that some find echoey. The menu features a mix of pub grub and creative dishes like the Asian salad, Thai chili shrimp wrap, Cuban panini, and cowboy burger, with the latter praised for its generous portion. Sandwiches, wraps, and burgers generally receive positive notes, while some entrees like Chicken Marsala and blackened salmon can be hit or miss. Drinks range from solid cocktails-best with premium bourbon-to occasional inconsistencies depending on the bartender. Service is generally friendly and attentive, though some find it slow or lacking warmth. Seating with metal chairs draws criticism for discomfort, especially in cooler weather. The tavern appeals to those looking for casual dining with good drinks but may require some menu navigation to avoid less successful items.
