Review of Cracker Barrel by Chas from Palm Coast
From the moment we walked in we had positive experiences. All staff were courteous, polite and prompt and all wore masks. Our breakfasts were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Our server was so nice and nothing was too much trouble for him. We have stopped at many Cracker Barrels and this one in Palm Coast tops the list.

They have good spacing and employees wore masks, but while waiting for a table in the store area hardly any customers had a mask on and close to each other. Food was good enough and won't win any Michelin stars but I left full. Breakfast all day is good.

In normal times I really love their breakfasts and always find the service excellent and the atmosphere homey and fun. Recently we picked up Family Baskets from here twice and had the Pancake Breakfast and Chicken & Dumplings. Both were nicely packed and tasted very good, plus with both baskets they'll give you 4 layer bacon breakfast bowls for free! Reasonably priced and a good way to feed a hungry family.

I bring my mother here about twice a month as she likes it, but it's not exactly a favorite of mine. Service is always friendly but can be slow some days. Food is hit or miss too. I find a lot tastes like it came from a can or frozen, so the last few times I've had their salads which I found to be quite good. The shop is always entertaining to look around as well. I recommend if you like this type of food and not too fussy about quality.

Went here recently with some friends. I ordered Fried Chicken. It was absolutely horrible... Way Overcooked and dry as all get out. Actually, the best Fried Chicken is at Popeye's... yes Popeye's. They make the best Fried chicken you will ever taste. The crap they serve at Cracker barrel is awful... absolutely awful!
In all fairness to Cracker Barrel, the rest of their menu is pretty good.
Highlight of visit: The water was good and the Bathroom was clean!

My wife and I eat here about twice a month. We find the food tasty and the prices are reasonable. Recently they started serving southern fried chicken. The first time I tried it it was rather good, but lately not so. They tend to over cook the chicken and apply way too much breading. The last time I ordered fried chicken was actually "The Last Time I will order fried chicken ".

My husband and I had dinner there a few weeks ago. We ordered the country fried steak which we did not like, but no fault of the Cracker Barrels. Cornbread came out burned, mashed potatoes were cold and they forgot to mash most of them. When I told the manager he said "I guess it's good that you are ordering dessert". I have ordered the cobbler quite a few times in the past and was served warm. This time it was taken out of the refrigerator and that was that. I might have given it another chance but the managers attitude was unacceptable.

Apart from always getting hard baked potatoes I like the food here. Big selection and portions plentiful. Servers work hard and always cheerful. Prices reasonable. Convenient parking and store fun to browse. Get on the list online during busy times.

If you're in the mood for down home comfort food you really can't go wrong here. You get a home cooked type of meal brought to you be a friendly server at a reasonable price. Big menu selection and just like old style home cooking, the food is not perfect or very healthy but it hist the spot. The kids like it here and the shop is fun to look around too.
Highlight of visit: The Friday Fish Fry is a favorite.

I admit to not being a very big fan of country down home cooking but I bring my parents here as they always enjoy it. It does have a varied menu and I usually just order a salad which is quite good. My parents rotate between the usual Country Fried Steak and Chicken and Dumplings type of dishes and they like them, but to me the veggies always look overcooked. Occasionally there can be a wait for a table but the shop is fun to look around while waiting. Servers are mostly good but seem to be spread thin when busy. If it wasn't for my parents I'd never visit but I'm happy they enjoy it.
