My husband, daughter and I enjoyed this place. We were looking for a place who served breakfast at 12:00 noon besides Manny's. They accommodated us and we were very pleased and surprised at the service and food. It was great! I had a sausage and egg bagel and my husband had a traditional eggs, bacon, toast. His eggs were cooked perfect and the servings were ample.

The people, who had a foreign accent, who served us were great and very courteous to our somewhat overanxious 2 year old.

As an original Zagat reviewer, I've seen these symptoms many times. The "Market" Place Diner is relatively new and going through its "getting settled in" pains, with the usual staff turn over and hours changes. Through it all, though, there is great food to be had in this clean, pleasant restaurant.

The regulars go there as much for the smiles and gracious welcome of Linda, the transplanted Brit owner, as they do for the food. Linda makes it a point to know every one in town, and her personality has made it comfortable for the who's who of Flagler Beach to hold court while munching a consistently good breakfast that includes a variety of bagels that are baked fresh on site every morning. Linda also supports the artists in the community by displaying their wares on her walls.

Everything is cooked to order with very little wait time. You really can have it exactly your way, even if it's not on the menu. The wait and kitchen staff are eager to please and Rick, the chef, makes a regular appearance to make sure his customers are smiling.

I am. . . it's one of my favorite places to relax with the morning paper.

Pluses: No plastic dishes, natural sugar, half & half for your coffee, your own little bottle of Tropicana orange juice, fresh eggs, meats, veggies, breads etc.

What Could Be Better: Real Espresso drinks, Starbucks or higher quality coffee, creamier grits, country ham, maybe a hang town fry or some other omelet with shell fish, fresh fruit/yogurt/cereal on the menu, open for Sunday brunch with a special menu (Eggs Benedict and Mimosa's = Yum!). . . well, you can't have everything!

We are surprised by the review about bad service! We have been twice and both times there was an English (?) woman who was VERY nice! She remembered us from our first visit. Soups were delicious too.

Have been there a few times. Initially was fine. Last time I ordered fish and started picking SCALES out of my mouth. Thought they were bones at first. The waitress said " You have to ask if you don't want it prepared that way". We did get an apology and free desert.

My wife and I went in after shopping at the farmers market. A lady told us to take a seat. From that moment on,we were ignored. We sat for a long while and two other people came in and sat across from us. The waitress came and asked them if they wanted coffee and continued to ignore us. We finally just walked out. Don't waste your time.

We really like this place! We thought the service was VERY good and the woman even remembered what we ordered previously when we returned! Yes, the sausage rolls are so very good! This is a quaint, clean little cafe.

The food was good but the poor services ruined the owner's business. My server gave me the wrong drink and it was ok but only the other server switched the drink for me and asked me if I was doing ok. My server never ask me if I need anything else or if I was ok for the whole dining period. Instead he turns away every time he put down the plate on my the table and I had to walk up the front to ask for an extra plate and I took one extra napkin from next table. The only time he spoke to me was when he saw me finished my meal and didn't even say thank you.
