Ordered several items for pick up and staff very professional throughout the process. The food was a little mixed. The Mixed Veg Pakora was not very good...... read more!
Review of 5th Element by Aaron from Palm Coast
Checked out this Indian spot in the European Village. The service was super slow and not very attentive which was a bit disappointing. The food though was really tasty. The samosas had great flavor but they were a bit heavy for an appetizer. The mixed Tandoori was packed with flavor and had a nice variety of meats. The Chicken 65 Biryani was full of layers of flavor and texture.. really liked it!! The naan was fluffy with a nice char, and definitely a win to soak up the sauce with. But the Mango Ice Cream was watery and barely had any flavor. Overall the food was mostly great, but the service could use a lot of improvement, and the outdoor seating in the European Village is a nice experience!

A couple of dishes were not very good... soup was like water with no flavor, and pakoras oily and over cooked. But our entrees were excellent and the rice and naan both very good. One server took our order and never returned again. Another bought food but just dropped and ran. Needed more drinks and no one to be found! Atmosphere inside very dull. I don't care for Tvs but a little Indian music would have been nice.

I like Indian food and 5th Element is some of the best I’ve had, but you have to be choosy with the menu as some dishes are tamed down for American pallets. Not always the best service here but good atmosphere and if you want to sample many dishes, try their weekend lunch buffet.

Good selection on the buffet and most dishes were very good, but two or three were very strange and I'm not sure what those big colored cereal things are! The mango soft serve is flavorless. The customer service could be better and at least smile.

We sat outside for the lunch buffet with only one other table occupied and barley received any attention from the staff, who seemed to be just focusing on the tables inside. When I tried to pay the bill it took about 10 minutes to get someone, and he was not pleasant at all. HOWEVER, the food was amazing! Everything was very tasty, fresh, and plentiful. I don't eat meat but there are so many veg choices and all are delicious.

They could do with a couple more servers as when we arrived no one greeted us and we stood in the lobby area for ages, and during the meal it was hard to get drinks and have the dirty plates cleared. However, the food was delicious with so many dishes on the menu it's hard to decide what to order. This is where you can try many unique flavors and ingredients and everything is so vibrant and tasty. The food at 5th Element is the king but the service needs some improvement.

Service lets 5th Element down but the food is amazing. Also sitting outside in this heat all the fans were turned off and everyone was sweating. Waiter barely checked on us and was very slow. I really liked the food here though and the setting is nice too.

5th Element is the only Indian restaurant in Palm Coasts, so we are lucky it's a good one. I recommend a thali as it has a good variety of dishes and provides a tasting experience at the table. The Indian beer is refreshing on a hot day and the service is attentive.

We don't get to eat out too often and we went here for a date night tonight, and we had an amazing meal. Staff gave us a lot of attention and we had some fried pakoras and samosas for appetizers that were crispy and tasty, and for entrees my wife had the shrimp vindaloo that was tangy and delicious, and I had a lamb korma dish which was mild but had an amazing creamy sauce with very soft and tender meat. The mango lassies are superb and help a lot with spicy food, and I liked the Taj beer. We're so glad that our rare dining out opportunity was not wasted and 5th Element definitely rose to the occasion.

Everything I had on the buffet today was awesome! Really tasty food and so much to choose from. Make sure to ask for dosa as they’re made fresh and go so well with the daal. Staff all pitch in and get the job done very well.

Their weekend buffets are great value with plenty of choices... everything is delicious! It's also a great place for dinner in the evenings with a big menu and the outside courtyard is a wonderful setting. Customer service is very professional.

The young Indian man serving was so polite and helpful and clearly explained the dishes to us. Can’t say exactly what they were called but the dishes we had were incredible with wonderful exotic flavors. We were truly impressed with everything at 5th element 👏👏👏

Their weekend buffet is the best food in town with everything fresh and regularly replenished and outstanding flavors. It was busy today with most people sitting inside because of the weather, but it created a good atmosphere. Many delicious items on the buffet and even the chutneys are wonderful. Come hungry and it's good value. 5th Element is one of Palm Coast's top restaurants and our only Indian.

We visited for the Sunday lunch buffet which had plenty of dishes and items, and everything I sampled was delicious. I really like the Indian flavors and find they do them very well. I recently went in a high end Indian restaurant in NYC and the food and 5th Element was much better.
Highlight of visit: The buffet on weekends is good value with a good choice of dishes.

Awesome date night here with GF. We got great service and food was very exotic tasting and delicious. They bring you many condiments and the breads helped to soak up the sauce. The beer from India was very good also. A top notch meal and experience.

We go here for the buffet on weekends but we have given up going for the menu service the rest of the time. Food is just not what it was and doesn't taste so good. They're opening a nice new 5th Element at St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, so looking forward to trying that one.

We love Indian food and found 5th Element a hit and miss with its dishes. The pakora starter tasted like it had been refried a few times and tasted of little but the oil, and although the papadoms were light and crispy, the sauces were very unhygienic with the same ones and spoons used from a different customer's table which grossed us out. However, the Muligatawny Soup was delish and the Chicken 65 was very tasty and spicy. My husband had a Dal which had nice flavor but was too salty, and his Mixed Tandoor lived up to its name - mixed - some very good, some dry and tough. Service was OK and attentive with the delivery of dishes and cleaning the plates, etc., but not with drink refills, and no smiles or 'thank yous'. This was the only Indian restaurant we could find in Palm Coast so I guess they have no competition which may keep it from excelling.

I had the Paneer Tikka about a month ago and loved it, but ordered it again last night and it was like a completely different dish. Didn't have no where near the flavor it had before and was very disappointed. Husband had a curry dish and said his was quite good but wouldn't order it again. We were also not very happy with the service as we had to ask for everything. A larger table seemed to be getting all their attention. It felt like they were seriously cutting back and need to up their game for us to eat here again.
