Larry's Italian Deli PERMANENTLY CLOSED

This has basically become a take out place since they no longer have the dining room side of the place. To try and sit and at at either of the seats at the 3 small 2 tops that run together or 4 seats at a thin counter facing the wall definitely impedes the flow of customers coming and going as well as being uncomfortable while dining in. Next I would think that it is unsanitary for the gentleman making the sandwiches to have a toothpick in his mouth and then when going to ring up customers takes that same toothpick and holds it in his hand while handing you change back. Just what I want during the height of the cold and flu season, he did not wash his hands before returning to make sandwiches and or salads and I do not know what he did with the toothpick but luckily he did put gloves on.

The prices here are very high. $10.99 for a submarine sandwich is ridiculous. I got a Taylor Ham sandwich that cost $8.00 plus tax. When I was asked if I wanted a breakfast sandwich or a lunch sandwich I inquired as to the difference in the amount of Taylor Ham. I was told it would be 8-10 slices for the lunch portion as compared to 4 slices for the breakfast portion, 8 slices it was and they were cut paper thin. If there was 3 oz of meat on the sandwich I was lucky. I am sure that all other sandwiches made with the thumans deli meat have much more than that on them. Little details go a long way, I asked to dine in, had my sandwich wrapped to go, asked for mustard on the sandwich but was not given a choice of type of mustard, the owner who took my order made that decision for me. I am from New Jersey where Taylor Ham is King. In my 45 years of life I have never ever not had my Taylor Ham cooked but I was asked if I wanted it warm by the owner. Warm it was not but crispy it was. This wold be perfect if not for the thinness of the slices of meat. I am sorry but I can no longer justify patronizing this place. The overhead was cut in half but the prices remain out of line.

To me customer service is just as important as the quality and the value for my dollar for the food I am receiving. If I received a response of "0k" when inquiring as to how was your sandwich, I would be asking that customer more questions so as to know why it was not good or even great. When your staff is working in view of your patrons it is ever so important to remember that you are always on stage. The show never ends and someone is always watching.

Great sandwiches and subs. The Philly is awesome. Everything I've tried from Larry's has been excellent.

Sandwiches are great both for breakfast and lunch. Great portions and prices.

The best subs in town. The food is always great. The staff are great too. Would recommend to everyone. A+ in my book!

We heard good things about Larry's so we tried it. We got the Chicken Parm sub special. We were disappointed. The bread was soft and soggy unlike most CP I have eaten The chicken was in pieces maybe 5 smallish pieces smothered in sauce very little cheese. In fact one half of the bun had no chicken at all. Coming from Jersey I know my Italian. Mezalunna down the road is much better so too our favorite Romanos in St Augustine. On a positive note the place was busy and the cold subs looked good.

Larrys is the jam, such a great sandwich and amazing soups, made with passion.

Larry's uses Boars head meat and their subs are good. I usually by 2 foot longs for my family meals and we are content. My Boys are young men 27 and 22 They have a very healthy appetite and never complain about this supper. They probably use 1/4 pound per 6 inch sub. They charge 7.99 for a full length, you can't compare them to subway there is no comparing to be done. Of course every place could be better to someones taste, but I have no major beefs.

I love the IDEA of Larry's Italian Deli but I think the execution needs some work. Both times I have ordered a Knish, it was not fully warmed through. This past visit, I ordered a Chicken Parmigiana Sub that had clearly been nuked - the sauce was nuclear-hot, the bread was soggy and the breading was soft and separated from the chicken.

This is basically comfort food at it's best... unhealthy, sodium laden, over sized sandwiches and such. Recent tuna sandwich was just overkill and although it tasted quite good, it's more quantity over quality. Staff seemed welcoming and prices were reasonable.

Best Deli with family hometown atmosphere. Everything fresh at the deli including Larry's homemade roast beef. The Boar's Head meats are cheaper than other chain markets. Anything from fresh mozzarella, olives and salads. They make an awesome breakfast sandwich on a kaiser roll.

Subs are the best in the county with fresh bread and all the fixings you could want. Larry and Lillian put up fresh homemade Italian dishes in their frozen case. That comes in real handy on a busy schedule - the lasagna is excellent. Homemade sausage can't be beat.

They also added fresh breads, homemade rainbow and black/white cookies, turnovers and Danish. Desserts are baked fresh everyday and are the best !!!

They also do catering for office or home parties. Dine in plenty of seating or take out. Phone or fax order in ahead to save time. Larry's Italian Deli with great, friendly service is well worth the trip. We drive 25 minutes to enjoy the best deli in Flagler County.

I am from Staten Island New york but live in Palm Coast now...Larry's subs remind me of home quality boars head meat crisp bread on the outside and soft on the inside.....Palm coast people sometimes say that it is a little pricey but for the amount of meat and quality of taste it is definitely worth it..... and if your hungry for breakfast the bacon egg and cheese on a kaiser roll are awesome

Love you Larry! The best sandwiches, antipasto trays, soups, breakfast sandwiches and olives! Staff are great and a lot of their Boars Head deli meats are cheaper than Publix!

We always go to Larry's for their breakfast sandwiches,driving from Matanzas Woods. The very best deal. I also pick up cold cuts and Italian pasta. Very good!

When we go to Larry's Deli we always get great food like back home in NY/NJ. We drive from Matanzas Woods just for their breakfast sandwiches!

This is the best deli by far in this county, I eat here everyday and couldn't be happier with the food, service, and atmosphere... the staff is awesome, a great group of people who are always looking to please the customer. I have tried almost all of the other deli's in Flagler County and not one of them can compare to Larry"s Italian Deli. They have the best subs and Italian Entries, and many other great Italian food's, the service is amazing and the prices are the best around. Larry also makes his own sausage (Italian Sausage, Hot, and Cheese & Parsley) it is without the best sausage on the east coast of Florida. He also makes his own Roast Beef that I know is for a fact is the best roast beef that I have ever had, I have also heard other customers say that his roast beef is the best all around. If you are looking for a REAL Italian Deli then Larry"s is your place.

My husband and I got four of their frozen meals to go and they are delicious. Especially like the Lasagna. The help is very friendly and helpful.

I have eaten from here a dozen times, never disappointed! I even refer to this establishment as "my kitchen".

Their skinny parmesan/parsley sausage pin wheels are awesome! The best around and less expensive than some other places found locally. I have not tried much else but I always go there when I need sausage

Not very impressed. Been here twice now and both times the food was about average and nothing outstanding. The service was good and friendly though.
