This is a great place! Everything is made fresh to order, including their amazing bread! I saw somebodies comment that the place was "dirty" - which is not the case. It may appear that way since it is in a small, old building right by the beach. Building like that get worn down looking so it is a shame that somebody was so judgmental! Sometimes the food takes a few minutes if it is busy but it is well worth the wait because like I said, it is all made fresh! My favorite lunch spot. Delicious!!

I like their food and order it often, I know it will take at least 10 minutes because they cook it to order, unless it's soup, which is also very good. When you walk into a place that has a sign on the door that it is cash only, you may be taken aback because you didn't notice it, but there is also a sign on the cash register and on the menu. If you're and idiot you may be abashed by an attitude.

This was my first time visiting the salty dog and the owners weren't very nice! I asked for something and she rudely pointed at the menu and to top it off no one mentioned it was cash only until I had already ordered and went to pay! Overall this place was rude!

It's clear the owners use quality ingredients and make their food to order. I have been there a few times and the food is good, especially the sandwiches and soups. However, they need to do something about the speed at which they get food out of the kitchen. If you have a job and are going on your lunch break, reconsider your plans. You may be getting a to go box and eating your lunch in the car on the way back to the office. Plus, on each of the two most recent visits, the woman at the register/waitress was either having a really bad day, or just shouldn't be in the service business. To say she is surly is an understatement. It's actually a testament to the food that we keep going back, because it's surely not for their stellar service or great atmosphere.

I had visited salty dogs for a quick lunch last month.I ordered a turkey sandwich,i ate it although i had seen the workers touching food with their bare hands.ewww! One of the gross things was how a man was grabbing chips out of a big bag to fill ziploc bags with chips.i don't think i will ever go back!

This is my favorite spot in Flagler Beach! Tucked on a side street, it really is the town's best kept secret. The food is fresh, with wonderful ingredients and lots of choices. It's NOT the bar food that you find at most of Flagler Beach's restaurants. Lots of healthy options... including my favorite salads in town.
The atmosphere is more like sitting at someone's kitchen at home... nothing fancy. It really is part of the charm of Salty Dog
My recommendation is to choose food off of the large specials menu. They come up with some fantastic combinations. Triple YES to Salty Dog.

This is a great lunch spot! Tim and Barbie do a jam-up job with their menu and food preparation. The food is very fresh and ever so tasty! It does take a bit longer to get your food because every single order is prepared fresh and to order just for you. Check them out when you can and you won't be disappointed! :)

One of our Primary reasons for "wintering" in Flagler Beach every year. Tim and Barbie provide us with great meals at a most reasonable price every year from January thru April. Their attention to detail and witty repartee make every meal a fine dining experience. I like the ability to order virtually anything and Tim's willingness to whip it up. His soups are outstanding and always fresh. We have eaten there several times per week the last 3 years.

This is a tiny spot a block west of the Flagler Pier. If you were passing by you might think have second thoughts about stopping in...........until you try their food. Everything they make is fresh and home made (including their breads), I have been there six or seven times (so far) and have tried something different each time and have not been disappointed. You go there to eat their food - not the atmosphere! Absolutely delicious!!! The owner (Tim) does all the cooking and has been a chef in NYC and New Orleans and brings those experiences and flavors to his table....while Barbie is the waitress, line chef, cashier etc. Keep up the good work!!! (also recommended by Southern Living Magazine),

Our soup and sandwich were both very good & the service was friendly. There is a bit of a wait but everything tasted fresh so that's ok, On the down side, there is no room to sit if the weather is bad and I'm not a big fan of being served by someone with obscenities on their t-shirt. I would still stop by again someday but wouldn't bring my kids.

You wouldn't know it by passing by it, but Salty Dog's is a gourmet sandwich shop that can not be missed. The proprietors are very friendly, and Tim is an amazing chef - he's much more than a sandwich maker. Whenever I come to Flagler Beach for vacation, Salty's - as the locals call it - is absolutely a must-visit. There are times when I've stopped in for lunch two or three (or four) times a week. Check out the daily specials, and try EVERYTHING on the standard menu at least once. I can honestly say, regardless of a little wait time, I have never been disappointed at Salty Dog's. Keep up the DELICIOUS work Barb and Tim. P.S. If you're lucky enough to find yourself at Salty's when Barb is serving homemade dessert, you must make room!

Great lunch, all home made including home made shrimp bisque soup. Hot sandwich of pork and provolone cheese was great on a home made roll. Only draw back is that there is only out door seating. The tables need to be kept clean. I wish them much success in a tough market. Keep up the good work.

Stopped by here recently for lunch - Very tasty! Try their homemade soup du jour or one of their delicious sandwiches (piled high with fillings) or the daily specials. No "fast food" here. It's worth a few extra minutes of waiting to have a meal that's so nicely prepared by such friendly folks. If it's a pleasant day, dine out on the patio!
