Loved the food here. Sushi looked beautiful and was fresh and tasty. The batter on the tempura was light and crispy. But those Dragon Eggs stole the show...... read more!
Review of Red Koi Sushi by Jo Jo from Palm Coast
Everything here was really top grade! The sushi was amazing an the service went above and beyond. It is a little expensive but the ingredients scream quality and freshness and the presentation are impressive. Can't wait to come back 🍣😋

From looking at this place online we expected it to be bigger but it was quite small and the outside patio was disappointing. Service could have been more attentive but we did enjoy the hibachi and most of the sushi rolls we chose were good. I haven't tried other sushi restaurants in Palm Coast yet and would do so before I came back here again.

As a vegetarian I was really happy to see that they offer a variety of vegetable sushi rolls, and I chose four for us to share and ordered the vegetable tempura appetizer as well. The tempura was quite good but apart from the soy sauce it had no flavor or seasoning, and when the sushi rolls arrived, as much as they looked very nice, didn't have much flavor either and tasted quite bland. The only real flavors I ever got were from the soy sauce and the wasabi. We did have good service and it's quite nice inside, but the food, at least the veg options, need some work.

Red Koi is undoubtably the best sushi restaurant in Palm Coast and we also really like the vibe there. Never had a bad roll there and those dragon’s egg things are truly amazing!!! Always great service and they treat you very well.

Saturday night and not too busy and we sat inside. Although we were greeted and seated straight away it took a long time before a server came over. We ordered a few sushi rolls which arrived fast but just on a plate not looking very attractive. The rolls tasted quite good but some fell apart when trying to pick up. Server didn't check on us much and we had to grab his attention for drink refills, etc. They have also no longer sell liquor and cocktails are now just wine of sake based. The Japanese beer was good and very cold. The restaurant is quite nice inside and although not full it was loud, but that kind of added to the atmosphere. Outside could be nicer and you have to put up with the smell of cigar smoke from the stogie bar next door.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here at Red Koi for our weekend date night. Our server was very attentive and thoughtful and the setting inside has a nice Asian bistro feel to it. We had a variety of dishes to share including some appetizers, sushi, tempura, and hibachi, and everything was perfect and so tasty. The fillet in the hibachi was very tender and the shrimps tastes very fresh. The sushi looked so beautiful and the tempura batter was very light and crispy. We both loved Red Koi and can't wait to come back.

Didn't have sushi instead ordered the Vegetable Tempura and Tofu Hibachi which were both really good. Had a great server who gave a lot of attention and the restaurant has nice vibes. Need to come back here again and try the sushi next time.

Loved the food here. Sushi looked beautiful and was fresh and tasty. The batter on the tempura was light and crispy. But those Dragon Eggs stole the show... amazing. Service was awesome and the courtyard seating is very nice.

We were at Red Koi over the weekend and had a great time. The restaurant's location in the European Village offers a great outdoor patio with music. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I started with a cocktail which wasn't very good so I switched to Japanese beer, which was much better. The sushi was excellent. We had a variety of sushi rolls and they were all very tasty and looked amazing. Definitely is as good as any other sushi in Palm Coast and has the best service and atmosphere.

Their Dragon Eggs are amazing and loved the sushi. The Crunchy Roll was the best. The staff are all friendly and liked the atmosphere. Went with friends and we all left happy.

Went for dinner and it was very quiet, and I imagine it would be a better atmosphere with more people as it has very nice decor. The server was extremely friendly and checked on us often. The food is hit or miss... our sushi rolls were very good and nicely resented, but the hibachi was completely tasteless and the batter just not crispy. Would give it another try but will probably stick to the sushi next time.

First time here and we thought the sushi was fresh and tasty and the service was excellent. We sat inside as the outside was too smokey and te atmosphere was lovely, and you can see the sushi chef making the rolls. The sashimi was very fresh and melted in the mouth. Oe roll we had was a chef choice and that was our favorite. This is the best sushi we have tasted in Palm Coast so far and will be back. It's just a shame for all the smoke as we like dining outside.

Very cool inside with nice decor, bench seating with cushions, and wood/tile/brick textures. The sushi counter is visible and you can watch the chefs in action. Our rolls came out looking like an Instagram photo and all tasted so good and fresh. Our server kept checking on us and we were very happy with our time here. It's well worth heading here when you next crave sushi - it's the best we've had in Palm Coast.
Highlight of visit: All we ordered was so good but the Red Koi Roll and Golden Apple roll were our favorites.

There was some confusion when we first arrived and we nearly left, but after that debacle the meal went well. They have some modern rolls plus the usual and more traditional ones, and all that we ordered tasted very good. Apparently, the Dragon Eggs are a must here and I can see why... they're really recommended! The only miss was the Krab Rangoon which was hard, had almost no filling, and was tasteless. Everything else including the drinks was excellent.

When we first approached the maitre d person we thought it was closing as she just gave us a blank stare and didn't offer any guidance, then made enough of an effort to mumble for us to seat ourselves! Fortunately, our server was friendly and did a good job. We ordered a few rolls which we really enjoyed. They looked great too. We ordered more than we could eat and took the rest home which still tasted great the next day. The restaurant was very empty so the atmosphere wasn't very lively, but it's a beautiful place and I'm sure with some more customers the vibe would be great... and a better maitre d LOL

Exceptional staff and a nice setting in the Euro Village but the smell of cigars from next door was awful. Their sushi rolls looked and tasted so good! They really know how to wow with rolls! Everything tasted very fresh. We'll eat inside next time!

I took a date here over the weekend and it was the perfect spot... cool atmosphere and cool staff. Always love sushi as it's a great sharing food. Their rolls are awesome and the Black Dragon Roll was our best one. The price can add up when you order several rolls but I think it's good value considering the craftsmanship and quality of ingredients.

Good sushi that's nicely presented and displayed. I got all cooked rolls because I'm nervous eating raw fish, but they were all tasty. Service was on par until the food arrived then our server disappeared... had to hunt him to get more drinks. The EV atmosphere helps make it a good location and the vibe is good.
Highlight of visit: The Black Widow Roll was excellent and could of eaten many more!

The outside seating here is really disappointing! We visited during the EV Sunday market and all the restaurants and bars had very nice outside seating areas and facilities, but Red Koi was like sitting in a construction yard! There were stacked up chairs and equipment, flower and plant boxes empty leaving them to appear like old packing crates. My wife really wanted sushi so I gave in and we sat outside with only one other table taken yet everywhere else in the EV was packed. The service was nice enough but not very attentive. The sushi was actually very nicely presented and tasted good but the hibachi chicken was dry and tough and with the soy sauce it was too salty. If they did a nice patio area out front with tables well laid out, added some plants in the empty planters, and cleared away the unused equipment, they would have a much more inviting restaurant. Right now I won't recommend as there are definitely nicer sushi restaurants in the area and better choices in the EV.
