You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Chef really knows how to cook fish! Servers know what they are doing and all are friendly. Outside patio is great for dogs! I'm a widow and usually go alone. I've never felt out of place -- not even when I sit at the bar because of the crowds.

Cool little shack right over from the beach... outside is nice but they can remove the holiday stuff now! I ordered the crab cake sandwich and thought it was expensive, but it was well worth it! It's like an entree in a bun! The bleu chips are an awesome app. Service was very friendly but could have done with one more serving as it was too busy.

We finally stopped here after driving past it so many times. We had always assumed it was just some small beachy snack place, but they although it is small and rustic the food is excellent. We sat outside which wasn't the best as motorcycles were parked out front being loud and sending fumes our way, but wouldn't hold obnoxious people against the restaurant, and the views were very nice. For appetizers we shared the Avocado Egg Rolls which were superb and the Crab Cakes which were entree priced at over $20 but worth it. For entrees I had the Peperred Trigger Fish which was a first for me and I really enjoyed it, and my wife chose the Scallops which were very tender and nicely seasoned. They had some good beers too and overall we thought the food was excellent although expensive, and it taught us the lesson again of never to judge a book by its cover.

The Mahi Tacos are excellent and my DH loved his burger. Service was on the aloof side and we didn't think it was the most comfortable place, but it does have a beachy feel and good view. But obnoxious bikers outside sat with their bikes running providing everyone with a backdrop of noise and fumes!!

Great tasting food and a fun beachy ambiance. Service can be a little slow but always friendly. This place knows how to build an amazing burger and is great with seafood. Reasonable prices for the quality.

We have been vacationing in Palm Coast for 22 years and Turtle Shack has the best seafood and delicious non-seafood dishes in town. Our service has always been amazing. We eat at this restaurant at least twice while on vacation.
Highlight of visit: Crab cakes, jalapeño cilantro linguine, any burger, prime fries

I like all the food options at Turtle Shack and everything I have eaten there has been very good and tasty. My favorites are the Mussels for an appetizer and the Peppered Tuna entree which has an amazing sauce. I must say though that the service is intermittent on some visits but I like sitting outside and seeing the ocean.
Highlight of visit: The Peppered Tuna is delcious.

It doesn't look much from the outside, or the inside for that matter, and service can be not so good at times, but the grub here is truly excellent. They do some great seafood dishes and you can't better their burgers. Sit outside for good views.

You could tell they were short staffed and although stretched our server still managed to offer us personalized service, but the tables did appear to need a good wipe down. For an appetizer we had the Ahi Tuna which was just seared enough and came with a delicious teriyaki blueberry sauce. As a main I played it safe and opted for their version of Fish & Chips which uses mahi-mahi in a stout beer batter, and I was very impressed with the lightness and flavor. My girlfriend ordered the Mahi Tacos Blackened with upgraded toppings which she loved. Overall a very enjoyable meal where we loved every bite and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Real easy going place with good service and fabulous food. I could easily feast on any of their appetizers as they're amazing especially the yummy Avocado Rolls and Prime Time Fries 😋 You can't go wrong with any of their burgers and the Crab Cakes must be tried at least once.

Go here for the crabcakes which are the best you'll find south of Maryland. Husband gets their burgers and loves them. For some reason we don't always have the best service and it's not the most comfortable restaurants but the food really makes up for the shortcomings. Nice outside when the weather is nice.

We're staying at the campground close by and our neighbors there recommended the Turtle Shack. It's a very rustic beachy locals type of place with many good sounding items on the menu. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich and hubby had his usual burger and both were superb. Our server was a darling who really went above and beyond. We weren't rushed and enjoyed just being there. An excellent find and highly recommended.

Review by Heather, Palm Coast 8/27/20213.5.0Food:Service:Atmosphere:
Everyone we met says we have to try this place and although it was quite good, we didn't think it lived up to the reputation. It's very rustic and chairs were uncomfortable, service was spotty, and food expensive for what we had. Fish wasn't too bad but side veggies tasted like they came from a bag of mixed frozen vegetables and rice from a packet. Husband's burger was huge but looked like someone had sat on it. Also didn't get many fries and ones he had were hard. Perhaps we went on an off day as friends can't stop raving about it, so we'll give it another try.

Turtle Shack in Palm Coast's European Village offers a seafood-focused menu with dishes like Caribbean-style super grouper, jumbo scallops, and sesame ahi tuna praised for their fresh flavors. The appetizers, including bacon bleu chips, calamari with peppers, avocado egg rolls, and pierogis, receive consistent positive mentions. Cocktails have been well received, adding to the drink options. The outdoor courtyard is a popular spot, contributing to a lively dining experience, while indoor seating is less favored. Service is frequently described as friendly, attentive, and efficient. Some guests note inconsistencies, particularly with crab cakes and certain taco preparations, and a few miss the original beach location's taste. Overall, Turtle Shack provides a pleasant atmosphere and enjoyable seafood offerings at moderate prices, especially for those who prefer dining al fresco.
