Some creative options and most tasted very good. A couple of rolls were kind of flavorless and boring. Service intermittent. Cigar smoke disgusting!!... read more!
Review of Red Koi Sushi by Pat from Palm Coast
The filet and scallop hibachi was on the expensive side but came with soup, rice, veggies, etc., and tasted pretty good. Their volcano sushi roll is basically a jacked-up California roll and was really tasty. The server was good at first but after the food came he disappeared. Nice outside seating area if the weather is warm.

Ugh! What have they done with the outside seating area? It used to be so nice sitting out there but now they've removed all the walls and opened it up and it's lost all the atmosphere and just blends into the walkway and next door. So we asked to be moved inside and it felt much better. However, the food was still excellent and our sushi selections were fresh and delicious. Their Golden Apple roll is my favorite but all we have had so far are wonderful. Staff are professional and prices reasonable for quality.

Good sushi all made fresh to order. Looked wonderful when it arrived and tasted excellent. The Dragon Egg appetizer was delicious. Atmosphere is nice but others seated too close around us and were obnoxious. Staff friendly.

The hibachi was hands down best around. Amazing flavor with every bite. Even the soup has a great flavor. Will definitely be back for more. Best in town!

Impressed with the rolls and the creativity of the chefs. Best sushi I've had in Palm Coast so far and the setting inside is very cool. Service was excellent but I removed half a star for the cocktails which were not very good. Stick to wine or beer! it's nice to walk around the EV after.

Nice restaurant and we liked sitting outside with the music playing, but sushi was about average. No rolls were really outstanding but tasted OK and were fresh. We were very warmly welcomed but server was colder. Drinks tasted weak. It wasn't as bad I may sound, just average food and a nice place to hang outside on a warm night.

Not Red Koi's fault but the European Village is really starting to looking shabby. I noticed a lot of litter and the grounds just aren't well kept like they used to be. Red Koi however was a wonderful experience. We ordered several types of sushi and each one was delicious and beautifully served. Staff are very friendly but the sushi did take an extra long time to arrive. The Golden Apple and Honey Rolls were my favorite. Men with cigars outside so we sat inside which had a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Nice time here last night with my wife and our two friends. Sat outside and ordered appetizers and several sushi rolls for us all to share. The Dragon Egg appetizer was the best dish! The sushi all looked very good when they came out and mostly tasted great with a couple being much better than the others. The stand out sushi was the Fuji Volcano Roll. Staff could be more attentive but nice enough. Left quite well satisfied and we enjoyed the experience.

Very good sushi nicely presented. Great service and grateful everyone working was masked. Outside had heaters and was nicer than being in. Only let down was the cocktails which were really not good, so I stuck with wine and BF to beer.

New modern sushi place located in Euro Village. Sushi was good and seemed nice fresh with reasonable prices. Not the best I've had but probably the best in Palm Coast except for Ai. I think I prefer the more calm atmosphere of Ai over Red Koi as it was too rowdy for our liking. Service was very friendly but not very attentive.

Food here was very good and really enjoyed the sushi and our friends were impressed with the hibachi. Ambiance is nice and seating comfortable. The negatives though are that the service was kind of off and not the friendliest and the cocktails were not good at all. Maybe our server was just having a bad day as was the bar tender, if the even have one! But loved the food and we still had a good night.

We tried the Red Koi out tonight since one of our friends highly recommended it. We were very impressed with everything. I had a mai tai since it was on special tonight, and my husband had a saki that our server suggested. We started with the dumplings and filet mignon appetizer and for our meals shared a sushi roll and a hibachi. The filet mignon was absolutely delicious and our sushi roll was the Koi roll and it was very good as well. My only complaint was it was a bit noisy inside, there was a table with a young child that was very loud, we wound up moving out to the patio instead and enjoyed the rest of our meal.

We really weren't very impressed with Red Koi. We sat inside which was very bright and stark with huge mirrors and didn't feel at all relaxing or like a sushi restaurant. Staff were nice enough but not very attentive and kind of scattered. The tempura was very greasy and the sushi rolls were very dull. There was no presentation at all and the plates and server-ware were just cheap reusable plastic. It felt like everything was low end but with quite high prices. Cocktail was pretty bad, too. It just tasted like a bottom shelf vodka and mix were used. I was hoping this would of been a good addition to the European Village but I doubt very much I'd return.

Very good sushi with lots of choices. Ask for the wasabi honey sauce... it's so good. The tempura was light and crispy. Nice setting and the people friendly. Great restaurant addition to the European Village.

Glad to see this open in the European Village. We were actually there for another reason, saw Red Koi and decided to try for lunch. Not really in the mood for sushi so we chose hibachi meals instead. Very hot out so chose to eat inside which had nice decorations and atmosphere. The hibachi is not table side but cooked in the kitchen and served to you, but you get just as good food but without the entertainment which is fine with us. The hibachi food was very tasty but the salad was disappointing and a bit of a soggy mess. Overall it was a nice lunch and we will return again to try the sushi.
Highlight of visit: Fillet hibachi was very good.

I think this has the making of a good restaurant, just a bad time to be opening any eating establishment and hard to really gauge anywhere under these circumstances. Apparently, this is owned by the same people that operate Sakura who's sushi I was not too impressed with. However, at Red Koi it tasted much better and the ambiance more relaxing and to theme. BUT unless you like the very strong smell of cigar smoke I highly recommend you don't eat outside. There's a smoke shop right next door and they were sitting outside blowing smoke our way like a steam train! It made my wide feel nauseated and no way could we eat food out there! I guess there's not much they can do about that! Big shame.

Very impressive and stylish restaurant with inside and outside dining areas and a welcome addition to the European Village. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. Very good selection of sushi rolls and appetizers, etc. Staff seemed comfortable and familiar for a new restaurant.
